I don't understand why you chose to risk 80% of your bank tbh but learn from your mistake and don't trust strangers. Hell, even friends on runescape can betray you. I found that one out the hard way. Just chalk this up to experience and move on. At least you have some cash left and you won't be so foolish in future.

I've been saying that for years...I have a feeling that lots of people dismissing the idea would find themselves with a symbol attached to them... Yep. I think that and permanent removal from hi-scores would be enough deterrent for anyone who's not just gold farming with the intent of RWT.

Random event guy is definitely trolling. Every time I get a maze I feel like putting my fist through the screen. Jagex needs to remove even more random events because the only thing they succeed in is annoying legit players. Macros can easily pass all of them.

I still say Jagex needs a symbol next to a caught bots name to denote that player as a bot. Jagex still get the membership money and people have less incentive to bot the more time consuming tasks.

Don't forget all the people using untradeable potions have no need to buy combat supplies.

It gave normal runecrafting xp I believe. So you could just buy essence from the banker then rc and repeat for massive xp rates per hour.

Prime example of why old school gamers are elitist to today's gamers. if you can't have it immediately, you want to cheat for it. If you have to put some brain power into it, you want to cheat for it. If it involves repetitive tasks, you want to cheat for it. There are plenty of single player games that can fulfill your childish need for instant gratification. so true.

personal satisfaction of being "done" with a skill you hate? You could go on a private server right now, edit that skill to 99, and feel the exact same amount of satisfaction as you would if you botted it.

What would be the point in botting a 99 if you know and everyone else knows you botted it? Are people here seriously saying they would bot 99 runecrafting etc just so they could say "hey look guys i botted 99 runecrafting aren't i pro".

Don't be silly. You'd obviously have to tick a check box that states you acknowledge you are only "renting" GP from Jagex. Its illegal to destroy federal reserve notes because the government owns them. Doesnt mean they can take the ones im "renting" without a [cabbage] storm. Like I said Jagex will get themselves in a legal mess should they start selling runescape money and if such players happen to get banned. Without a [cabbage] storm, maybe not. But definitely without a legality issue. It would be completely legal for Jagex to ban you after renting money from them, because you broke their terms and conditions (which you'd agree to before you rented gold from them).

To be honest I do remember a time when they had decent customer support. I remember being stuck in a random event (glitched) and sent in a message asking them to teleport me out of it. They did so. They removed the ability to send them messages though.
