  1. So it's basically gonna be a community where members can pick and choose their temporary duo/trio partners? I love doing bandos and i often want to go when my usual partners aren't online, so this would be perfect for me. Only real gripe with it is that it should have a set of minimum requirments, to keep only the true bandoers in. (Such as 120+ cb, 67+ summ, 70+ prayer) and then obviously when finding a partner you could have your own personal requirments such as ovls/turm/claws/torva/chaotics/yak etc. etc. The above levels are just suggestions of course.
  2. Are we talking about slayer or general dragon killing? If it's slayer, just use a bonecrusher and forget all about banking. If you do dragons off-task for prayer... Stop. Just go do your best money making method and use the cash to buy bones that you can alter. Why do the labour when you can afford to pay someone to do it for you? :P If you don't have access to good money makers or just love killing dragons, i'd recommend you take your best BoB full of supplies and just bury bones as you go, only picking up and keeping ones when there is space. So at the end of a nice long trip you'll have buried many bones, but have a full inventory and BoB of them left to use on the altar or sell.
  3. Swift gloves. I hear the gloves do not work with bolt specials. Does this mean if i used them with diamond bolts they'd never double... Or does it mean that it will occasionally double bolt and the 2nd bolt will just be a regular none special hit? What is the exact chance of dong a double bolt special? Does the 2nd bolt consume an additional bolt from your ammo? Goliath gloves. Better DPS on waterfiends than chaotic maul/Sara sword? Good for welfare PKing? Prefered over other chaotics for anything other than waterfiends? Spellcaster gloves. ... Is there any reason to use these other than the +2 magic attack over barrows gloves? In general. How long do gloves take to degrade? Is this effected by wielding a weapon?
  4. Yeah... I honestly can't imagine losing a game now days with 25 people and all the bots busted. If you are losing i'd guess people are actively ruining the game by losing on purpose. Which is a shame, but isn't very common on the pest control worlds at all. Anyway, as for the clan, you will NOT find a big permenant PC team as there are not many people that actually play pest control after they get their first set of void. Just deal with the PC worlds or don't get void.
  5. Yeah there are teams but it's usually like 20-30 people which means really slow games. Dude. Veteran boat can be 1 manned if you're good enough, i'd rather be on a world of 75 noobs and get instant games than 20 pros but have to wait 5 minutes each game.
  6. Theres really no such as a pest control team. Just do whatever is the most populated PC world, with the bots dead, you usually win every game.
  7. I'm curious if this means i'll get 2 torva platebodies, or double the chance of getting a torva platebody. Sure they have the same longterm effect, but i'm hoping for the latter, so it's not so luck reliant.
  8. 132 Magic :shock: That 1125 with Storm of Armadyl :blink: If that's counting the each level = 3% damage, that doesn't apply after +7 levels sadly. :( But the SoA and Slayer Dart damage per level increase does work... Not sure the max but i'm guessing a lot lower than 1125.
  9. This is the most helpful advice so far. :) @Powerfrog: I was about 104 combat when I got members, I collect every charm I see and get, recently dumped all my gold ones. Do you recommend training Slayer furthur? I've never been a fan of slayer myself. The only reason to train it is if you actually want to train slayer/total level, it's very rarely BETTER than killing whatever you want. For example, waterfiends or rock lobsters have a higher charm rate than any slayer task, other than that 1/50 chance you get a waterfiends task and can use your slayer helm to speed it up a tad for an hour or two. But there is a new slayer dungeon coming out, that may bring with it an epic source of XP or money, and make everyone want to train slayer.

The worse thing than people with lots of experience thinking they know it all is the LOW levels that read things on a wiki once like that void is higher strength than bandos with chaotics, and take from that, that void is superior to bandos with a dragon dagger, and defend their (wrong) fact till death, ignoring all evidence and logic. But yeah... I recently had an argument with a fairly high level that claims to be a 'pvm pro' that thought EEE was better at corp than BGS. Because at maxed stats, turmoil and overloads, "BGS has a 1/60 chance of hitting" A fact taken straight from the "I missed once so never again" pool of thought.
  11. I don't have experience with glacors or combat mage in general so i can't give you a huge wall of text of advice. But i do have something. :) Use dreadnips. Not only do they hit well and poison it, they also damage it when the minions are out (You can even KO it with minions out) so that should speed up your kills quite a bit.
  12. @ Q, you missed out the hardest requirment for goliath gloves, WGS. (Which requires you getting barrow gloves anyway) Speaking of which, the requirments for WGS and stats and equipment to kill TDs efficiently should be every med level players goal. They're one of the most rewarding creatures to kill, getting the required stats and quests will improve your account a lot, and in my opinion, they're a lot of fun to fight compared to boring slayer creatures. Definatley get a regular berseker ring asap, it's only about 3.5m and gives +4 strength. Rapier would obviously be the biggest upgrade, i'm not sure how many tokens you still need, but even 200k doesn't take long when you're already 82 dungeoneering. Just do quests whenever you want to take a break from training or whatever else you do on RS. B gloves will come to you in time. Imbuing your zerker ring is another +4 strength, and very useful, but does take a long time. You're limited to a few ranks per hour so it will take at the very least 25 hours gameplay, but getting the ranks for the hour only takes about 40 minutes, so you can spend the other 20 doing something else, like fletching in the nearby bank, or watching tv. You should definatley start training summoning, or at least collecting charms, as it's essential for almost everything at high levels. Oh. DFS is practically useless for anything in runescape. Train herblore or prayer with the money instead.
  13. He would fight just like a normal duo, the tank would tank and do some damage while the offensive one does most of the work. If the tank has significantly worse stats than the offensive one he may still energy transfer to him, just to speed the kills up. Sorry about not updating this thread by the way, i kinda posted it and forgot it existed >.> Now that they're out, both players should definatley bring a 100+ dreadnips and use them on the boss. This will speed up kills significantly.
  14. I dunno if anyone has tried it yet. But can you bring a cannon into the fights? I was just thinking that may have been overlooked by jagex and would make some fights a joke.
  15. Notice that the Defence room will not be good for Zerker's, and secondly the brackish blade boosts stats like a combat potion so there was no need for me to waste money on pots. But apart from that thanks for the advise. I didn't know the guide was just for pures and zerkers, i'm just saying if you're a main, it's worth doing the other rooms. And you shluld be using supers or extremes if you have them, and a dragon dagger, for faster kills.
  16. It's actually better to get all minigame tokens and use all. The drop rate is MUCH better and it makes up for the time spent getting the slower tokens. And you should really be potted and using prayers and a dds while in the room. The faster you can kill, the more defenders you'll get per token. A few 10000 coins is worth it. A bunyip is nice to bring for healing (high levels won't even need any food at with one)

But still, you can only get 15 gloves at a time, but you can use any additional points on dreadnips, so it's not wasted :P You can only get 15 withdrawals: either gloves or dreadnips each time. Additional claims aren't count on either dreadnips or gloves. I know. I was saying that you can use those points to get a few 1000 dreadnips if you really want to kill bosses and not use your gloves. So the points don't go to waste. Dreadnips seem pretty powerful, so having a few 1000 stock should be useful to everyone :P

  20. That brings another question to mind. How long do they last? I've heard times from 1-5 hours... Even if it's 1 hour, 5 minutes of boss killing doesn't sound like a huge strain. Especially when you also get dreadnips for doing it.
  21. I guessed it would be. Someone told me it was more effective on nomad than a rapier once... But i don't know if he was exaggerating or plain lieing. I'm looking forward to getting a pair myself to test at waterfiends. even if they're whip accuracy and strength, they should be considerabley more DPS than a SS/Cmaul.
  22. How is the accuracy though? Does it hit like a 48 crush weapon, or is it more accurate?
  23. It's faster to do 6 in a row than it is to do 1, claim reward, climb stairs... 6 times. I'm not sure how exactly you decided it was slower. (If you're thinking killspeed is slower with handicaps, it's not. Most do not effect killspeed and 3 nudges is more than enough to avoid the ones that do) And i agree my 100 kills is nowhere near enough to be definitive proof, but from the small sample it certainly looks a lot better. There is no definitive proof the 1 and claim is better either. And i think it's a hell of a lot more than 5 times more drop rate per chest. More like 20.
  24. This is just a theory and hasn't been proven. But doing 6-7 climber matches (Just keep going until you get a boss you can't easily kill fast) is a MUCH higher journal page rate for me than doing 30+ or doing 1 and quitting, and i've all methods many times. It's also much better for getting dom weapons, mines, and helphorns. The reason for this is because if you're doing 1 climber you'll get about 5k points. Which will make the reward box about 3 items + xp book and food (scorp and pots have a very high chance of being these items) whereas 35-50k (6-8) gets about 14 items, so you get the xp, you get the food and pots, then you get additional items like journals and dom weapons. At least that's what i've experienced getting my 500 kills. I did 400 kills, about 250 of which were 30+ endurance and 20+ climber, 150 of which were 1 climber/endurance and quit. This got me a grand total of 4 pages. Using my method for 400-500 i have got 4 additional pages in very little time. Try it out.
