Bursting + Barraginging lobsters.
I'm a long way from unlocking SoA but actually that's a brilliant idea i didn't consider. And yeah i knew i did something wrong with that calc. Thanks. SoL only saves 12.5% of 1 specific rune by itself right? I don't see how that's more valuable than an infinitely long trip (Hell, even the prayer pots saved might be better cash than the runes)

Bursting + Barraginging lobsters.
So as i don't have access to wopltinger, i should just forget about magic damage boosts? And as the 5% damage from sol increase only works on 1 of 9 lobsters, i should just use the mace instead for infinite prayer. Battlerobes: 6 hours degrade. 2 hours to aquire. Saves 3m every 8 hours (375k/hour) but results in much fewer charms and xp, and significantly shorter trips. Yeah looks like i'm going with Akrisae's. Thanks for all the help, guys. One small thing though. At what income do ovl's become worth it? Surely if i have infinite prayer i'll have lots of space, and a hypophetical 50m/hour money making method, they're worth using?

More dragons, or another dragon boss
I personally think there are far too many dragons already. I'd rather see another original boss than another green dragon with a palette swap. Something like a hydra that lives in lava. You can only attack it when it pops it's heads out of the lava and have to fight the baby heads until you get it angry and the main head comes out. Which has different attacks, including splashing lava all over you when it comes out, if you don't get out of the way in time. Slash attacks are useless, of course. :P I think it's silly they put so much effort into so many cool bosses for dungeoneering, one, rather pointless and unrewarding (after your chaotics) skill/minigame. Yet spend several years between new bosses on the mainland.

Bursting + Barraginging lobsters.
Hey i need to train 94-99 mage while collecting charms. Was curious how i should go about doing this. I understand that bursting is roughly 600k/hour in rune costs with charged battle robes and staff of light. Barraging is closer to 2m/hour in the above gear. How much magic xp would i be likely to get an hour bursting, with +30% magic damage, +110 magic accuracy, overloaded*. How much magic xp would i be likely to get an hour barraging, with +30% magic damage, +110 magic accuracy, overloaded*. How many charms bursting? How many charms barraging? At what income/hour is it better to not charge the robes and instead use ahrims or something. *Are overloads worth using? Assuming full creation cost.

How to have semi permenant skill boosts (for overloads/effigies and others)
I undestand this is old news (It's been this way since boosts existed!) but i also know a lot of people have no idea about this and waste mills (trillions collectivley) gettung unneccessary levels. And instead of bossting a skill with skillcape or whatever else to check, simply log in and out while stewing after 50 or so seconds, to guarantee you won't lose the boost in the bad time, and save yourself from waiting for the level to drop.

How to have semi permenant skill boosts (for overloads/effigies and others)
First of all. This could technically be seen as abusing the system. If you personally know that this is against the rules and jagex are against it, please inform me and delete this thread. If not, enjoy! Boosting skills can be expensive and slow. Don't you hate it when you spend 30 spicy stews to finally get that +5 herblore boost, and have it only last 10 seconds? Well you can change that. First of all make your stew and drink it as usual. Quickly check your stats. If you have reached the level you need, log out to the lobby immediatley. If you have not, simply try again until you do. (Remember to restore your stats to normal if you're using stews and get negative levels.) Log back in and you have a full 60 seconds to do whatever you want with your boosted stats. Log out after about 55 seconds to be safe and repeat. As long as you only log in for 60 seconds or less each time, your boosted stats will not degrade. This works because stat degrading works on a timer that ticks every 60 seconds from the moment you log in. So by logging back in, you effectivley restart this timer, giving you infinite time.

84-91 herblore. The best way for an avid bosser.
I very rarely kill dragons and i already have about 100 super antis banked from a while ago when i could boost for them. I think i'll take your advice and make a few 100 extra though, for when i want to kill miths (Or if i ever get around to slaying)

Best way to train melee?
My main goal is to max out all combat related things. Such as overloads, turmoil, 138cb, absolute best gear, all combat equipment unlocking or boss unlocking quests... I don't really care about things like fletching or farming unless they unlock something i'll use for combat. Currently don't care about slayer, but i am anxious to see what the new update is going to be. (All effigies currently going on what i consider the hardest useful skill, summoning.) Monkey altar, how close are we talking here? If i were to use prayer potions instead and bank for more when out, would it be better or worse xp? Assume constant turmoil and protection.

84-91 herblore. The best way for an avid bosser.
Hi there. I've decided it's time to get overloads (stewed of course) and was wondering how i should do it. I need about 2.8m experience. I have 90m to spend. (Less is better. Of course.) I'm personally thinking about: 3500 special restores - 700k xp - 12.9m cost 3000 extreme attack - 660k xp - 11.5m cost 3000 extreme strength - 690k xp - 16.78m cost 1000 extreme defense - 240k xp - 5.58m cost 1000 extreme magic - 250k xp - 4.3m cost 1000 extreme ranging - 260k xp - 8.26m cost Total xp = 2.8m Total cost = 59.32m (Prices based on current GE averages. Can probably give or take 10m here.) ...Does that sound good? Is it too many or too few of anything? I will mainly be doing bandos solo crashes, maybe a few other bosses such as corp. Will also be doing some general combat trainging, charm collecting, and slayer, but not going crazy with it. I know it looks like i've put a lot of thought into this (i have) and that i've already made up my mind, but trust me, i havn't. I appreciate all advice.

No More Nomad... No More!... Or Not.
Well done. But i'm with the 'BUY TURMOIL AND OVERLOADS BEFORE I STRANGLE YOU' clan. They're simply amazing and refusing to purchase them now is something you'll regret the second you get them later.

Best way to train melee?
Ahh. Thanks a lot for pointing that out, i would have done the quest and got all ready then been extremely disappointed. Do you know if it has a defensive style? Thanks for the suggestion, but i'm not a fan of slayer. It's slow effigies, slow xp, slow charms... I'd much rather 'grind' one creature that gives better than all on average, for example waterfiends or black demons. Ape atol sounds great. But i'm confused how it's such good xp. Is it just because you're constantly in combat there or something? Or is that under special circumstances, like 1hp dharoking? So far it looks like i'm sticking to troll invasion and maybe trying few waterfiend and ape atol trips.

Mith Dragon invent/method
It's better to wear magic defense gear and pray melee. Use a rapier and dragon defender with super antifires. A 15 dragon task should only take about 10-15 minutes if maxed, easily done in one trip with an inventory of prayer pots, some emergency food and a uni and soulsplit flicking for healing.

Why is everyone so hot on Bandos chestplate?
Introduce sara armour and i'm ok with this.

Why is everyone so hot on Bandos chestplate?
Sorry to digress the thread but they're really taking away the offensive bonuses of all armour, including bandos (and torva)? ...Why? They're taking one of the only ways you can differentiate between armour in runescape (Lets face it. Once you have access to things like soulsplit and unis, defense is meaningless for 95% of the game. The very reason bandos is at the price it is now.) and destroying it? WHY?!?

Best way to train melee?
Hey. I feel like training 92-99 attack to finally complete my character in terms of offensive melee, and i'm wondering what the best way to do it is. I have about 90m to spend, but obviously would prefer to spend as little as possible. I have turmoli, extremes, c rapier, c maul. I currently do troll invasion hard mode with full strength gear (except firecape, don't have one currently) and constantly claw special, with rapier for when out of specials. This gets over 100k attack xp/hour (I havn't actually checked the exact amount. I'll do that next time i go.) I'd absolutley love if i could get decent charms/effigies while doing this, but it isn't extremely important. Oh by the way this isn't for Host earl if you're looking at my highscores, this is for my (former) pking account.

82-99 Herblore...what to make?
I'd definatley recommend making a lot of spec restores if you ever want to do certain bosses. (Bandos, TDs, sara, nex...) Hell pretty much any boss that is meleed, including corp with a stat hammer. Plus they're kinda cheap compared to other extremes (Or at least were not long ago. Prices seem to have rose recently.) But yeah as everyone else says, extremes all the way. That's the entire point of training herblore and if you don't do it now, you'll just be wasting 100s of millions later on when you need them.

Money makes money?
Depends how much money we're talking about here. I personally have about 150m and i've spent about 70m on gear such as bandos fury claws, 10m for stuff like cannonballs and pots, and the other 70m is for medium term investments. (1-5 days) That i usually expect to make 4-5m profit from. Flipping is faster cash but requires almost constantly being at the GE, and i like to train and boss kill without worrying about my offers. If i had 2b it would be a different story. I'd flip all day because it is vastly better cash than anything else in the game.

PvM Bandos Community Thread
like i said, it depends on your assigned role during the battle. I was just passing on the info of how i take no damage as long as my prayer lasts (hence why reverence is the best choice). I'm not looking for just Twinked characters, although they are more than invited. Most players don't have enough cash to afford some of the top tier'd gear or overloads.. that's why we are here. ***On a side note if you already have a bandos community feel free to leave some suggestions and comments on what has/would make it better (Keep in mind this is not a gear debate forum) I didn't mean to demean you or anything i was just pointing out what i've learned from experience hoping that it will help you or anyone else that reads this. The main thing that triggered it was you not mentioning claws... Without claws the trip will be much slower and in a duo you will often lose over 400 lifepoints just by having a slower kill, even poor people can lend a pair of claws for a few hours. As for making the community better, just be sure that everyone gets on with each other. Maybe hold some fun events such as a bandos mass, while not most profitable, it's a good way to get to know everyone and for people to see their potential partners in action for when they want to team in future. Always stick to coinshare in masses, people will get jealous and nasty if they don't get a drop, even if they don't display it immediatley.

Is there a Guide or something for Prayer Flashing?
You should activate it the milisecond before your attack animation STARTS. Not when your whip hits the enemy, the very second you begin to swing it. The same applies for protection prayers by the way, you activate the milisecond before the enemy starts his attack. Practice the protects to see yourself doing it correctly and then apply the same for your attacks.

Question Asked Many Times - Answers - Behind The Scenes
This needs a serious grammar and spelling check before anyone takes it seriously. I'm guessing english isn't your first language. Also, you messed up in the first sentence. Colour detection bots are NOT the only ones left. There are 'Click location X' 'Click location Y' bots that can be used for suprisingly complex things. (Theres a video on youtube of one withdrawing herbs and water vials, mixing them together, banking them and repeating)

Is there a Guide or something for Prayer Flashing?
Start off with saving SOME prayer points. Give yourself about a second of leeway, so it will drain like 30% total prayer points. Then try focus on shortening this time until you waste no prayer at all. I personally just use flicks to switch between protects and soulsplit, because saving a few prayer pots isn't worth the effort, but flicking soulsplit can save your life. Perhaps flick in f2p as restoring prayer is a pain. But in members you should be perfectly fine to just bring prayer potions or use a prayer restoring aura. It's much easier to do if you have the same attack speed as your enemy.

Fastest mage experience in game
A really good alternative to barraging is surge spells and simultaneously high alching inbetween casts. Storm of armadyl gives a little better xp but is rediculously expensive. For truely epic XP do this on something with really low magic defense, like black demons. For great xp and more charms/effigies/money. Do it on mith dragons. Water surge and alching is about 220k magic xp/hour on demons, 200k magic xp/hour on miths. (I've only ever done fire surge, but that's based on fire's accuracy and water's base xp. Fire is rumoured to be more accurate on metals but i've seen no definitive proof.) Storm of armadyl is around 220k magic xp/hour on miths. Really not worth using on demons unless you literally have trillions IMO.

PvM Bandos Community Thread
Your recommended gear is kinda... Wrong. Aura: Vampirism or Penance > Greater reverance Quiver: Zamorak Arrow (protection from Zamorak's followers) ((The best killcount locations don't even have sara creatures)) Helm: Verac's Helm or Nez helm. None-tanker with good healing can afford to use a nez instead for higher strength. Cape: SW cape or fire cape huge prayer bonus or melee bonus with nice defense. Choose accordingly to other equipment and prayer bonus. Amulet: Fury > Glory Chest: Karil's Top. (Arma gives negative melee stats) Legs: Bandos' Tassets or Veracs skirt, skirt for tank. Boots: Steadfast > Dragon Gloves: Goliath > Barrows (Make sure they're fully charged) Shield: Dragon defender (Extra damage speeds up kills and results in better trips) Weapon: Chaotic maul kills graardor faster than any other weapon. CLS with d defender is a close second. Speacial Weapon: Claws are ESSENTIAL for a good killspeed. If you don't have claws i doubt you'll be invited to many teams. Ring: Zerk ring (i) > Ring of vigour > Warrior ring (i) > Zerk ring > Onyx ring (i) > Warrior ring Use an ancient mace as your bandos item if you don't have tassets or BCP. Drop when you enter Graardor's room. Markers are only useful if you use overloads.

Stop decreasing the price of the dragon platelegs.
Dragon platelegs are blown out of the water by the similarly priced barrows legs and the fact is, 10000s of dragons are killed every day by 1000s of slayers, whereas very few people join the p2p game and reach 60 defense in comparison. Most items suffer the same fate because runescape has a really silly system that relies on an ever growing supply of new gamers joining the game, which just isn't happening. BH was (probably accidentally) a brilliant leak of pressure for many of these items and a truly brilliant way in sorting out the market prices... That is until they got rid of it. #-o
