  1. Again. It's based on %. With dclaws and strength gear your slash bonus will be around 68. 10% increase makes that by 6.8, to 74.8 Barrows gloves alone give +12 slash bonus, making you 80 slash bonus. Considerabley more accurate, considerabley higher hits. Void is only good for chaotics and range.
  2. Well. Based on the actual stats and nothing else. Rapier is 1.16 more accurate than the whip. Rapier is 1.23 more damage than the whip. At best, turmoil boosts your attack by 30% At best, turmoil boosts your strength bt 33% Piety boosts attack by 20% Piety boosts strength by 23% So rapier with piety beats whip with turmoil by quite a lot, but that's before adding gear, which will halp the whip a little. Don't forget you also get Soulsplit with turmoil, which is simply amazing and possibly more useful than a rapier. You shhould still just get the rapier so you can be double awesome though. :P
  3. Yeah that is one of the killers of this method. If you happen to be at a mass, or there are 2+ maxed crashers that double spec making you effectively 6 hit the boss (Still kinda rare.) If there are two threatening crashers, the energy transferer should just attack minions, to save more boss hp for you, to help you get extra hits in. In my experience though, you'll still get 3 and often 4 specials in with two crashers, you only really have to worry about 3+ double speccers, or 4+ regular bando-ers. You actually hit considerabley higher in bandos+bgloves+nez than you do with void, with claws. Due to void being a % of current strength modifier, and claws have relativley low strength.
  4. This method is to be used on a NONE LS world. Player two must trust player one to share any loots. Requirments for player one: High melee stats Dragon claws Good offensive armour Special restore potions Extremes or overloads very much recommended, not essential. Turmoil very much recommended, not essential. Unicorn would be useful. Requirments for player two: High defense Lunar magicks 91+ magic Good tanking armour Special restore potions Soulsplit would be extremely useful. Unicorn would be very useful. Inventory setup for player one: Hammer 40 doses of special restore potions 12 doses of overloads, or 12 doses of each extreme/super Primary weapon, preferably chaotic maul. If overloads, lots of brews and super restore potions. If extreme/supers, 12 doses of brew, 12 doses of super restore, lots of rocktails. (Bring some extra prayer potions) Best BoB you can use full of brews or rocktails. Inventory setup for player two: Hammer 40 doses of special restore potions 12 doses of overloads (If you do not have overloads, ignore this part.) 300+ astral runes 200+ law runes 100+ nature runes All brews and super restore potions. Best BoB you can use full of brews. The method: Player two will tank the boss as he spawns. Player one will run up and use two dragon claw specials. Player two will use the lunar spell 'Energy transfer' on player one and immediatley drink a special restore potion. Player one will use another 2 claw specials on the boss and immediatley drink a special restore potion. Both players will finish the kill with their standard weapons, drinking special restore potions whenever possible. Even on a high pop world, you will both have 100 special points by the next spawn. Repeat. You're likely to be crashed on a high pop world almost constantly. This is great. Let the crasher tank for you, and use the method above. Your 4 claw attacks will almost always beat their 2, giving you the kill. If you're lucky, the crasher will tank several kills before giving up, saving you food and speeding up kills. What are the advantages of this method over normal duos in a lootshare world? First and foremost. You will not be crashed and you can crash anyone you want, even that maxed guy in the full pop world that would usually destroy you. Secondly, the offensive guy gets effigies and clue scrolls, and can use a RoW swap for better loot if they believe it's worth the inventory space. What are the disadvantages? Player two must trust player one with the drops. This isn't really an issue if you go with a trusted friend, but it prevents you from using any old random guy you just met in the GE. Energy transfer takes a little lifepoints every cast from player two. It isn't much, but it can eat into their food supply a little and result in a few less kills. (Soulsplitting the minons will easily heal this.) I've never wrote a guide for this forum before and i'm not really sure i like the run-on style of this one, i'll probably change it up a little tomorrow. I'll also record a few kills of this method in action and possibly add some pictures. I thought of this idea myself a few days ago but i DO NOT claim to be the first person to do it, i'm sure there have been many, i just havn't seen one yet. :P This guide is aimed at players that are not capable of soloing efficiently without being crashed. If you want to solo and keep all the loot to yourself, go ahead and do that. I'm very sorry if you happen to wander upon 2 noobs using this method and they steal all your kills. :)
  5. This sounds exactly like something jagex, the masters of marketing, would do. The only thing this will do is set a (probably way too high) price on gold for the RWTers, and then the RWTers will just sell it under jagex's price. Thankfully, as far as i can tell, not a lot of people actually RWT, not your average player at least. If every single person of a decent combat level suddenly gets torva over night i'll just quit and play a better game for the money. Boefore i get ahead of myself though, i don't actually expect them to be doing this. Especially as their post said they can stop reflection botting, which is a type of bot, which implies they're tackling bots head on and not throwing this out to 'stop bots'
  6. Huge support for the BoB filling, I've always hated having to withdraw items, half fill BoB, withdrawn items, fill BoB, withdraw items. It's just a waste of time and they already solved this issue for runecrafting pouches so theres no reason not to do this. My support again for the overload timer, i don't quite have them myself yet but i understand that you need to brew just before the 15 second hit, so this would be very useful. My only add-on to this is to make it optional, or hideable, as some players may not want to do the 15 second 'trick' and find it only gets in the way. Hotkeys are very useful... But that brings up the debate of 'skill'. Many players believe being able to eat, special, pot, turn off and on prayers at the right times is all part of the challenge. I feel the hardcore players that have spent a lot of time perfecting these would rant and rave about the game becoming easier more than ever. One suggestion i'd like to see is a 'Drop all' or 'Drop x'. It would still be slowed down to 2 items a tick, but it would be much less hassle for the player. That isn't skill, that's just repetitive and soul crushing. I love how you've created your own graphics for this to show your intentions, really is a step up from the usual 'I fink we shud have lazor guns and robot armoours, heres a pictur of my kat.' in the runescape suggestions area :D
  7. Rapier is almost essential for competitive bossing, or just bossing more effeciently in general. It's also about twice as good as a whip on metal dragons, especially miths. The difference is HUGE. Sure, whip will be fine for slayer, but rapier would be better. Stop being lazy and get one :P It's not difficult.
  8. Rapier. It's better against about 99% of runescape monsters (Graardor, Sara and a few quest bosses are all i can think of where CLS is better) BUT for all of those, the chaotic maul is best anyway. Plus rapier is by far the best for general training and slayer, and dragons, as they're weak to stab. I own all chaotics by the way, and regret CLS the most, so i'm not some biased guy with 1 chaotic like you see most of the time.
  9. Well i've heard you can get 120 kills an hour at miths with it. The loot you'll get, including the chance of a visage/dfh, would make it roughly 2m/hour money coming in. Now you'll likely be spending upto 3m/hour on the runes and ovls, but you'll also be getting really nice charms, effigies, elite clues... Debatable if it's 'worth it' Spending 1m/hour may not sound bad, but compare that to MAKING 1m/hour there using a rapier instead, with about 2/3rds the charms/effigies/clues. I don't believe it's more cost efficient anywhere in runescape other than some PVP, the price is just too much, and the only thing that has drops to justify being good enough, nex, has way too high magic defense.
  10. Add me to the pleasantly suprised group. Great video, really portrays my feelings towards these beggers and money addicts perfectly. Can i have 10k please?
  11. Just go with a high level friend and have them 45% kill it while you both attack, if he's done almost half the damage he will stop attacking but stick around the room so he tanks half the hits. Just Dmace special it during the melee part, and diamond bolt it during the range/mage part. Ask your high level friend to use special transfer on you, so you get 8 Dmace specials.
  12. I honestly believe the bots are going to be perfectly fine and then all of these failed merchers are going to sell their items back, making them crash even lower than before. So i'd advise just chilling unless you really believe the bots will be gone. At the time of this comment, it's already too late to make serious cash anyway.

Well the 2h is better DPS than a rune scim even on 0 defense, that's as far as i've looked into it. The 2h hits at battleaxe speed... So unless the longsword hits at scim speed, i can't see the long being anywhere near as good.
  14. At first i was like no i don't want to be stuck with 98 range if i don't have enough... Then i realised, 98 range is almost the same thing, lol. Yeah, i'll be just buying and using few 1000 a day and get it pretty soon. :)
  15. Thanks, Quyneax. Checking current prices and his numbers i've worked out that 80-99... Red chins = 20m in chins. 43k attacks. 35.8 hours perfection, probably more. Gray chins = 13.1m in chins. 57.3k attacks. 47.75 hours perfection, probably more. More GP needed for prayer/range potions. Perfection is if you never stop attacking, which isn't going to happen, maybe add 10% due to banking and imperfection... Slightly less than 7m worth 12 hours? Hmm. Not really. Not a terrible choice, though. But i doubt his numbers were for extremes and rigour...
  16. Planning on training range. I'm just curious what the average xp i'm going to get per chin, so i can estimate roughly how many i need. In maxed range gear with void and a deflector. Extreme range pots. Rigour. Just tell me the average at levels 80 85 90 95 And i'll work the rest out from there. (If you have results for different armour/potions/prayer, just tell me that, it will help a lot.) I plan on using red, but if normal is relatively close to red, i may save myself a few m... I plan on doing this at the zombie monkies under ape atol, that is the best place, right?
  17. I honestly wonder if these anti-capcha people are secretly scared botters. No. Bots can not solve capchas, that's the entire point of a capcha. (Advanced scanning software can crack some, but these are mostly children working with javascript. They will not crack an externally fed capcha in runescape.) And no, it's not a lot of effort for a legit player, the above i can excuse due to ignorance, but this point is rediculous. It takes 2-3 seconds to enter a capcha, maybe 3 attempts at most if you're dealt a hard to read one. A random event usually lasts over a minute. HOW ON EARTH is a capcha more inconvenient than the useless randoms we have now? Sorry this got off topic, but you guys really need to be more subtle with your bot defending. By the way, the orb's damage is a direct 100% recoil of your potential attack, but instead of taking your actual attack, you roll 2 dice for the attack. First one being your actual attack, second being the recoil. So you can possibly roll a 500 and hit the dragon, and then roll a 0 and take no recoil. Or the reverse.
  18. If you're making 3k of each extreme i'm guessing you're gonna be making most of them into overloads, you need them to be (3) for that anyway. Sucks for spec restores and overloads though lol. I like that 28 (3)s = 21 (4)s though, and not something horrible like if we had 27 spaces and it resulted in 20 (4) and 1(1)
  19. Dragon claws and your offensive gear. You do not need to worry about dieing as you can refill to full hp 5 times a wave (more than enough) Bring 2 extreme/super attack and strength. Food and prayer potions is not needed, but seeing as you have the space, bring a few of each just incase something dreadful happens. Make sure you bring a main weapon just incase you don't kill everything in 10 claw specs (Only really happens by 1-2 trolls in the later waves, no big deal.) I've never tried a summoning there, but if you're allowed one, i suppose a combat familar such as steel titan would be best.
  20. Ahh. And do range boosts, such as extreme ranging potion or prayers effect either of those 1.1s? If not, and we're rounding down, wouldn't 99 range be exactly 18% boost?
  21. I'm all for the frost dragon nerf, but why on earth did the multiply the amount of dragons by 10? The only thing from keeping an infinite amoutn of bones coming into the game was that the game physically couldn't spawn enough dragons for the bots to kill. (Yeah...) but now it can! Bone prices will probably be at an all time low after the bots are perfected (Seems like they're close already) and the bots will make much more money thanks to not having competition. Nice attempt jagex, i love that you're trying, but for the love of god, do not add MORE dragons into the game if the only thing holding back bots was the fact they're too crowded.
  22. This is the closest to an enjoyable 'Lets Play Runescape' you can get. I'm loving it so far, and may steal the idea one day!
  23. Do all bolt specials activate even if it was going to be a miss? Because if that's the case, it should be pretty easy to test as level, armour and enemy should be irrelevent. I'll try 500 bolts each of the more popular ones over the next few days, and then again after i do elite to compare the difference... Anyone wanna add their own results to the log?
  24. Just wondering what the % is that a bolt will be a special attack. For example a ruby/diamond/dragon bolt activating. And what is that % after completing elite seers task? Do you get the increased activation rate in PVP?
  25. Well i have Chaotic and Farseer (I don't know why, stop asking!) and i use them roughly never. D defender is better in most situations, if i need to tank in a small team, dfs will do nicely. If i really need to tank, ely or divine easily beat the CKS. By the way. The recharge cost is about 200-500 coins per hit you take. This adds up fast, making dfs a much cheaper alternative over a long period of time. Despite my choices, i think eagle eye would be the most useful shield to have. You should really just get rigour/maul/ccb though. I have not regretted any of those once (Well rigour a little, as i'm almost always on curses for soulsplit)
