  1. Some dude texted me and was like, "Hey, this is [so-and-so]'s friend." And I'm like, "Uh, I don't know a [so-and-so]." And then he kept trying to start up a conversation, and I was just like, "Leave me alone, I don't know you or your friend." That same thing has happened twice, and both people use the same [so-and-so].
  2. I think gamer should apply to anyone who plays a video game (whatever it is) relatively habitually. I think there just needs to be some distinction between those who aren't obsessed and those who are: perhaps 'hardcore' gamer does just that.

Just got back from a 20 minute run. D: Getting blisters already.
  4. Oh, I haven't been around this thread for most of it. My bad. :-| EDIT: After dozens of pages of dA [hide][/hide]
  5. The War -- Angels & Airwaves
  6. I don't like it when people 'sign' their posts. Person that comes to mind is D.V Devnull or whatever his name is. I've got nothing against him. I just find it so unnecessary. EDIT: Those who habitually do it. Not those who are looking for a big spanking by the mods. :P
  7. Should be in bed right now. Waking up in 6 hours for my morning run/workout. Stumbled upon some pictures of some extremely fit guys, and it made me even more determined to get into better shape.
  8. Sorry if she's a bit scantily clad. [hide] [/hide]
  9. Their entitled to some soaking up of the sun, too!

I'm not real good at giving strong advice for photography, but try to get some cool lighting in your pictures. The ones from the 6th are kinda dull cause there isn't much lighting variety. It'd make the pictures way cooler. I'm sure the people in the gallery are giving you way better advice. :P

Nice pictures, Rob. The sunset one is pretty good. Me and a friend were driving around and we saw this drunk dude walking all over the place. We drove past and then saw him get into this random truck that pulled up beside him. So I flipped a U-ey and we follow them to this trailer park, but didn't dare go in through the gate. Yah, we were being creepers, but hey, it could've been a murder waiting to happen.
  13. Hate is a word that's thrown about without much thought. I doubt he actually hates those people. He might dislike them for their habits (or their physique) but it's rare that someone actually hates something or someone.
  14. Forgetting Sarah Marshall. 3/5. Wasn't as funny as my friends made it out to be. Both main actresses were smoking, though. :P
  15. Super Smash Bros Melee was my all time favorite game on the Gamecube. I miss those all nighters with my friends.

You know better than to double post. :shame: :P

Yah, I was disappointed because I spent a lot of time thinking over that one, and was almost certain it was a unique thread that wasn't really covered in any of the other threads. Oh well. :P So, I think I got a sunburn on the scars on my back (from a longboarding accident). They've been bright red for two months, but haven't hurt. Then, this Saturday, when I re-gripped my board out in the sun, they started to hurt. I first jumped to the conclusion that they were infected, but now it seems more likely that they're just sun burnt.
  18. Those overweight and unhappy about it probably wouldn't admit it. What would they gain from it? And, I'll assume (though, last time I did, I was quickly lectured for it), most of the overweight players would spend their time playing the game, not hanging out in the Off-Topic section of these forums (it's been said many times, the majority of OT regulars are retired or semi-retired). It'd be stupid to say that all gamers are overweight. But it isn't completely idiotic to reason that many, if not the majority, are.
  19. It's so odd for me when I see a younger girl I went to middle school with (i.e. I was an 8th grader and she was a 3rd grader) beginning to go through that teenage phase with all the makeup and short skirts and glitter. I just remember girls like these dressed up in full school uniform, pants and a collared shirt that covered their whole shoulder, buttoned all the way up to the neck. It's hard for me to see them go from being so innocent to reflecting our changing societal norms.

A lot of the posts in the various threads often get off track from the topic of the thread, but no one really cares. At this point, the mods don't want new threads for things that have been talked about in the other threads (regardless if they pertain to that thread topic).

    Lmao!
  22. None of the girls I know play video games. :\ Kinda unfortunate. I am fortunate enough to have made friends with a few girls on Runescape who are pretty amazing.

I drink to get a good buzz. Cause that's when I have the most fun. Sometimes I overstep it a bit and start to feel kinda sick, so I stop until I get back to just that nice buzz. I've never blacked out and have only gotten really sick once. Not fun.
  24. I've read up to Eldest twice now, and I've stopped both times because I couldn't get my hands on a copy of Brisingr (no copies available at the library). Pretty annoying. Finished book 4 of the Harry Potter series. Was pretty darn good. Moving onto the 5th.
  25. I promised my parents [in 9th grade] that if they let me paint my room, I'd spend two years at a community college living at home before I actually went off to a college away from home. They're a bit clingy with us kids. I made the promise and painted my room... But I never went to a community college. But hey, I'm attending the college that they preferred me to go to.
