  1. Maybe cause most girls on Runescape are actually guys.
  2. I'm on loans and scholarship, so I only have to pay around $40 per semester for actual tuition (I do still have to pay off my loans eventually). I'm trying to reason and say that I'm going to be working the rest of my life after college, so why not have fun while I can. Plus, I'm TAing during the school year, which will get me around $1800 total. That'll make up for these next three weeks of work I'm not going to do. My internship was only for 10 weeks, so I really shouldn't feel bad, because I worked all 10 weeks. Alas, I do. :\ My friends worked less than I did this summer, so that makes me feel a little bit better.
  3. I'll be lucky if I make it to Brigadier before college starts. Me wants that Mjolnir Mk. VI helmet!
  4. Because I should be more concerned about making money than having fun with friends and goofing off, right? At least at this point in my life, where I'm paying off loans and everything.
  5. Black Spider - Mogwai
  6. The feeling of guilt you get when you're offered to work longer (i.e. up until school starts) and you say no because you just want some summer fun right before school starts. I had a long time basketball coach who works at my building call me and tell me he can switch my internships so that I can work for three more weeks. And I know that's around $1500, but honestly, I just don't want to anymore. I know dozens of people would kill for an internship where I'm at, but I'm dying here and I need a break before school starts.

College begins in three weeks for me as well. And I'm ready for it. Of course, it'll be my second year, so I already know what to expect, and I expect this year to be a lot more fun than last year (since I spent the whole first semester playing Runescape). But, I haven't organized or packed anything for it, yet. Three weeks is a long time, though.

That looks great for making pot pies. If I had one of those, I'd be baking those bad boys all summer. Mom bought bread. Now I can make sandwiches again.
  9. Same here. I just can't sleep with that feel of skin touching skin (my own skin touching my own skin). Also, I can't sleep with socks on. No can do. It makes me feel a hell of a lot hotter, and I can't be hot when I sleep.
  10. I used to be pretty addicted, and I had loads of friends/interesting people that I'd talk to all the time (so it wasn't just the content that I was addicted to). I ultimately found that letting my membership run out was a good way to start. When you have a ton of membership items but you can't use them, the game doesn't sound very appealing. You just have to find other things that will serve a greater purpose than Runescape. For me, I found that longboarding did the job. I also started reading a lot more. Eventually you lose the urge to play. It is tough at first, and you have to be determined to ignore the urge to play, but in the end, you'll have a new hobby to preoccupy yourself.
  11. Well yah, of course it's funny. I don't get mad at them or anything. Plus, it was a one day thing. They switched back to my other nick name. Does Shelby sound remotely like your real name?
  12. I haven't been there, either. I don't want to go at all, though. That kind of theme park stuff isn't appealing to me at all.
  13. Secret: I didn't know that my mother was bipolar until a few months ago. It's been 19 years. That explains a hell of a lot.
  14. What forums have you been reading? Oh, wrong forum. I meant the Falador Tavern. I'll be honest, I went there the other day (to find some more topics to post the heck out of; you know me) and I literally was so confused at what was going on. I couldn't follow a topic at all.

Pot pies for dinner tonight. I loooove pot pies.
  16. The first time I watched In Bruges, the last scene, I was like, 'Nah, that dude has kids and a wife. He won't shoot himself.' But then I was like, 'Damn, that man is a man of his word!' Planning on watching some Lord of the Rings Special Extended Edition this weekend, since I'll be done with work for the summer. Honestly, I can say that those are my favorite movies of all time. And if I watch one, I have to watch all of them. I get sucked into Tolkein's world and after watching all of them, I really don't want to leave and return to real life.

I used a messenger bag in my freshman year of high school. With all the textbooks I carried, I'm pretty sure it made my hip quite tender to the point at which it bugs me even today. I want an old school two-pocket Jansport backpack. Those things were the [cabbage]. Now, all the backpacks have like, 20 pockets and all this weird netting.

Sooo... Either you're saying it was awkward, or you're saying there was some activity between the three of you that prevented any sort of sleepover from happening. Which is it? I'm horrid and interpretting people. I actually think I was taught Grammar in middle school by one of Bing Crosby's immediate relatives. The word I'm unsure about is immediate. I know she's closely related, just not how close. Got back from lunch at Dairy Queen. Boy do I love dem blizzards :!:
  19. Makes perfect sense to me now. And I agree. And I really regret telling you about the Julie that is me. My friends thought that one was the funniest, but I forced them to go back to the previous one, which was actually a male name. You have no idea how many odd looks I got from people when I responded to Julie that day. @Crocefisso: Now now, I'm actually trying to slow it down a bit. I still look at the forums just as much, but I don't post as much (I'm trying not to). You can't blame me, though: friends are working, don't want to get addicted to RS, not feeling Halo: Reach or the xbox360 in general, already went outside. Plus, everyone here is so intellectually stimulating. :3 <3: On-Topic: I hate talking over people. I'll be in conversation, and if someone is starts talking loud enough near me, it'll completely throw me off and I'll have to really concentrate to start up again and ignore them.
  20. A college friend has that poster in his room. Quite funny.
  21. Gonna be honest, her breasts are too big for my liking... Don't judge!!!
  22. Yeah, that's why I was kinda reluctant to post it. Lock it if you judge it so.

Never thought of right clicking. Thanks Ouchy!
  24. Totally getting my own 22" [decent] TV. I know that nothing compared to other TVs people play their video games on, but this means I'll have my own to hook my XBOX360 to at school. And I'm expecting the picture to be better than my home TV. I'm thinking once the winter weather sets in up at college, I'll be playing a lot more Halo: Reach, since it'll suck being outside.
