You really don't mage that much? I would have thought even with a nerf to barrage that there would still be more mage tasks. I definitely think I find myself maging/ranging more than melee. Oh wait you has loldrygores. Grats on 79M Slayzorz.

... And where am I? At work, all freaking day, unable to join the "fun" of update day. I did read the entire discussion thread in General on my lunch break, nd frankly it sounds like maybe work is a good place to be. I haven't decided how I feel about being forced to choose a side. In the interest of balance, I may find myself spending time on either side of the fence. But in the end I feel I will find myself at odds ultimately with Sliske, as Guthix must yet be avenged. This may lead to some odd alliances. The enemy of my enemy is my friend?

... And here it is. Yes, I realize Dark Beasts are Range-weak. However, after skipping Grotworms and Aviansies, I was tired of getting range tasks when I was so close to my Magic level. So I said screw it and maged anyway.

Brink of Extinction for Fight Cauldron. Actually that's a really good method, and the quests to get it were pretty enjoyable. (And you get titles. Yay!). Obsidian shards make you armour that works awesome against tokhaar, so it makes it even easier. I dunno, jadinkos had just popped to mind because I like 'em. But I do mostly slayer, so I forget about other stuff sometimes.

Thanks for the clarification. My apologies for hijacking the thread. I just figured two threads about the same topic to be reundant.
-
I'm on my phone so if you have a Sig with levels in it I can't see it, but if you have the level, jadinkos are weak to slash I think. Lots of stackable drops too

What about for those of us who can't afford drygore yet? I hear it can be done with C Maul too. Can it be done with lower tier armor than POP? I'm still a ways off from either one...

Finished up a few more tasks including another round of ZGWD. It's starting to get easier and easier for me, even when three or four people came along to heckle me and call me a "Wellfair broke ass noob!!@!@!@!@@@@" even though I wear a Solomon outfit and they don't know what I actually have equipped. :P *Ahem* That's MISS Wellfair Broke Ass Noob to you! 29M Slayer and another Z Spear at the end of the task. Not bad. :D 27k to 99 Magic, but it looks like I won't have time to get that until sometime late tonight. Oh, I just noticed that I got 60M Def, too.

My recommendation? Slay on world 27, which is the Social Slayer world. Odds are good you may find more people willing to team up either at task, or at slayer masters. Pop in my clan chat sometime, if you'd like. Social slaying happens there sometimes too. I know a couple people are still looking to collect pets, myself included.

Crow's Goals and Accomplishments
Cerri replied to Canada Crow's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
I, of course, approve of any and all Slayer related goals. :) I have often said that when it comes to RS, I have the attention span of a 5 year old. I want to do everything at the same time and find it hard to stick with one thing. I wish you the best of luck in your goals. I rarely plug my clan, but if you ever want to chat with some Slayer-minded folks, feel free to drop by SGV1 -
I only asked because so many mentioned smelting gold already. Depends how fast/how much the OP wants to spend. That being said, clan citadel helps. :)
-
What about smelting gold and then making jewelry? Is that still a worthy alternative? That way the OP could get Smith and Craft.

The last few days have been kinda busy for me, but I did manage to hit a couple milestones along the way. Yes, I was Social Slaying when I did it, hence the half points. Also, after reading Poppe's blog and talking about how Fight Cauldron counts toward TzHaar tasks, I thought I'd get this out of the way. Which gave me this Not really doing anything exciting at the moment... I'm just slaying my butt off trying to reach 30M, and I'm sitting at around 500k to 99 Magic. I should definitely have that in the next couple of days.

I use Penance, Vampyrism and Equilibrium on a regular basis. Granted, I don't do a lot of PvM, mostly Slayer, which is where things like Equilibrium really shine. Looking forward to the revamp... they had long ago promised us bankspace buyable with Loyalty, which never came. I ended up getting the year membership and got mine space through runecoins, but hey...

IRLScape has been kicking my butt these past few days, but I've still managed to get some Scape in. Finished another greaters task. Honestly, as nice as it is, I'm starting to get burnt out from ZGWD and my supplies are getting low. I was planning on holding out until 30M to sell off my tab, but at this rate I might have to do it sooner. Here is hoping Kura gives me some other things to do for a while. But at least I was rewarded with a garb top. Can't complain there. That should pay for whatever I've spent in supplies up until now. And now just a short 1.2M from finally being maxed combat. Well, I guess not if you count Prayer. :\ I'm sure that will be next through bonecrushing someday.

I liked exploring, and back in the early days, it was getting to see and explore all of the map, that appealed to me. In the early days, it was fishing in Catherby. On my first account, I was essentially a skiller, the most combat I had done was maybe a few cows. And then one day I started training Slayer, and fell in love with it. It was fun and exciting and it was making me lots of loot! So when, after a long break, I made this new account in 2008, I knew already I intended to train Slayer, and I started pretty much from level 3 combat, which has been both a blessing and a curse. I'm not a big fan of being efficient; I'm not into PVP, and I've barely scratched the surface in PVM. I just do what I find to be fun, which for the most part is Slayer. :)
