gonna try slaying
I appreciate the concept of emergent gameplay and that the majority of Runescape players seek efficiency, which often means getting the most XP out of the time spent. Many also multitask with real-world activities whilst playing. I appreciate that some folks have put in time and effort to study and compare data on what methods are truly most efficient. However, I dislike the assumption that all players strive for that style of gameplay, and someone shouldn't feel barred from doing an activity if they don't already have the "best-in-slot" gear for that activity. We all gotta start somewhere.

The Second Thousand - A Noob's Journey (Less Than 80 Levels Left)
I like the fact that you shambled, and not merely walked. I sort of envisioned a somewhat zombie-like state. Or a Thriller dance. Gratz on the bonecrusher! I got one too and half the time I forget to bring it on tasks. But the promise of passive prayer XP is nice.

gonna try slaying
Royal Crossbow is equivalent to dual chaotics, and Enhanced Excalibur is better than an offhand chaotic. Yeah. I amend my statement to "Get t80 weapons or don't slay." *ahem* You should slay anyway. Even if you don't have drygores. Slayer is awesome. That being said, I am perfectly happy being an inefficient noob. Your mileage may vary.

[UPDATED] Grand Exchange Transaction App (Would you use?)
Looks like a cool idea, and something that WoW (which has quite a large community of Auction House goblins) has had for a couple years now. Can be very handy if you're really into maximizing your time spent buying and selling.

What makes your character unique?
I have a bank cashflow average of about 1-2m most of the time. I'm good at wasting what little gold I do get. :P I have 25m Slayer, and yet I have never finished most of the "necessary" quests, nor do I have any chaotics or use a cannon. I have leveled Herblore without buying a single herb, the vast majority of my XP coming from Farming, Slayer and my kingdom. And well, I am just full of awesome.

The Second Thousand - A Noob's Journey (Less Than 80 Levels Left)
You've really been cranking out those levels! Poison the way we used to know it pretty much went away with the rollout of EOC, and I'm fairly certain that the lack of poison in Pyramid Plunder was a happy byproduct of that. Good luck. you're in the home stretch now towards the 2K club. :)

200M Slayer? Piece of Cake! - I'm Baaaaaaaack!
Awesome! Over the past five years I've come to learn that everyone plays RS for different reasons, and everyone has their own goals, even if they look like they are the same goals. I'm glad you have found my journey as fun as I do! Well, it's the weekend, so it's time for IRLScape for me. Catch y'all on the flip side! And while I haven't been updating properly, I am up to about 55k tokens! Getting a chaotic is starting to not seem so far away. Also, I've gained a woodcutting level and am on the verge of getting a level each in mining and fishing. Good way to use up some pendants that were lying about. in POP news, I finally got to Bowl! I thought Scythe would never end. And wouldn't you know it, my first mission was to unlock Judge of Dice. :D Scrolls-wise, I now have Tetsu top/legs, Death Lotus top/legs, Rocktail Soup, and am 3/4 through Seasinger top. Though, gathering enough materials seems to be quite a daunting task. x_x

Or get a Dragon Keepsake key and it is then permanently attached =3 That's brilliant. I <3 you. I look awesome now :D

They are now, but for a long time they were not, and every Slayer worth his salt had one. Except me. My Slayer cape is permanently attached to my shoulders except for dungeoneering.

200M Slayer? Piece of Cake! - I'm Baaaaaaaack!
I've read guides, watched videos, asked my guildmates and read through advice here on TIF, but I just seem to fail. This is nothing new to me. I've never had a fire cape, either.

What are you listening to right now!?
Volbeat's new album "Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies" which is totally awesome!

I tried that. After quite a number of attempts to get to the last stage to forge my xbow, I gave up. Cerri is not meant to PvM.

200M Slayer? Piece of Cake! - I'm Baaaaaaaack!
I already have a bonecrusher, and the other three are on my list of goodies to get. Yeah loldrygore is right. I am superbroke, so that won't be happening. So now I'm real confused. Everyone has differing opinions! CLS might be a good option. Right now my go-to Slash option is vine whip + eee. Things have changed a bit since EOC was released, is dual wield preferred over 2H methods? I contemplated an SGS, in part because 1) I thought 2H was supposed to be better, and 2) I've always wanted one since I started playing and could never afford it. As far as more slayer creatures being weak to slash, that may not be true. Of the tasks that I do, there are more that are stab-weak. Currently my stab setup is Korasi + EEE, for lack of a better stabby offhand. OK, maybe that's the better way to look at it. Here are my setups per style: Melee: Stab - Korasi + EEE Slash - Vine Whip + EEE Crush - D Mace + EEE (I thought I had an offhand D Mace, but apparently not) Ranged: Thrown - Don't really use it. I use bolts on abby specs and they do fine, and I use the polearm on Vyrewatch and it works well enough. Bolts - Black Sally :D No really, it works pretty good. Arrows - Crystal Bow Magic: I have a Master Wand, and a Zammy Book, but I usually end up using SOL or Poly staff. I really don't know how long my enthusiasm for DG will last, so I'm not gonna bank on getting multiple chaotics right away. So I guess what I am looking for now is what is really the biggest priority?

200M Slayer? Piece of Cake! - I'm Baaaaaaaack!
I was always under the impression that abilities = faster kills. So rapier and offhand rapier is what I should aim for?

200M Slayer? Piece of Cake! - I'm Baaaaaaaack!
So I guess I'll shoot for the high goal first, since I'm at 77 DG now and 80 is not far away. I am also interested in a demonhorn necklace, but that requires 90, which will take longer. For the most part since DG came out, the rapier has been the primary chaotic of choice for Slaying, but I am seeing that it is much less useful since EOC. From what I'm hearing from others, the maul looks like it may be a better choice. Should I get that then? Is there a better option for a first chaotic?

200M Slayer? Piece of Cake! - I'm Baaaaaaaack!
Been a few days since I've updated, though I've not necessarily been away from RS. I don't know what possessed me to do it, but I have a confession to make: >.> <.< ... I've been Dungeoneering. yes, you heard me. That stupid minigame skill that I swore I would never get into a serious way? Yeah. I've been there. Solo XP is no longer the terrible terrible grind it was before. Sinkholes make it even more enticing. And now the list of gadgets I want with my tokens is getting ever longer. Do I think I'm gonna grind out a 99 or anything just yet? Probably not. But I'll go with it while I'm inspired to do so. I haven't taken any screenies, which I should have, but I've gained 73-77 DG in the past couple of days. I've got one more floor to go through before I can reset with 39 prestige. The increases in XP make soloing more enticing too. Now I just gotta work on my gating and keying so I can get down from a solo med avg. of 25 mins.

Pyramid Plunder Boosts
I feel your pain. I cried when I finally hit 91. I never thought I'd see the inside of the last room. I pretty much used all my prismatic pendants and recharge gems on Thieving to get through the 80s levels.
