  1. If anyone finds a doomcore staff on the beta server, please let me know if it's a 1 handed staff or a 2 handed staff.

  3. Pretty much, yeah. Chaotic staff and polypore staff share the same hit bonus, but the polypore staff has a 5 Prayer bonus and it doesn't degrade.
  4. I was dealing 2,600 damage with a staff and divine storm on auto-cast, so I think that's pretty good.

  6. Dungeoneering is very interesting now. It may be best to just stick to one combat class now, since all three styles hit well on all monsters. I just went for a CCS, SSH and celestial robe top. I kind of want to drop my SSH for celestial robe bottoms.

  8. Chaotic staff is still useless, though. Polypore staff has the same hit bonus (800) and has 5 Prayer bonus. Also, the chaotic staff degrades. Asphyxiate is capped at 5,000. Most damage I've done with the ability in total has been around 17k haha
  9. Magic potions seem to boost damage by 29 per level now. The damage boost isn't capped at level 106 anymore, either. Staves get a 225% damage boost over wands on monsters. 50% on players. Staves now boost your damage with abilities. Divine Storm is the most powerful spell in terms of damage per hit. I've hit 2635 with it, and that was without Torment. Wave spells deal more damage than Surge spells. Barrage spells deal a lot less damage. 1644 max. This is fair, in my opinion, because it's an AoE spell. I don't know about Burst spells. Gale Blitz does the most damage out of the Blitz spells for some reason. Now imagine Divine Storm, under metamorphosis form, using Asphyxiate. Lol. I'll try it out later on, on a boss.

  13. Went to Kree'arra using Magic. It was way too easy. I didn't have to use Deflect Ranged, even though I was wearing robes. I was just Soul Splitting any lost health back. Kills took around 82 seconds each. Was without a steel titan. K'ril kills took around 60 seconds each, with a steel titan and mage.
  14. Still think it's stupid that those who can only play the beta on the weekend have no way of providing any feedback on the RSOF.
  15. Is that based on each spell doing 'x' amount of damage or do 0s add adrenaline too? Each spell has to hit something. 0's or splashes don't count. Went to kill Jad. He's still just as easy as he is in the current live game. Just get him down to half health, then use Asphyxiate and Wild Magic to finish him off before the healers can even reach him.
  16. Takes 50 successful casts to fill your adrenaline bar to full without using any abilities.
  17. What does crit do? Does it increase your chance to hit your max? With my ASN, seers' (i) and God cape I have a 10.4% crit bonus. There should be more combo's for Magic. Impact, followed up by Torture is a good example. An idea is to use Combust on an enemy, and if you use Chain while Combust is active, Chain would spread Combust over any target it hits. Things like that could make for some cool combo abilities and make Magic more interesting.

  19. Metamorphosis is so buggy. With Fire Surge my damage boost is more than 50%, but with Ice barrage it's only 25%. ???
  20. I've actually found Ranged to be very underwhelming. I've fought a ton of rangers as a mage and I always win from them. I guess it really depends on how good you are with your abilities. Meatmorphosis still only increases your damage by 25%. At least for normal hits. I thought they increased it to 50%.
  21. Bosses are immune to stun but not to holding spells like Entangle. You can bind them for 40 seconds in place which is awesome. Asphyxiate + metamorphosis is overpowered... hits for more than 2,500 damage every 2 seconds. If you're maging a boss, make you sure you start the off in meta form whilst all your abilities are off cooldown. If a boss is very low on health, don't use any ultimate abilities and keep your adrenaline at full. Use preparation on cooldown so you don't leave combat and thus don't lose any adrenaline.
  22. No, they're the same when it comes to damage output. If you're maging for less than 5 minutes, your Magic will be at 111, meaning you still get the 21% bonus. You'll probably lose out on some accuracy though, because overloads boost your Magic back every time.
  23. Overloads still give a 21% boost to your Magic damage. 513 max increases to 620 with Ice Blitz, using a staff. Rofl... even with a wolpertinger, which only boosts your Magic by 7 levels, I can still hit 620 with a staff. Level boosts for Magic work in the EXACT same way as they do right now in the live game: capped at 21%, increasing by 3% per level. What the hell Jagex, I was hoping you would have balanced this out. With an extreme magic potion, if it drops below 116, you still get the 21% boost. As long as your Magic is boosted at 105 or higher your damage will be capped. You won't lose any damage if your level drops from 116 to 105. Nice balancing Jagex...
