  1. Void Magic gives a 10% damage boost. Overcharge gives a +15% boost, Augury +20% and Torment +25%. Prayers for Melee and Ranged are still a mystery to me. So are potions. And they need to fix spell damage with auto-attacks. And spell damage with abilities.
  2. They didn't do a good job at balancing out ability damage with different weapons. Right now, if you use a weapon that has the fastest attack speed, you will deal normal damage with abilities. If you use a fast weapon, your damage with abilities will be reduced by 20% and if you use an average speed weapon, your damage with abilities will be reduced by around 33%. After maxing a couple of times with different weapons with Punish (100% weapon damage ability), these were the results: Bronze dagger (fastest): 146 Bronze longsword (fast): 128 Bronze 2h sword (average): 140 So, until they fix this, it's best to use a weapon that has the fastest attack speed.
  3. Abilties have a 1.2 second GCD, not 1.8. I tried to do some testing on prayers myself, but since I'm F2P at the moment, I can only test one tier of boosting prayers. Anyway, the Magic prayer, Overcharge, gives a 15% boost. It simply multiplies your max hit by 1.15%. Melee and Ranged prayers seem to work in a different way. They give a 11 - 12% boost. They're calculated in a different way than Overcharge is. Also, I tried to max with abilities that hit for 100% weapon damage. Gravite 2h sword: 1256 weapon damage, average speed the Punish ability hit the dummy for 893 damage max. Gravite longsword: 673 weapon damage, fast speed, the Punish ability hit for 616 damage max. Rune dagger: 480 weapon damage, fastest speed, the Punish ability hit for 578 max. It seems that for Melee and Ranged, abilities are based on your weapon damage + your Strength/Ranged level. You do 100% damage with weapons that are fastest speed, 80% for weapons that are fast speed and 66% with weapons that are average speed. And spell damage is bugged right now, I'm sure of it. Using Air Strike, my max hit was 147, according to the Combat Stats interface, but I was hitting for exactly double of that on the dummies in Lumbridge. And, using Chain, which does 100% active spell damage, I hit for 192 max. So something's not quite right there, lol.
  4. I'm pretty sure that if you trigger a critical hit while using an ability, it'll hit your max with that ability, because all of my critical hits from abilities have been the same.
  5. I'm so confused right now... Max hit with Slice (125% weapon damage), with my gravite longsword (673 weapon damage) = 770. Max hit with Slice, but with with my gravite 2h sword (1256 weapon damage) = 1116. Max hit with Piercing Shot (125% weapon damage) with my gravite shortbow and rune arrows (1089 damage weapon damage) = 1088. Max hit with Ricochet (100% weapon damage) with my gravite shortbow and rune arrows (1089 weapon damage) = 870. How does this make any sense?
  6. That's because runite is tier 50 and royal xbow is tier 80, so you *should* be expecting a 1.6x increase in XP rates lol. I'm pretty convinced that dual wielding is a better choice than 2h for momentum on slayer tasks, since there's much less overkill loss to be had. Only issue might be transitioning from monster to monster. Critical hits are 50% more damage for autoattacks, but when they trigger on abilities they just hit the ability's maximum hit. Finally, I believe autoattacks from staves hit 2.25x as much as those cast from a wand, not 2x. I think spell damage is bugged... again. I'm hitting 513 with Wind strike with a staff and the interface is saying my max is 147. And I was hitting 1,772 with Fire Blast, lol. And they weren't critical hits. When you've got an autocast spell set the interface only shows the base spell damage, I believe. This doesn't take into account the base damage of your magic level or the damage boost from staves/damage penalty from dual wielding. No, it shows the base spell damage + passive damage from your level (1 damage per level). I posted a list of all the base damage of spells a while ago, on the beta thread. Staves are supposed to give a 225% damage increase, so I should be hitting 330, not 513. I'm doing 350% spell damage right now... Lol.

  8. I thought the same applied to Melee and Ranged as well.
  9. Blue dragonhide is the best armor, yeah, and a gravite shortbow is the best weapon for F2P.
  10. Yeah, all abilities have a 1.8 second GCD, I think. Sagaie: 1072 damage, 3.6 interval = 297,77 DPS. Bliserwood stake: 672 damage, 2.4 interval = 280 DPS.
  11. I get a 8% hit bonus penalty if I wear a range top or bottom, and 15% if I wear a platebody or platelegs if I have a staff equipped.
  12. Does anyone remember Mendark 9? :P
  13. Has anyone else noticed that you sometimes automatically use abilities like Dismember with Momentum on? What happened to the virtus wand + book?
  14. Yes, stunning your opponent, then smacking him with a 6 second DoT, jumping back with that range ability, while hitting him with something which does more damage to stunned opponents, while activating that ability which heals you for each hit he does in a 10 second period, is totally mindless button smashing. Sorry if your style of game play is button-mashing. It must suck for you. I play WoW. A game that's anything but button mashing. If you enjoy the EoC, then good for you. I loathe it.
  15. Well, I have given it another try, and it's still just as messy and clunky as it was when it was first put in beta. Often abilities won't even activate if you click them. Abilities don't enhance combat at all, it just forces more unneeded activity on us. Abilities don't connect with each other in any way. It's just mindless button mashing until something dies. I can close my eyes, and mash the buttons and still be just as effective in combat. The idea was good, but it was implemented so poorly. I know I won't be playing this a lot.
  16. They didn't change potions and prayers, did they?
  17. Did they nerf the ability damage you deal with a staff? I heard it now does the same damage as a wand + shield and dual wielding.
  18. Haha, the first clip made me laugh pretty hard. It sums up the EoC pretty well.
  19. No, they fixed that a while ago.
  20. Dual wielding and two-handed swords have the same accuracy and the same DPS, so they're no different :P
  21. Does anyone know by now what prayers like Turmoil do? And how much damage is a critical hit?
  22. I hope they know what they're doing...
  23. Did they restat all weapons, ammo and spells?
  24. Well, appearently they don't think there's ability mashing in PvE. lolwat
  25. Live official Q&A on the EoC happening right now:
