  1. Rune javelins and a chaotic crossbow with runite bolts have the same DPS. 791 damage with a 3.6 interval = 219,72 DPS. 527 damage with a 2.4 interval = 219,58 DPS. And the chaotic crossbow has 300 more hit bonus.

  3. I'm still getting random critical hits with Torment, even if I'm just using a wand.
  4. I did. I tested it with Air Strike, at level 1 Magic, dual casting. Air Stike does 52 spell damage at level 1, but because I was dual casting, which does 75% spell damage, my max hit without Torment was 39. I noticed that with Torment on, some of my hits would appear as critical hits, as if I was wearing a piece of jewelry with a critical hit bonus on it. The highest hit I saw was 48. Then I tested it with all of my jewelry on, also with Torment active, and the highest hit I saw was 50. I'm confused, lol.

  8. You're asking for advice on which weapon would be the most effective against a mage? Well, mages are pretty unstoppable in the live game right now, so it's very difficult to kill one. I guess a chaotic crossbow would be the most effective. Melee doesn't really stand a chance against a mage.
  9. Okay, cool. So dual casting and staves deal 25% more DPS than Melee and Ranged do. I wonder if that's intentional.
  10. Are you positive that dual casting has an interval of 1.2, and not 1.8? I could have sworn it was 1.8 when I tested it.
  11. To make potions and prayers more useful, they could lower weapon damage, and increase the damage you get from your Strength/Ranged/Magic level. Just like they did with life points. Is it too late to submit questions? If not, can you add this one to the list?
  12. They need to lower the damage boost that staves give. Staves deal 225% spell damage right now. Just compare the damage to that of a chaotic maul: Polypore Strike does 862 damage at level 99. Equip your polypore staff and it's damage is increased to 1939. Attack speed of 3.6 means 538,61 DPS. A chaotic maul does 1757 damage at level 99. Attack speed of 3.6 as well, meaning it does 488,05 DPS. They should lower the damage boost that staves give by 25% to balance it out. I have limited beta access, so can anyone check for me how much damage dual casting does? Is it 100% damage with a 1.8 attack speed?
  13. I have a couple of questions for the live stream: Will something be done about the ability mashing for PvM? There is no rotation or priority system of any sort. You just use whatever ability is off cooldown. Can you take another look at the damage rates of weapons and spells? There is still quite a bit of imbalance. For example, dual casting does a lot less DPS than a staff. I think the difference is around 100%. It's pretty big. Right now, potions and prayers make up for around 1% of our total damage in the EoC beta. They aren't worth using, really. A suggestion: make potions and prayers affect your level and weapon damage. Can you increase the life points of monsters? I was doing a Slayer task a while ago, and I was one hitting nechryaels with Magic.
  14. Oh, right. And yeah, they should do that. They should change the boost you get from potions as well.
  15. Well, if it's true that Turmoil gives a 15% boost, that would mean it only gives a 15 damage boost. Considering you'll be hitting for more than 1,500 with auto attacks, Turmoil would only be a 1% damage increase. :S Hardly worth it if you ask me.
  16. So Turmoil and Anguish boost damage by 15 and Torment by 30? What about Piety, Rigour and Augury?

  18. Importantly, what does this mean for Divine Storm/SoA? Divine Storm is inferior to Air Wave. SoA is inferior to Polypore Strike. But SoA still does the most damage if you use the ABS for the 10% damage increase. How does the DPS compare between SoA with the Armadyl Battlestaff and SoA with the Virtus wand and book? Using a staff would be 110% more damage. Dual casting sucks, right now.

  20. Looks like they changed spell damage scaling. Spell damage now increases by two every level, and low level spells no longer deal more damage than high level spells. Good.
  21. Few people have told me blitz is better, dunno why, but I barrage anyway. :lol: Was doing it with Barrages anyway, person I was fighting was using blitzes, but only 75 def and 99hp/mage. It becomes easier to switch if both people Miasmic'd though. I've heard of the theory before that lower level spells are more accurate, but when I tested this with Wind Strike and Fire Surge, both spells had the exact same accuracy.
  22. Why Miasmic Blitz instead of Miasmic Barrage? 40 more damage and Blitz spells aren't more accurate than Barrage spells.
  23. SoA min hit is 242 and max hit is 511. 313 DPS. Anyway, I was bored so I went to dagannoth sentinels for a while to test Melee and polypore w/ the new robes. Sample size was 750 hits each. Melee did 334,210 damage per hour and Magic did 338,920. Pretty surprising outcome, in my opinion. Sure, the sample size isn't very big and dagannoth sentinels probably don't have the same stab defence and mage defence, but whatever.
  24. New max for Melee with chaotic rapier + dragon defender (off task) is 613. New max with polypore is 580. 193 DPS for mage and 255 DPS for melee. Mage still does around 25% less DPS, but it's more accurate and can attack from a distance. I guess it evens out in the end.
