I wonder what will happen to Storm of Armadyl is most of your damage comes from abilities.

The amount of damage you hit is random :P Vulnerability doesn't have an affect on what damage you deal. It does make you hit more accurate though.

Yeah, all the bosses/monsters that are worth killing have a range and mage level.

Kree's mage attack is so weird!! I went back to Armadyl GWD with virtus and a ganodermic poncho and her mage attack missed a lot. But it missed a ton on my torva as well. I'm so confused about her mage attack. Anyway, I'm stoked for the combat rework. They're adding a mage and range turmoil which you unlock at 95 Prayer. They're also rebalancing potions so mage and range get the same boost that you get from melee potions. They're also making mage tanks a lot more powerful. They say a mage tank will be the most effective way of dealing with a melee bosses like Graardor. Exiting stuff.

This probably. Dag sentinels don't have a lot of defence but I'm sure the defence lowering helps in the long run. Decided to try the royal crossbow at Jad. Fight took 1 min and 10 secs ignoring the healers. Caves took a bit less than 45 min in total, I used a CCB with dragon (e) bolts for everything but Jad and dreadnips on the 360s. Went back to dagannoth sentinels, this time with the Royal Crossbow, void and Rigour. Was getting 151,548 xp/h.

Don't know, haven't tested void. I don't think it affects the royal crossbow, because I believe the hits are capped. I'll test that later. No, the multicombat special doesn't give xp.

I noticed Entangle only requires 3 nature runes in the preview. Are they lowering the rune usage of spells to make it more cost efficient?

Royal crossbow with Leech Ranged and Leech Defence and pernix: 133,192 xp/h. Royal crossbow with Rigour and pernix: 130,964 xp/h. Polypore with Leech Magic: 61,776 xp/h (123,552 xp/h if you compare it to the xp per damage melee and range get). Goliath gloves: 149,720 xp/h. Worth noting that the dagannoth I was attacking died for some reason around 20 secs before my last overload dose ran out so you can get more xp. Chaotic rapier: 152,116 xp/h. Abyssal vine whip: 134,028 xp/h on accurate stance.

Client. I'm reading that a lot of other players are having the same problem on the Tech Support forum. They say it has to do with a high input and very low output or something, which thus results in big delays appearently. Edit: changing to a German world fixed the issue. Weird.

I'm lagging a lot lately. Often when I click somewhere my character won't perform the action for a couple of seconds - it'll just stand there but I can see everyone else around me moving just fine. Prayer flashing has become very difficult and everything is taking longer to respond. I can't even walk in a line without my character stopping every couple of steps. Even when I'm in a world with 25 ping. At first I thought it was my internet, but a couple of clan mates are telling me they're having the same problem. Is anyone else having this problem as of lately?

They're still very useful on QBD, GWD bosses, Corporeal beast etc.

Dreadnips don't hit through a td's melee prayer. It also activates the melee prayer if it does more than 305 damage. Dreadnips don't work on glacors anymore.

I went to those dagannoth sentinels in the Dominion Tower to test the DPS of the royal crossbow. I was wearing pernix, using overloads and Rigour. I was getting 130,964 xp/h with the royal crossbow and 92,352 xp/h with a chaotic crossbow with runite bolts. Lol that's a big difference. Sample size was an hour of combat for each set up. Yeah, Magic does pretty well on Zilyana. I have recorded a couple of our kills which I can upload later I guess. Melee is still faster than mage right now because SoA isn't worth it on bosses right now with leech curses being broken. Royal crossbow is probably faster than polypore as well.

Well that's not a lot of new content, lol Anyway, I'm guessing we'll be seeing a lot of mages in virtus/gano with SoA in the new BH place.

Went with Muggiwplhar (I__Am_Rak__I) to Saradomin GWD with mage and melee. I was tanking in torva using my CLS and a divine and Muggi was using polypore with virtus and an arcane shield. He was using leech magic and leech defence. He did surprisingly well. His accuracy was about the same as mine from what I could tell. I reckon that once leeches work with SoA again it can beat melee. And polypore is still faster than range on Kree'arra, even with the new royal crossbow. By the way, did you know glacors have 200 Magic levels? :D

SoA is better than range, that's for sure. It's just that leeches are broken for mage spells right now so your accuracy is kind of low seeing as Jad is assumed to have 640 Magic levels... but it still beats range by a milestone.

It does well when soloing GWD bosses. I wouldn't use a royal crossbow if you're duoing because the boss dies too fast before the crossbow reaches it's full potential. Although polypore is still more damage than range on Kree'arra... It does terrible against the corporeal beast. I've tried it myself in full pernix, glaiven, swift gloves, imbuned rings and the such and it's terrible. Inaccurate and the damage is still halved. It does great against Nex. I'm sure it'll be a must have soon. Although Nex heals herself from the extra crossbow hits during her Blood Siphon phase, so it may be best to use a chaotic crossbow during her blood form.
