  1. Jagex heavily tracks data, which is how they can (claim to) track gold as it funnels through several mule accounts and eventually to the seller and then the buyer. I'm sure they could set up an algorithm to send up a flag when player A trades player B a heavy amount of stuff in one game and then Player B does the same in the other. Then again, Jagex has always been kinda soft on trust trades. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAaaaaaaa..... No. The notion that jagex heavily tracks how gold funnels is priceless. They really don't. And I think we all know they don't. Because if they did, RWT wouldn't be as popular as it is. Players would think, wow i'm just going to get banned if I buy all this gold. And realize their buying it is pointless. But as many hosts as there is, we both know, between me and you, the notion that jagex watches this, is priceless.

Uninstall windows 98. Install a light weight version of Ubuntu/Mint. Or if you know your way around linux, slackware. Get java on it. Then play runescape. Though you'll probably lagg like holy balls. So another suggestion. ==BUY A NEW FREAKING COMPUTER==
  3. "as long as all viable moneymaking methods will require 95/+ prayer." Since I can think of 3-4 off the top of my head that don't require 95+ prayer, and make about a mil/hr(only including combat orientated methods) which I would personally conclude as "viable" does that mean bones will drop according to your logic? And just to be, well me. Corp/Nex/KK None of these ==require== 95+ prayer unless you're solo'ing them. 1 of which is virtually impossible to solo. And solo'ing bosses like Nex/Corp isn't good money. Piety does perfectly fine at Nex and KK turmoil isn't required, and neither is soul split. Helpful? Sure. Required? Not so much. And corp? The only thing you need to do corp with is prot magic, a zspear, and full void.
  4. P.P.P.S It seems to me from what i'm hearing about your trouble with souls, that you need to practice stepping them. When the four souls comes out, it is a rare occurrence that I take damage then, as when I step diagonally, all of their attacks slap into 1 of the souls. You should NEVER, turn your attention to the souls UNLESS they're using that time stop attack. You should always kill them with their own attacks. Whatever guide told you to do that, they were an idiot. It takes a bit of practice to step into the souls when they attack, and it takes that practice regardless of whether you use ranged, magic, or melee. Lets also note, that using the C'bow is virtually the equivalent to using the rapier at QBD. Both have low DPS in comparison to their 2handed brothers. A royal c'bow out dps's a single choatic c'bow any day of the week. Meanwhile dual chaotic c'bow is slightly more dps than royal but far more expensive to use.
  5. Yeah, a couple of monsters and dungeons where the actual action is. In a game this large and still expanding... Jagex made Gano's aggressive and that didn't turn out very well tbh. The new combat system doesn't compensate for fighting multiple monsters at once very well. If the mob is extremely accurate, it's going to kill you. There's still mobs you can afk on. Things in the chaos tunnels for instance. It's just better exp to actually use skills and actively kill the mobs.
  6. Honestly the rage quits were bound to happen. If it isn't eoc, it's boredom. And those kids joining the game, saying they don't understand why people play this, and that it's boring. That's always existed. It's not because of the EoC. Runescape has ===always been=== that game in which people make fun of its players for even being arsed to play it. Few people can sit here and casually and truly, enjoy fishing in the game. People keep wanting to go backwards in this game, because it was soooo much "better". It wasn't. What was better, is that we actually had the time to waste on this game. We had more freetime than we knew what to do with, and runescape said here, come blow it all on me. With a seemingly endless amount of content. But it isn't endless. And our freetime isn't endless. As we grew older our freetime shrank. As we grew older the things we had left to do in the game shrank as well. The EoC is just a scapegoat for many. A scapegoat to say, I didn't outgrow the game, the game simply became crap. No. You outgrew the game. I feel for those with nostalgia glasses on. As I've already had to deal with some of my closest friends having their rose tinted goggles smashed by the ultimate reality of, restarting a game from the past, doesn't give you the time and energy to play it that you had in the past. And that the game, the game truly wasn't better back then. What happened, is that Jagex continually listened to their community, and are still listening to their community. We simply can't accept that it's not the game that's wrong, it's us. I have always replied to the age old question "Is the customer always right", with a firm "No, the customer is very rarely right. But we have to treat them as if they are.". Which holds true, even to this situation.

The worst thing about all the batwing users in the wild, is that they complain about getting destroyed, when it costs more to kill them than you actually earn yourself from killing them. I'm happy with the exponential curve change, because that armor used to have ridiculous stats for its level and cost. It still has fairly high stats considering its cost but no where near what it used to be. Same idea as me using sagaie's + royal Dhide in the wild when the demon's flash mob spawns. It's not worth it to pk me like that. I'll just waste your food, you'll kill me, and i'll be back 20 seconds later having only spent about 40k on my gear if that. People eventually just give up trying to kill me, or I end up forcing them to teletab after 3 lives. Because idc what armor you're wearing, sagaies hit like champions.
  8. To be perfectly honest. no. QBD gets significantly easier when you have super anti-fires + cmaul. Which is where the 2-3m rates are coming from. It's still absolutely possible for you to do it as a money making method, it's just going to consume far more effort. Not only are you going to have to time the souls attacks but you'll have to deal with shield and wep swaps(because lets face it, 1 handed weapons are a bit weak atm). Honestly, I think you'd be better off solo'ing arma/sara. Or grouping for Nex/KK/Corp. Nex/KK essentially require chaotics(possibly void req for nex), and corp requires a zspear + void.

Your magic can't hit 1k? Idk what your problem is then. I hit pretty consistent 1-2k's with magic's abilities. Ranged? Same thing. Also, maul hitting constant 4k's with every ability. You're over exaggerating. Outside of beserk + assault stacking at bosses, I very rarely see maul hit 4k+. And the thing is ===It doesn't do that damage in pvp===. You have more armor than bosses, or at least I hope you do as a mage, than bosses do. I agree melee is still clearly stronger than the other parts of the combat triangle. I disagree with the notion that it's more unbalanced than before. You couldn't use ranged outside of anti-rushing/rushing with dbow(Which was clearly inferior to claws), and armadyl. And you couldn't use magic outside of PvM(non-boss)/Soul Wars because Gano can only carry you so far. Meanwhile both are significantly more useful for bossing now, more especially ranged which imho is extremely under valued at bosses like Nex. And PvP wise? If people would stop pretending "hybridding is dead" and actually use decent mage armor(Not that batmage crap) against a melee user, they'd realize hybridding is clearly not dead. It is sooo much harder to damage someone in gano. Which used to be what every mage wore to the wild. Now? All you see is noobs in batwing. What happened to gano? Who knows. Yeah, bring batwing while the melee guy is in full bandos with a cmaul. You're in gear that's well below his, and then complain "melees over powered". No, what's over powered is your crap gear.
  10. right now, i've worked it out to be about an estimate of 48m if i tried buying the d bones at 2.4k ea and that is 20k d bones which will all be used in a gilded alter, i know it will take forever but if it saves a shitload of money its worth it. :L That would depend on how valuable your time was as to if it's saving money. QBD for instance is 2-3m/hr. Lets say it takes 30hours with Dbones, lets say frosties are 1/3rd of that for the sake of argument. So with frosties that's 10 hours. You're saving 20 hours. Spend those 20hours at QBD and you should make 40-60m. Lets say Dbones cost 48m and frost dbones cost 110m. 110 - 48 = 62. So depending on how well QBD goes, using frost bones the amount truly lost is 2-20m. Modify things for more accurate values, and for your income amount, and you can more accurately determine how much would be lost for you using frost dragon bones. Just a question, are you able to do qbd? cause your stats are similiar to mine. but i do understand what your saying. :) Am I able to? Yes. Are my stats optimal? HAH! No :P. I really wish I had the 85 herblore tbh. Then I wouldn't have to swap to an anti-fire shield and then back to my staff. I don't do qbd for money making tho. Just to charge my RCB.

  12. Aha true, well thank you for the advice. Also @ T O M Y! Im muted for two days in-game due to spamming h/c. :L otherwise i would reply to your pm. :) Oh you're a host? Glad I didn't tell you much then. No im not a host, i just decided to try it for a bit last night. I don't really understand how people make so much out of gambling. All i do is pvm, skill and merch for my cash. To answer how they make so much out of gambling. The only ones that make so much, are either the extremely lucky, or the host. The host holds all the cards. Not only does the host have a 2/3 chances of winning(3/4 if they play by special rules), they also already have your money. So their chance of winning is essentially 100%, because they can at their leisure, take your money. I could go into how hosts start out making money, but quite frankly I don't want to encourage that behavior. So to make it short without going in depth. RWT. They can afford to lose small, and run off when someone stupid bets big. You are much better off merching or pvm'ing for money. Because neither of those have a permamute/banhammer waiting for you at the end of the poop brick road. Also, don't buy the story that "Flower poker is 50/50". It isn't. It's more loaded than hot/cold. Which is quite an accomplishment tbh.
  13. There's a million proxies. Though if your schools half competent the majority of them will be blocked and any you get ahold of would be blocked promptly. Could try https, but again, if they're half competent that's already dealt with. You could try remote accessing your desktop at home from the school, but I doubt the school wouldn't have implemented something to prevent that, unless they're incompetent. My suggestion, get a deck of cards and play a game with irl friends FFS. And by "deck of cards" I don't mean magic the gathering <--- One of the biggest most genius money schemes i've ever seen in my life. I mean a normal deck of sodding cards you would play BS or Texas hold'em or some other game with. BS is especially fun but it's always fun to mix up what you play.

  15. Idk. Personally I bought a lot of Frost dragon bones b4 they started skyrocketing, selling them for 11k on the GE. You could probably goto w31(like everyone else is doing -rolls eyes- ) and spam for frost Dbones for 8.8/9k and resell on the GE easily for 10k+. The hard part is buying them ofc :P. At the end of the day, it's up to you to find what to buy and sell though. Cause even if I knew a real cash cow atm(frosities ain't it), I wouldn't tell you until after I milked it dry :P.
  16. Hard call because Dbones and Frost Dbones are rising. You can't buy frosties below 10k on the G.E atm. And Dbones are about 2.2k. I spent 42mil from 70-92 prayer on Dbones when they were 1.8k. And you'd spend well into the 90m(however, with prices as they are now you'd likely spend well into 110m+ region to get to 92) region using Frost dragonbones. But you'd spend 1/3rd of the time leveling prayer. Note, however, that you can only buy 1k frost dragon bones every 4 hours, so it also takes significantly longer to buy frosties than Dbones.
  17. Database for pre-eoc. Probably. Database for 07? Frankly Idk. Kind of depends. The two closest things I've found is #1. A horribly out dated absolutely incomplete neoseeker equipment database. And #2. http://www.global-rs...database/items/ Of which they have either went to an older database backup, or simply didn't have a dedicated community to really update their stats. As essentially every weapons stats I found there was last updated in 06/07. Ofc it also includes some newer items such as Zaryte bow which hasn't been updated since 011? So I'm imagining the community just wasn't dedicated enough to update stats to the EoC.
  18. I'm going to take a wild guess and say, hah, no. You could try putting it into an extremely small resolution by todays standard, but your TV will likely just cut it off and give you a small box rather than speading it across the whole screen.
  19. "and I think god wars is probably the fastest way to do it" it isn't. Unless you're extremely lucky. QBD is 2m+/hr if you get fairly standard kill times, and looking at your stats that should be easy for you. At the end of the day, if you really want to do GWD, your best bet is Saradomin or Bandos. Arma's falling pretty hard(understandably because he's camped pretty hard atm), and Subjugation is pretty harsh too. Bandos is camped like no tomorrow, though bandos has been camped like that for a long long long time. So no surprise there. And sara, well I have no clue how camped Sara is. But i'd assume she's camped to a lesser extent than the others due to 70 agility req. But because of more valuable drops, that's hard to say because pro's would be more inclined to hunt her then.
  20. I have honestly no clue as to how full sara/armadyl bosses are as of lately. But I would assume they're camped pretty hard just like zammy/bandos. And I know with the right gear you could last forever at armadyl. At anyrate, could you solo arma in void with ss, ovls, and yak/uni? Yes. Though initially my afk armadyl comment was in jest :P. It's certainly possible with your gear. Just be careful. GF'ing void = 8 hours of absolute boredom.....
  21. Aren't the crossbow limbs worth a lot though? I just want to know the average gp per hour with TDs. I'm mainly trying to make money though. The value of limbs isn't clear. They're valuable in the sense that they are rare, and frankly how long have we been asking for a freaking dragon xbow? Finally get a dragon cross bow, and it sucks. Fml Jagex. But I digress. Considering the salamanders as Quy pointed out, it seems to me that the value is cosmetic/collecting. Which admittedly, can fetch some pretty high prices. Peeps love dem cosmetic stuffz. As you can tell if you saw my character in game wearing elegant clothes and a black cavalier with a rune cane.... Which honestly doesn't cost much anymore... For money though, honestly, I would go kill QBD. She's a lot more fun and she's very consistent money of 2m+/h. Or AFK at armadyl :P.
  22. A lot of TDs valuable drops have been kinda killed. Frankly if I were you id go and aim for barrows if I were lazy or QBD if I wanted serious cash and was willing to work a bit for it.
  23. First of all, cheap 1 handed that's better than arma xbow, sagaies. Second of all, the item has been obtainable for a while now. And 20m, is way too much for that. My friend managed to snag the main hand for 8m and the off hand for 5m. It's the exact same stats as arma xbow :l...
  24. Tbh, at least in my scrubby little opinion, while you can't cannon waterfiends, they die really fast to a royal crossbow and give 170 xp/kill, so I think they're worth it. Though it can be a bit hard to find a world for fiends during peak times.
  25. Yeah I apologize. -cough- clan problems -cough-.
