  1. This may be stupid to ask, but can you duo/team against the QBD (I literally have read nothing on her/how to kill her)?
  2. I was trying to figure out how Royal Cbow works/how to get one. Do I have to fight QBD to get it functional?
  3. Ok, that makes sense. I am getting P2P tomorrow, so I am going to buy the armors tonight. You guys had said I should get barrows, which pieces/sets should I buy?
  4. Ahh, I see. And if I remember correctly you recieve Excalibur from the Holy Grail quest? I do not remember which one exactly, I just remember getting it from a quest once upon a time. I forgot to mention murmur is only marginally better at .1% but nearly 8x the cot as a ranging amulet. Exp quest rewards for TWW: Pale lamp granting 250,000 Prayer experience (requires at least 80 Prayer) Glossy lamp granting 110,000 Slayer experience (requires at least level 70 Slayer) 3 Ancient lamps granting 100,000 experience in three different skills above level 75. 3 Static lamps granting 50,000 experience each in any combat skill above level 65 You can prayer at Guthix's alter 1 time for 100k prayer exp (requires 90 prayer) I hear if you don't have the lvls for some, just destory them and reclaim them later. Hmmm.. I can only get about 1/2 of those, right now. Is that including the extras from the quest required parts (the extra ones) as well or no? On a different note, how do the armors work? Let's say I am using melee: If the monsters are magic based should I try to wear magic-absorbing (mage robes/dhide) or should I try to wear barrows/melee armor in order to increase my melee damage or whatever?
  5. Without the Elite is it still the best weapon for offhand?
  6. Ok, so CClaw first, EE ASAP as well as 92 Prayer/Herb (eventually). I have quite a few Herblore Levels needed before I can complete the Elite tasks (I should be able to do everything else with ease, thankfully). Alright, I see. Well as I said, I do not forsee myself getting the level/tokens needed for both CR and CS for a few weeks/a month, so I don't necessarily need to make this choice right now. On the note of Chaotics, I should get BOTH Rapier offhand/regular before getting any other ones, correct? Still trying to figure out what the best amulet/boots are if anyone would like to inform me. :P Also, I have decided that for the first weekend atleast, I am going to quest (finishing off all those new, weird F2P quests, right now) and maybe even do some more coming into next week. I currently have 183 QP and want to probably get that up to ~230/250 depending on what I can do levels-wise in the next few weeks. Priority-wise, which quests should be MUST? Temple of Sennisten, I have on my list, as well as the World Wakes, what other quests/quest lines are extremely beneficial that I should do ASAP? I also will be buying 70 Prayer this weekend and hopefully getting it even before questing (this will depend, I guess). Questions in bold for TL; DR. As mentioned before, do all the quest you can. The ones that benefit you the most are quest that give out free exp to use on any skill and quest with weapon items. Because of the added benefits after TWW you should do the goblin series. You won't be able to do RotM but I suggest working to get there then doing it. I don't know what quest you've done but you should go for every quest related to TWW. That is The Chosen Commander, RotM, The Void Stares Back, BoD, and Firemakers Curse. Ideally a quest cape is what you'd want since many of the good rewards come from the end or near end of quest lines. Priority priority wise, do Roving Elves for the Crystal Bow and TWW for the free combat exp. For boots and amulets considering on a budget. Melee: Dragon boots and Glory. If you happen to own Bandos boots before EoC then keep them. Best: Steadfast and Saradomin's whisper Magic: Ganodermic boots and Arcane Stream. Best: Ragefire and Arcane Stream Range: Spined unless you can afford Arma and amulet of ranging. Best: Glaiven and Saradomin's murmur. Ring wise you'd want to do all the quest for the 6th age circuit which is the best ring in game and hybrid. Otherwise you can buy a Berserker ring to save money. Note: Waterfiends are hard to kill with a crystal bow, so you'd do better to buy a black salamander and kill Black demons. I will have BB available once I get P2P so I think I will just use those. I will also buy Whipser and Murmur and then save up for Steads/Ragefire/Glaviens, eventually. On the quest-side of things, I think I have all of the Goblin Series done with the exception of The Chosen Commander, so I will hopefully finish that series this weekend. I had just started Regicide when I quit on this account, so I hopefully do that/Roving Elves and TWW this weekend. I heard the TWW gives like 900k EXP or something as a reward? What would be the suggested skills to use that on?
  7. I am going to reset first page in preparation for getting P2P on my combat account, Valeri. Add me in-game if you so choose. Just so you all know, my other goals, on Accia, are still goals, they're just not my #1 priority. Hopefully in a few months down the road, my enjoyment of combat and the combat itself will pay off and I'll get enough money to finish all the goals on Accia, but we shall see. Expect an update (something not boring as [bleep]), sometime late this evening.
  8. Alright, I see. Well as I said, I do not forsee myself getting the level/tokens needed for both CR and CS for a few weeks/a month, so I don't necessarily need to make this choice right now. 9. Saving for drygore mace means I can't :/ Drygore's for chums. :D No really, good luck to the both of you.
  10. Ok, I will try to do those first then. I can't finish all of RFD yet, so barrows gloves aren't an option. What is the best allaround amulet? Fury? Boots should just be Bandos I would guess? I have heard that SoL is less accurate than, Chaotic, but I will certainly use SoL until I have the level/tokens for Staff.
  11. Which Godsword, besides Saradomin (due to its expense) would you suggest, until I get Chaotics, that is. Also, which Chaotic would be wisest to purchase first? Does anyone know of a good link to a Barrows guide? I think I will try doing that for abit to gain some cash towards 92/95 Prayer. Once I get the prayer levels, I will aim to get 90 Herblore and on the side I will do fishing for 90 as well. I might try for 90 Thieving, but the other one's are my current priorities, I guess. I heard/have read a few things saying that helms/boots/etc. don't matter for what you're fighting or something (I not entirely get what armors are best for what monsters, etc. yet). I believe I finished purchasing the ability to make the Slayer Helm just before I quit on this account years ago, is the Slayer Helm still worth getting for Slayer or is it worthless now? What gloves/boots are the best (preferably ones I don't have to continue changing depending on what combat style I am focusing on)? EDIT: What quests do you suggest? Just list all the one's you can think of and if I've done them I'll ignore your suggestion and anyone's I haven't done I will get a work on/get the levels for.
  12. Hello! So, before getting into my questions, I just want to say I am currently still playing RS, but I have not trained combat since long before EoC was released. The Point of this thread is essentially so I can learn how best to do combat and maximize my time spent training. Ok, so to start, here are my stats: I am 164 Combat and have probably a total worth of ~20-25m. Now, I plan on buying P2P this Friday, but until then I want to get your guys' suggestions on what armor/training methods I should purchase once I actually get members. As you can see from the stats, I was once a member, and I have quite a few of the "higher" (this was awhile ago, so they're not that impressive) quests done, like Legends, etc. Questions: I have 93 Fletching. Should I immediately start doing POP once I get P2P? If so, what is the prime setup, etc. for that and what should I buy first and so on (I did POP before, but very unsuccessfully so I know how it works for the most part, I just don't know how to plan it all out, etc.). What armor/weapons should I buy/get immediately? Assume, I don't have anything already from quests (I have very few P2P items left from my last active time). Should I get 80 Dungeoneering+ for Chaotics? If, so what is the most efficient/fastest way to train Dungeoneering, now a days? How should I build my ability bar? Are there any skills I should focus on before diving into combat, if so can I train them on the side? If I don't have enough money for certain items that would be greatly beneficial, what methods would you suggest for gaining more cash in order to purchase those items? Should I train slayer to train combat skills or do specific "grinding" per se? I will add/ask more questions as I come up with them. Thanks, ahead of time, for any help you all can give!
  13. What do you mean by 3s abilities? I feel like such a noob. I literally know NOTHING about combat/how to maximize efficiency in it, etc.
  14. This. Brilliant, however, I guarantee you that it has been suggested before, or that JaGEX has thought about it. However, news flash, JaGEX makes money by keeping bots. Members who bot pay for memberships (duh). And that's a pretty sizable amount I'd guess. And if JaGEX "takes up the war against bots" they could implement what you suggested and I would guess it'd not be very difficult. But they would lose thousands of members and only maybe get the good PR. But if they pretend to war against bots, they get somewhat good PR, bot members stay, and they don't have to really do anything. Thus making money for less work the goal of nearly any business.
  15. I'm not really a fan of questing to be entirely honest. However, I am going to wait until Friday to decide, but I think I may resurrect one of my old accounts (Valeri) and use that to get combat (it's already like 170-180 combat if I remember correctly). I haven't played on it in probably 2 or 3 years, so expect alot of questions/ etc from a newb combater, here.
  16. Hi. So I may start training combat and stuff. Can you teach me the ways of Qombat?
  17. Awesome! I would presume that the reason hides (especially black dragon) have gone up is because the level required for them has decreased (as has the demand) and thus people don't kill Black Dragons for dragon hide - however, since they are still one of the best methods of crafting EXP dragon hide are is still heavily supplied.
  18. Got 79 Firemaking yesterday which was coooooool. I have no pictures so, yet another boring blog post. I apologize. I was looking through people's blogs today and was seeing all the Bossing blogs and such and it's but a fire in my soul to do combat. I am unsure if this is a good or bad idea yet, however, so I am not going to act on it quite yet. What are your guys' thoughts?
