Don't give us that bullcrap. Do you think everything should stay the same? Of course not. Jagex had better ways to deal with these problems than simply giving us these terrible updates. They need to change back, and soon. The condition RS is in now, thousands of players are quitting because of this. I go to work and attend college, and I deal with change all the time. Do you know why riots are happening? Because people are pissed off at Jagex, they are not their former selves. Riots never did a dam thing to convince anything to change, if you didn't want riots, Jagex shouldn't of caused the problem. RWTs and macroers were always around, and like it or not they helped shape the Runescape economy. Without them it will crash, and it's likely that it already happened because of the GE and the new trading system. These updates are a joke. I suggest we all quit subscribing to Jagex until they feel that they are losing money. Only then would they ever think of changing things to the way they were. But I highly doubt it, because all Jagex is anymore is a money hungry company. They have earned millions alone through members. They should be giving us quality updates, not updates of quantity. I'm gonna go move to WoW soon if Jagex doesn't get their act cleaned up. At least Blizzard cares about the content of their game as well as their own community.
  2. Jagex hasn't been doing anything great for a good 3 years. I liked RS2 in it's early run but as the game wore on I was starting to miss Classic more and more. Now it's simply a watered down version of it's former self. Who knew that the game would be destroyed by it's creators? If we knew what was happening I doubt many of us would even start playing the game. Admit it Jagex, you ruined the game. Just uplift the 6 month activity rule and I'll be a happy camper. But I doubt they listen to anything I or others say so screw them. I'm done with Runescape. Maybe WoW will have something more promising, even if it doesn't hold the same experience as I had in RS Classic.

I agree. I use to play Runescape not just for competition, but to relax after a day of school and to just have fun. I died numerous times in the wilderness and it was amusing to see high lvled pkers pissed off when they didn't kill low lvled players. Now Jagex is turning this game into a Communist type environment. Why couldn't they just release a few new items or at least a couple new quests, even if they weren't that good? There was no reason to go and butcher Duel Arena, set up a GE, destroy pking, and add a new trading system. It was all poorly done with poor research. Why isn't Jagex doing anything to remove these updates, if the majority of Runescape players are against them? I hope they suffer with what they've done with the game as of late and learn that it wasn't the best way to handle the problems of Runescape.
  4. I do remember Zezima having 1664 total. Bonebreaker6 was the former number 1 until he quit playing. The Old Nite was still in the top 5. :D

I find your post to be selfish and inconsiderate. Of the time I've played I've seen people come and go, some staying for a while and others quitting after just a few days. Everyone has different tastes, and they complain on what they feel needs to be changed. Jagex has done poor planning, if you feel that all these riots are only adding fuel to the fire, then it was clear that Jagex themselves shouldn't of started the problem, plain and simple. There have been many companies that were once respected and loyal to their customers that have been torn down by poor decisions and a lack of consistancy which causes them to fall and file for bankruptcy. Look at Enron for example. I wouldn't be surprised if Jagex follows in the same suit, given that they will continue to go the path they are going for a few months now until they milk the crap out of Runescape until it's dead dry.
  6. I could certainly care less what Jagex does from this point on. My time is done and I have better things to do than to go watch them water down this game more and more until it is hardly even playable. And unlike most people here I started on Runescape Classic, which is when I felt that the game was at it's peak. Now I can't even log onto there anymore to explore or to just have fun. It's stupid rules like the 6 months of activity (if you were gone then you won't be able to log onto Classic) that removes one step from having a great and wonderful experience.
  7. Glad I quit long before this. I might as well play a MMORPG that actually cares about the content they put into their game. Jagex has failed to follow these guidelines for at least 2 years.
  8. I would rally if only I had the guts to log back in. These updates have been nothing but bullcrap written all over it.
  9. There is much more to these terrible updates than what you think amitoz. I deal with change every day, but the attitude Jagex has been posing on the honest players is inconsiderate and rude. You don't realize how this badly affects the game. Think about it. Staking 3K every 15 min? Jagex dictating the prices at GE? No more pking? No more sharing the wealth? You call this GOOD? It's terrible, it's ughcastic. This does not represent a fun loving and peaceful community. If anything Jagex is turning it into a communist type nature where everything is equal and no one can gain wins or losses over another player. Don't give me that crap that your only starting to realize that this is going to get rid of the autoers. They have always been around, ever since the early days of RS Classic. Even in early RS2 I always come across lvl 3s at Draynor Village doing nothing but cutting wood and stockpiling it in their bank accounts. This will not only fail to get rid of all of them, but it will also cause many honest players to quit, lose respect in Jagex, and find something else to bide their time. Unlike many people here, I have been with this game since Runescape Classic, and I've seen many events happen, from the party hat duplicating issue to the changes in Varrock and Falador. While I appreciate a couple of the comments here, until someone gives a long, detailed post of how Runescape has gone from being great to being crappy, I won't take any of you seriously.

And here the majority of you posting here haven't been around to play RS all that much. Or your just giving that "I don't give a crap" attitude which shows you little respect for something you represent. I started on Classic, back when Jagex cared about the content they were making. RS2 was great in it's early run, but since 2005 the game has slowly gotten worse and worse. And now I see no reason to go and play a game that once had soul and love to be taken away by Jagex themselves. They ruined Runescape, fair and square. I highly doubt they will change it back to the way it used to be that attracted so many players. Heck, no one in today's society changes anything back to it's former state, we all just continue to feed ourselves with more and more crap until we feel that we're in a state of nostalgia. The only way I will be interested in ever coming back is if they destroy these terrible updates they've made in the past month and just let the players roam free with their pking trips and trading items. But even if that happened, I highly doubt things will go back to their former. This game has changed too much in too little time. It's like trying to keep up with the ever changing face of technology, which may be why some of us are feeling miserable in this futuristic 21st Century we live in.
  11. I would like to know who exactly at Jagex is making these terrible updates. Someone here needs to hack into their database and send a virus.
  12. It's crazy over in the Runescape forums. And here none of you are taking it seriously? I don't have time to complain with a bunch of people who do nothing but disagree with my points. Thus all I'm asking is an honest opinion, but it looks like I'm not getting anything. Oh well, I don't need to be a member or even play this game anymore. If Jagex doesn't care about me quitting the game or doesn't care that what they are doing now is wrong, then I don't care about them either.
  13. I guess you have never been to the rants section here before. That is basically what happens with every single rant here. If you didn't want people to bash you for this, you should have kept it to yourself and kept your mouse off of the post button. Ever think that these might just also be a way to try and keep these "longterm" players interested in the game so that they don't switch over to another game that shall remain unnamed that has better flashier graphics? Ever think that they can add new content and update the old stuff jeez, I don't know, at the same time? This leads me to believe that you have not read a single thing about the new Barbarian update that included the dungeon with the mith dragons. When they did this the added many things to a lot of skills that made it so that there are things to do at much higher levels than there used to be, including herblore and the often ignored firemaking skill. Lunar magics also did this not too long ago with the magic skill. You really don't research what you choose to complain about do you? You don't have any level 99 skills do you? I am guessing that because if you did you would know that even with all of the new updates that getting to level 99 in most of the skills is far from a free ride. And even the ones that are slightly easier costs a very large amount of money if you chose to get that level in the slightly faster way. You are aware that Jagex is a business and these new players are how this business makes money right? Way to say how to drop trade in forums. :P But seriously, how am I supposed to take you saying you have never seen it happen as proof that it never happens? I am pretty sure that you are incapable of playing the game 24 hours a day on every single world. Why yes, that is what people are looking for in a new game. Why whenever I find some kind of new game on the internet that I haven't heard of before, the first thing I do is go and see if they are making a lot of money. Then, and only then, do I decided whether or not I am going to play the game. [/sarcasm] No, I did not come here to hurt anybody. I came here to express a point that Jagex has failed to notice in recent months. I am expecting good opinions from others here as well as bad ones. So far, people like you are disagreeing with everything I try to point out. Where's that in getting a message across? I know this, because I've been around players who have played the game for a long time, and they have noticed a change in the game for the worse. Change is not always good, but I think Jagex can do better than what they are doing now. I advise you to read some of the rants on Runescape forums. While not all of them are good, a few are well written and I've gotten many of my opinions from there, as well as looking at the new updates. It seems that RS Tip It is in a different league than from what those people are trying to get across. Wow, do I count daisies? All I'm saying is that I want Jagex to fix the things they already made, but it seems with every new update, another problem occurs. I do research, and I haven't read about these things because I haven't been to experience them. I saw the GE update, and it was terrible. Why do you think so many high lvl players are complaining now? They don't just do it for the heck of it. I guess you never bothered to look. I have 99 fletching, and believe me it took me a couple years to get there, without so much on "X Options." I could get 99 cooking if I wanted to, but there is really no purpose other than to raise your skill lvl and to wear a cape. Your missing the point. If Jagex was still catering to us, they would still be releasing quests like Underground Pass and Monkey Madness. They ruined unidentified herbs, just to appease the younger players. Jagex needs to try the game themselves and ask their player mods how they feel about the changes before they go bustling around changing this or changing that without much thought put into it. So I accidently pointed out what drop trade is. I did not say I was incapable of playing 24 hours a day. Jagex ruined another update, why did they need to move the Party Room to Falador when it was just fine and dandy in Camelot? No, they look for a new game to have fun and to experience different feelings throughout their gameplay. That's what you get in a MMORPG. There are ones out there that don't necessarily think about trying to make a lot of money, they are there to meet player's satisfaction and to give them good, meaningful updates. You can't please everyone, but that seems to be the course that Jagex has taken in recent years.
  14. Are you guys that narrow minded? I posted my opinions and you guys bash me on it, what the's point in that? Longterm players are the backbone to this game, yet update after update is just flashy distractions, to lure other short attention span gamers into switching to Runescape. In order to add more content to this game (if that is indeed their objective) there are many things that can be improved that don't give advantages but offer rewards. There is a huge difference between updating something and adding something else that's new. So many skills have been left unfinished. Patient and motivated players are far beyond the rate of quality updates. The majority of skills end in the 80s to low 90s and yet thousands have already become masters of them. Do these experts in those skills see a reward? Not really. The benefits from any skill from even 98 to 99 is almost unnoticable. They gave us capes and emotes which don't even add benefit to any skill outside of combat. If your cape is in something like farming, then why the hell would a farming cape need combat stat benefits? It's poorly planned, and it leaves us something that is based on EGO, not REWARD. Should a lvl 99 player get huge advantages? Better rewards? Yes! Since they have got to the top of the ladder. They should hit the hardest, get the biggest drops, fastest woodcutting and mining, biggest crops, access to special areas, etc. etc... then instead of holding hands of lower to mid lvl players, easing their frustrations as they get the level, make the incentive to get to the top, not to need a free ride there. The surge of immature players lead to the downfall of this game sadly. Dedicated players are now merely trying to stand in front of this pestilence that is sweeping across Runescape. This year marks the decay of Runescape. Personally, I find the month of November was utter ruination for dedicated players. Nearly every update has been quite apparantly aimed at attracting new players. For example, the latest Party Room Changes update. Jagex merely attempted to veil their intentions with stopping real world item trading. In over three years of membership I never came across anyone trying to drop trade through the Party Room.MOD Edit: Drop Trading is against Jagex rules please don't advise others how to do it ~ Shaz I have come to notice that Jagex acts the part of a savior yet they have tongues of serpents. As long as Jagex rakes in large sums of money they will continue to appeal to the new players. I highly doubt Jagex cares at all about their older players. We originally helped to support them, our payment seems to be that we will become the forgotten.
  15. Well, after a long hiatus I decided to log in a few days ago on my account, and the changes that have been made since my departure are shocking. I really feel as if Jagex is slowly deciding to kill this game with their meaningless updates and their lack of support for higher level players. Perhaps the most upsetting update is the Grand Exchange. It just killed many of the ways merchants make their money. It is now harder to earn the items you want than before the update was put into effect. As if the layout of the game wasn't bad enough (it was alright when RS2 started, why did Jagex have to change it?), there was also the wilderness ditch and possibly worst of all, the duel arena update. What kind of bullcrap is this if you can only stake 3k? It wasn't anything in the old days, it's not worth anything now. How do you feel Pkers and Skillers feel about this? Does anyone not realize how this ruined the way of staking millions? It feels that today that I am no longer part of the community anymore (I quit the game but still, if you played the game you should still be a part of it), I'm being pushed aside for the newer players who don't know jack on how great Runescape used to be. There is simply no denying that Runescape is going downhill. If this was still the days when RS2 just started I would still be playing now, or even just a couple years ago. But in recent years (aka 2006-current), Jagex has made changes to make the game more restrictive for veteran players rather than giving them an adventure. Runescape doesn't need more tutors. It doesn't need more catering. It doesn't need more equality. It doesn't need more sugercoated crap put into it. Weren't we supposed to be set free and enjoy everything the game had to offer? It needs competition, and it seems that with every recent update Jagex puts out it just strays away from what the purpose of Runescape was supposed to be. By all honesty, I see no point in an assist system (the lower lvl players should be given items and advice, not help with skills), I see no point in going to duel arena to stake a lousy 3k, and I see no point in using the Grand Exchange to watch Jagex dictate the prices. Even stuff like prayer and magic has changed. What happened to tanglevine? I don't need a home teleport. This game was quite amazing when it first started (aka RS Classic), and up until the end of 2004 things were going good. Then came the pointless updates, rants, and the catering to players who've only just started days ago before these updates would infest the once great game. Where's the catering to the high lvled veterans people? Why can't there be a quest that requires a few 90+ skills, or something that is worth doing such as Legends Quest or Heroes Quest? Instead, Jagex continues to ignore the cry of dedicated players and focus more on the players who don't deserve anything. More and more high lvl players are quitting, and anymore, it's tough for me to find somebody who has been loyal and fair to the game since it's creation. The reason why I quit for this long (one and a half years) in the first place is because Jagex decided to take upon a direction I did not want to participate in. These new updates, in my opinion, are making competition less fun. Even the older players are agreeing with this. If Jagex actually decided to log in and do a little skilling rather than show up and do nothing, they would agree that Runescape has lost it's spirit as of late. I want my old RS back guys. It doesn't mean I want to go back to 2003 or 2004. It means that I want that freedom that was once there to return. I refuse to use these updates, but ones such as assist system simply can't be ignored easily. That means that a lvl 3 who had gotten an uncut dragonstone can now get an ammy of glory. What stupid thinking Jagex has made with that. I'm sick and tired of these fools only caring about the money. If they are getting paid thousands if not millions to keep this game going, wouldn't you think they would be releasing quality updates like they did 3-5 years ago? Jagex today acts behind their cheap excuses of "real world trading" and "the threat of bots." I felt the number of random events that were around in 2004 was enough. If anything, updates that were put into the game since the introduction of Pest Control should be removed. I prefer the old ways of training. This game is too easy now. There is no point. In response to older players, the nice community we once had in members is gone and nonexistant. Did people get lazy in recent years? Yes. That doesn't mean that Jagex should try to give them any hope in adding something like an assist system or giving them "X Options." Staking and Pking are but two great examples of how Runescape has passed from its former glory. Jagex has listened to paying customers too long and not the real dedicated players. The soul of runescape, the essence that brought many of the veteran players into the game has died. Today is not the same game. It's been proven time and time again when government, or in this case Jagex, when they interfere with a great economy Runescape once had, things tend to take a turn for the worse. This proves them to be ignorant, and I go by the phrase "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it!" So in conclusion, nothing is the same anymore. I had potential in Jagex to make Runescape grand and awesome, like they did through the days of Runescape Classic and early RS2. There is something wrong when an update is posted and you get 500 rants on the forums, by all means that is not supposed to happen. Sure everyone has ranted on every update day in and day out, but nothing to the point where we tend to believe it ruins the game. The game is just no fun anymore, with the constant new items being pushed in our faces, constant price changes, etc. It just seems like punishment to me and other dedicated players. I really don't think I missed anything great in my year and a half hiatus, other than updates to make the game worse more than to enhance it. The Runescape I knew and loved is dead. And therefore, I have no reason to become a member.
  16. A throwback to my earlier days of RS2, nostalgia aside. More to come...
  17. Granted, I think Jagex came out with better updates in 2004, when we had the Kalphite Queen and such. Although I haven't played this game since 2006, my advice is to just ignore the idiots. Even in the old days of RS (I'm talking Classic) there were people complaining about the updates then. I didn't like the updates either but I didn't pay attention to them and I just did what I was doing best. I wish I still had those RS Classic Pics, too bad they got deleted a couple years ago.
  18. CaJ replied to Forum_User's topic in Rants
F2P has barely changed since 2003. But they get these ads because like everyone else, they're playing the game for free. They're not paying $5 to get no ads, more skills, more quests, or more options. Just think of it as a shareware version to the full version of the game. Putting many options for F2P just has the players wanting more and more without paying for them.
  19. CaJ replied to CaJ's topic in Rants
Wow uh, I guess I have so much hate thrown my way. I hardly even come here, in fact this is the first time since last November that I decided to take a peek around to see how things are. I don't play RS anymore anyways, ever since most of my friends have left and people have found faster and easier ways to lvl their stats. Making X Options has not been around that long, only within the last 2 years. And to say that everyone with 99 skills should go back to lvl 1 is the most ridiculous claim I've ever heard. Why not go for lvl 100? Or perhaps lvl 110 or 115 in a skill? This is what fails because what what once an extremely tough lvl to get to is now much easier today than it was 3-4 years ago when RS2 was just starting. There's always been shortcuts, but people are always taking the cheap route. I just don't like seeing where things are much easier to handle and lvl up rather than doing it the way some veterans have been doing for years. I'm not saying RS is bad, in fact I thought it was one of the best free MMORPGs out there. But when you get quests that are too easy, items that are unnecessary, and stuff that is just plain worse, there is something wrong. When was the last time we had a quest as hard as Legends Guild or the Mourning Ends quest series? I mostly played the game on private, meaning that I shut down every annoying person that was out there and did my own thing. If your saying I should quit, you don't have to because I already did over a year ago. Besides this is a Rants forum so it is suspected that people complain about things that may be totally dumb for other fellow RS players. If you don't like the attitude that lingers around the Rants, then don't bother looking here.
  20. They were always around. I recall back in late 2002 I got scammed out of everything forcing myself to create another account (which later became my main). Of course that was in f2p, members was a pretty nice community back then.
  21. CaJ replied to NonRune's topic in Rants
Well I certainly didn't like some of the changes RS has gone through, but work was getting in the way so I had to retire. Keep in mind that I haven't lvled any stats since the Summer of '06, I would probably be lvl 124 if I was still playing but I just found RS boring after a while. Though I do agree with your opinion TC.
  22. CaJ replied to CaJ's topic in Rants
I am well aware of the changes and I started RS in 2002. I really don't mind if RS gave itself updates that were actually worth it. But cmon, what's the deal in catering to these younger audiences when they barely know the game? FYI I quit this game in June 2006 and I haven't gained any XP since. It ticks me off when I hear people say things on RS when they just started playing this game just this year or last year. They have no idea what the game was like before. Why not give a quest that requires a 95+ skill, or has a reward to a destination that only the true, elite players can visit? It's well worth the time rather than doing a dumb, pointless quest that offers practically nothing. There are members out there that want to do EVERY quest and expect Jagex to offer good, decent updates. But they are being pushed to the side by this new generation of kids that don't know any better. Sure, everyone was like that at some point during their childhood, but it's too young for them to really grasp the world of Runescape. It's better to just pay your membership by yourself rather than begging your parents to and expecting good grades from school which is just ridiculous to begin with. I'm tired of the "kid friendly" updates, and it just reminds me of how watered down today's cartoons are compared to those in the early 90s. Sadly, I am one of the few people anymore to have started with Classic. Not only do you need to be a member, but you have had to have been active in Classic within the past 6 months. Now I can't log in, and it's terrible because noone can make a new account on there either. It also bothers me to see the hiscores, how everyone has a 99 skill. That just shows the point that RS has gotten too easy and there really is no point in lvling anymore unless you have friends to chat with. I am well aware that cooking for example had quite a few people with lvl 99 even 3-4 years ago, but they put effort into getting there by buying lob-shark certificates off of merchants. Now as I see, any idiot can get lvl 99 as long as they know what he/she is doing.
  23. For those of you who been around since 2004 or so, I'm sure you'll all agree that Runescape has down downhill for quite some time now. My question is, what's going on? I mean, people surpassing the age limit? Over 20 people with All 99 Skills? Economy going through the roof? Runescape has fallen into the dark realm. A while back (sometime in early 2007) I logged onto f2p just to see if any of my friends were still playing, and I couldn't believe how many changes were made for the worse. What use to be melee training in Legends Guild and the Wildy is now easily surpassed by PC, meaning that any fool can go from lvl 40 to lvl 126 within a few weeks. 99 Strength is hardly an accomplishment anymore. If a few hundred people possess it, that's fine. But over 10 thousand? And what the heck is with X Options? It not only made cooking and fletching easier, but it also gave people faster ways to make money. Free-to-play was always the place for 8-10 year old kids to go waste their time begging for money and getting stuff that they didn't earn. But as early as last year I noticed that this was starting to become well apparent in members. What happened Jagex? What happened to your slow but worthful updates? Now it seems that they are throwing players tons of weekly updates that are hardly worth it. Quests use to have a purpose to them, now it's just to gain quest points and get more useless items and go to places that are barren. I remember the party room in Seers Village. Now it's moved to Falador where f2p players can go store useless items into them. People who play in the Wildy have been given items non-tradeable and I think that just destroys the concept of why they are there in the first place. One of the major problems are the newer, younger players. They beg and want updates that are simply "kid friendly" and more easy on the player, rather than going to work to gain a certain lvl or item like how it used to be a few years ago. The trash that has always flooded the f2p worlds are now spilling into the members worlds. Do their parents even watch these kids? I'm 19, and I can't believe how many people who play this are younger than me. In a real MMORPG I would most likely be in the younger age group, but on Runescape I'm as if I'm some old fellow that gripes about anything new. The age limit is a joke. Your supposed to be older than 13, but any little kid knows that he/she can go past that barrier and make an account just to humilate others. I bet over 95 percent of these kids don't bother to read the rules or listen to the NPCs on tutorial island. These newer players either take the game too seriously or are just there to tease others. Finding a real friend is a rarity nowadays. The guy that helps you on quests and go training together at legends guild or being in a clan, while having fun. There's no honesty or intregity, it's all about making a quick buck and trying to become the best, richest player there is. It's clear, Jagex is running out of ideas. The home teleport, the PC minigame, the Construction skill, and their constant updates on new items only made the game worse. I'm beginning to think that they are greedy now. I happen to quit this game last year, because I just couldn't take it any longer. I wish they would go and look at what they've done to their own game in the past two years.
  24. No. That would make combat xp gaining way too easy, and I am already mad at how everyone is gaining high combat lvls when I gotten lvl 111 the hard way. I don't want to see an overabundance of lvl 126s, so no to "Spend All Points." Wait I already quit this game...
  25. I'm starting a topic hopefully many would be interested in. Just curious to know all your best memories and what it felt like.. The party hat scam back in Nov 2003. I remember it well, everyone went crazy because the prices for the rares just plummeted. Obviously someone had duplicated a number of pink party hats, and Jagex later had to delete them. The people who had sold them or those who simply duplicated them were banned. Good Times  The very first day of RS2 beta on December 1st, 2003. I remember the very first time I logged in I was like holy cow this is great for a Java game!! Everything to killing monsters to training skills was great, you actually got to see your character doing some actions. I wish I had that experience back, but RS2 beta will never return... :( The Drop Parties hosted by various FanSites. I remember back in the day before RS2 came out RSC had great drop parties, not like all these fake ones you see today. They were actually real, and the ones by RuneHQ and RuneVillage attracted a lot of guests. But the rewards were huge. I remember I would go crazy over a dragon med, a dragon shield or even just a dragon axe being announced at a drop party! Some of the big ones dropped Santa Hats and Party hats, worth a good amount back then. I sure miss those times. When you met someone who was famous or had a skill ranked at number 1. Everyone knows who Zezima is, but I happen to know him ever since he took over Bonebreaker6s spot around early Dec. 2003. Ever since then he has maintained one of the longest ranked spots ever, it was rare that he would drop behind. Other famous players I met were Zonghui, Fist of God, Ltangel, Swedemike, Piranha, Jamie2002, The Old Nite, and others I can't remember. When people congratulated you for doing the Legends Quest. Before RS2 had to make it where you could eat while fighting, you had to run away after monsters swung 3 strikes. I was lvl 76, and had gotten weary of a long quest after completing the what was then hard Underground Pass. Nonetheless I had to fight demons, and I had barely survived. After I finished the quest, I went down and fought some shadow warriors. The people who were there besides me replied in a very nice manner, because they were considerably much higher lvl than I was. I found fighting Shadow Warriors back then to be a real fun experience. You don't see such loyal high lvl players down there anymore. :( Going out into deep wildy. When I was a noob I use to go out all the way to the Axe House just to see if anyone was training. Once they chased me I had to run of course, really it was walking because you couldn't run in RS1. But I remember times when I tried entering the wildy bank and a few lvl 110s trapped me between the door and the exit outside. I had no choice but to give up the items I lost. But what was fun afterwards was dying and finding a whole bunch of players dueling in Lumby. I think Jagex made a big mistake to only allow dueling in the Dueling Arena. I wish all these memories would come back at me. I think that Runescape has gone from a glorious safe haven to a rundown shack held by low lvled noobs. I'm not here to talk about that, if any of you have played Runescape for a long time, feel free to post your memories here.
