I'm going to go on a limb here and suggest that the OP has probably never once given a gift to a friend for reaching 99, even if he does try to claim he has. Can you explain this a little more please? I'm a bit confused. An investment of 750k (over ten days) will net you several million GP in stuff. It's like a form of controlled botting because you can literally just set your account and bam, the stuff you get will literally pay for itself.

Gathering information from Squeal of Fortune is useless with how much Jagex shuffles around odds, shuffles items, shuffles regions (what items are considered for what rarity), shuffles chances. The OP's data will be useless in another couple of weeks as odds are once again moved around to encompass the fish mask being moved to the rare position (meaning changes in odds for uncommon and rare items) and then when the summer clothing sets are removed.

WoW doesn't. you just can't change everything in combat, except weapons and shields. Every other game has a mechanic in place to prevent gearswitching that would give an unfair advantage. I fixed it for you :P Also untrue. Ultima Online doesn't, for one.

They've already stated what they're going to do. They do tend to go back on their word quite a lot these days, though. I'd be surprised if this is the last we ever see of those masks. Why? Jagex said that the plan is to introduce more rares into the economy. There will likely be more items introduced into Squeal of Fortune or other methods, but they are probably just as likely to re-introduce phats and eggs than they are bringing back fish masks.

Imagine if they made holiday items retroactively tradeable (and obviously so you couldn't re-retrieve them from Diango). With my Yo-yo: Brb, moving all my items from Diango to bank. :P If they did that, I imagine they'd let you retrieve them one last time if they weren't already in your inventory. If anything, it may be a good time to try and duplicate your items old enough to "drop." Get a few so you can sell them if Jagex DOES do it.

I like this analogy. As someone who recognizes the serious nature of cancer, I don't like the over the top and frankly immature analogies the RuneScape community is prone to making. No. You earned 3M. WAT Rares went up for a number of reasons. 1.) No new items are coming in. 2.) players get banned who have them (stakers who RWT and get caught, scammers who steal them and get banned) 3.) people quit. 4.) people lose or destroy them. The fish mask will start going up in price once it is actually discontinued. For now, it is still dropping.
