Runescapers like that are a lot like old people. They're convinced that the old days were so much better and anything that makes anything faster or more convenient should be banned, just because they had to do it the hard way eons ago. The same people who complain when stuff gets faster complain when it gets slower. These people just lump into a group we call "never satisfied", and not unlike that group of old people, get a phone call once or twice a year to make sure they're still alive.

There are no fake quests. While some quests act as tutorials, they still have their own story fleshed out. In Pyre Need was a tutorial quest, but when you think of it was just as long as, say, the repunzel style quest (where you save the dwarf north of Falador in the tower by climbing his beard). They haven't. This has been discussed every year since the game was launched. No. I doubt it, but if they are it's because the community puts too much investment into 50-100-150 and now 170. They're a business, so yes. You've already asked this, it's been discussed for years. No.

I don't remember anyone saying Jagex needed to refund the items here or stuff needs to be changed. If I read the thread correctly, it's about people saying "it's just pixels" when the pixels represent time invested. I like how people use the Runescape Vs Real Life, as if time spent on Runescape is fake life. I think that they didn't have an event planned, but a couple of developers over there went on a meth binge over the weekend and stayed up for 48 hours creating it. I agree with the theory that this was a rush job. The event was a pallette swipe of a Christmas event, and the carrot is a clone of the rubber chicken. Very little creativity there, and I actually enjoyed the previous events. Oh well, there's still six months until the Halloween event.

We never get an exp reward from holiday events. Great job paying attention.
