2009 is a year of updating the old while also bringing in the new. In that regards, I think he's doing great. 2010 will return to the old style of big updates, I'm sure, but until then we're going to have to deal with old gripes being wiped clean.

Good update, overalll. This meets exactly what they said they were going to do, improve the game but also add in new content as well. It's nearing April and I've yet to see an old area be updated to make it useful, but that's always down the pipeline I guess. Oh well. You can't. You pay in increments of months, making the 61st day the start of the third month. Just pay the 15 bucks and get it over with. I don't know what exactly you came to us for, it's not like we can get you unbanned, nor are we some sort of consulting firm that can get your Runescape debts lowered in 30 days or less. You can cancel the recurring membership after you buy it, but you're still going to have the 29 extra days of membership left. Might as well use them while you have them. Obvious troll is obvious.

Corrupt pvp stuff is 15 minutes, full pvp stuff is 1 hour. You may be thinking of corrupt dragon items, which I belive are 30 minutes. To quote Mod Raven off RSOF Corrupt pvp armor/weapons (vesta, Zurial, etc) are 15 minutes, Corrupt Dragon is 30. I should have been more specific.

High Alch brought a lot of money into the economy. Look at how many people are high leveled in Magic, then realize how many of them high alched their way there.

I can't wait for the rants to come in on rsc. "omg y is there no player owned houses" "can't get out of combat for three turns. tis isn't what runescape waz liek" "no eating or potting during combat? you runed rsc jagax" I expect a proverbial [bleep]storm from people who claimed to play classic that will shoot themselves in the foot with a "I don't remember this being there" on something obvious like anything that was released with rs2 onwards not being in classic, or people complaining about 3-hit kills, no eating or potting in combat, etc. And they could at least upgrade the chat system in classic so we can talk through games again. And put classic back on the front page.

Runescape may have parallels with the real world, but it is not a parallel universe. What you see in the game now is just drawing inspiration from real world locations, stories, books, and plays. The fishing platform and Witchaven are more out of Call of Cthulu than anything.

I think the GE is great. The reason the community matured is that a lot of lurers and scammers got bored and left, so did a lot of the kids who real world trade. And I'll say the same thing to people who think Jagex is communist as those who think Obama was communist. I hope you like vodka, those hats with earflaps, and that hammer/sickle design.
