bongo actually got 2nd... LightSaber was just quoting his picture (and entire post) Sadly that means he has 33 points, putting him in 1st above me... Number of the Beast should fix that :

Right, so GH3 has been put on the back burner for longer than expected, because I'm trying to do well on GH:A... it seems to be paying off, because tonight (after everyone else has had their chance to claim super high scores, unlike the first day where I was taking advantage of lack of scores) I took 2nd on one song (who knows what it was... oh right, Nobody's Fault) on XBL and 1st on Always on the Run :D To make this even better, I stole that 1st from Piso, who is known as an excellent path-maker and such, which means my path that I made up on the spot right before playing is as good as his :D And then the next two songs killed my trend of good scores :(

I forgot we were on Avalancha... every time I've gone on lately I've considered bumping my score up on it, and always passed for other songs :( Loss of a point :( Edit: Motivation to attempt a CoP FC :o

I got GH:A... currently in the top 5 on about 5 of the 9 songs I've played so far using my own SP paths \ That includes a 1st place across all systems on scorehero for Movin' Out :D (and 1st on XBL) Not a bad game...

Glad you're back Diesel, though it was kind of fun to be head of the competition :D My recent progress: Lacking much Rank 103 as of posting - would be rank 100 but other people improved too (how dare they?!? ) Before I Forget FC - 559,938 (another 'WHERE'S MY 560k?!?) bumped me past the 13.7m mark for career score. That FC was a long time coming, considering how many times I -1ed or overstrummed (generally on *the* note that the bridge ended on, or the one after). I do want to redux for improved score, since I'm horrible at whammy and know I could push it more, but for now I'm pleased. Minus Celsius FC - 274,737 - missed one of the SP activations (due to whammy!) and thus want a redux ;) Radio Song ReFC - 195,463 - reduxed because I can... and it needs yet another redux, because, once again, whammy screwed me out of some good points Ruby ReFC - 205,378 - I think this one was mostly good... I don't remember whether I want to redux this or not :| It just sort of... happened... Take This Life 6 star (6.2) - 459,310 - I could actually FC this... I can do each section individually, but I have one of those horrible tendencies to mess up... (for anyone who doesn't understand the '6 star', at scorehero.com they have an extended star rating system that calculates how many stars you *would* get if it continued to add them based on multiplier... I don't feel like explaining all of the mechanics behind it) And that which I am most proud of: Prayer of the Refugee FC - 370,006 - Not proud of this for the FC, it's not that bad a song, proud that I got the 'Nearly Ideal' score on my first FC run, and that I'm currently ranked 29th on XBL for this song (the person at Rank 7 also has this score, so I'm effectively Rank 7 :) ) And unfortunately, that's all I have for improvements... expect some GH:Aerosmith work when it comes out though - I should be able to work through it pretty quickly

Final Scores: 1st: SaidinWoT - 207,840 2nd: Bongo Man - 206,988 3rd: XxKiteXx - 188,147 Next Song: Paint it Black I had already had your score beaten, Bongo (207,616), but neither XBL nor GH.com recognized it, so I had to go and redux it >_> At least I got 124 points out of it (super gain!)

Guitar Hero/Rock Band Discussion thread
The first time I passed Mosh 1, I simply alt-strummed my way through it. Not at full tempo, not at any specific tempo, just happily strummed away at *about* half the speed of the notes - I got into the Verse in the yellow I believe, just don't strum too fast if you do this. Now for personal achievements! XBL has rejected my most recent scores, but guitarhero.com has not, so meh... If XBL were being nice, I would currently be rank 108. Right now I believe I am rank 115 thanks to XBL being mean. Tonights stuff: Reduxed FCs: Mississippi Queen - 128,261 (up from 127k) Barracuda - 286,682 (yay palindromes! up from 281,866) Bulls on Parade - 287,047 (up from 282k) Miss Murder - 320,290 (up from 319k) Lay Down - No improvement... I have not gotten any better at squeezing since I FCed this in about January  Paint it Black - 314,338 (up from 313k) Anarchy in the UK - 330,602 (up from 321k) My Name is Jonas - 361,450 (400 point jump...) Even Flow - 359,320 (up from 354k) Non-FC Crap: Cliffs of Dover - 303,633 (up from 300k) Stricken - 529,940 (up from 521k) - a -6 run (best I've ever done on solo, even in practice) Rock You Like a Hurricane - 297,923 (up from 284k) - a -3 run I believe... and in the easy part of Solo 2... The Seeker - 335,656 (up from 335k...?) - FREAKING OVERSTRUM 100% >_> This FC has eluded me for months (well, I stopped trying months ago, so...) Yeah, productive evening. Also bumped up my scores in the Slash and Lou battles by a sizable amount (if anyone didn't know, battle scores *do* contribute to your career score). I know the reduxes didn't produce giant leaps and bounds, but it adds up pretty fast when you're improving many songs by 1-5k each.

Final Scores: 1st: Bongo Man - 191,166 2nd: SaidinWoT - 191,118 3rd: istolethepie - 173,482 Next Song: Hit Me With Your Best Shot Personally Bongo Man, I hate you now ;) I suck at squeezing anything, so my only advantage in this competition is on songs few other people are good at :(

^ That works on Expert, not on Hard. On Hard you still need at least one more attack to beat him.

I have progress! Top 175 on Xbox Live (Rank 174 as of posting) 608k on Number of the Beast (-10 run with stupid mistakes as well!) 545k on Before I Forget (-1 run!) 280k on Black Sunshine (-3 run... missed in the easy part :( ) 13.5m career score Probably something else I hadn't mentioned yet, but that's all that sticks out in my mind.

I can handle the competition for a while if you PM me with how long things are supposed to be and such. And for personal achievements from today: Top 300 on Xbox Live (Rank 288 as of posting) 500k on Before I Forget (very stupid mistakes means I could go farther) 500k on Number of the Beast (not so many things to fix here...) 300,007 on Cliffs of Dover (<3 this song - Got 300k literally at the last second) 579,985 on One (WHERE IS MY 580k?!?) 1m Co-op Achievement (Thanks to DarkDude98, who couldn't get the achievement himself for some reason :-s ) Yay progress :D

The Official BlogScape Index - RECOVERED!
I am currently working to bring the BlogScape Index back to its status before the deletion. Unfortunately some blogs have also gone missing due to the deletion - please, if you see one in the list, post about it and it will be marked or removed as needed. This project will take a bit of time, as my only resource is in HTML rather than BBCode.

Where's SaidinWoT? Weekly Tracking Reports
So not all that much this week. It was a very school-filled week, and thus what time I spent on RS was dedicated mostly to standing around or moving to new places to stand at. I did do some fishing, and got a level I had been incredibly far away from. Not much to fill everyone in with this week :( Summoning's being released next week, so that should make an interesting thing next Saturday! Might put more stuff in here tomorrow.

Development Diary Summoning - Part 4
My attempts at the anagrams: "Anger unseats bacteria" is most likely "Use granite crab as a net", implying you can use a 'granite crab' to catch fish. Edit: Meh, someone got this exact same thing earlier... "A gory, drying banshee" obviously has "angry", but I believe it also has "bees" (note that it starts with 'honey'), leaving "odryiganh" to be unscrambled if that's true... There's actually a second 'angry' in that, but it leave 'odih', which has no logical thing ("Oh, angry, angry bees", perhaps, but where does the "ID" go?). It could, of course, not have 'bees', and I could be going in the completely wrong direction, but perhaps someone can find something in there :)

Everyone really should Quest More! 8 Combat now :o
Thanks all, haven't had a chance to do anymore on Quest More as I've been playing SaidinWoT in my free time. Gradeskip, he told me he's not one to do celebrations. Knight, the lowest possible quest cape level is 85, due to the Dream Mentor quest - I have no choice as to how low I'll be.

Where's SaidinWoT? Weekly Tracking Reports
This will be the first Saturday blog update of 2008. Why is it special that it's a Saturday blog update? Could Saturday updates include fun competitions and cool prizes? Could they incorporate tips SaidinWoT has picked up while playing? Tidbits about the person behind SaidinWoT? [hide=The Answer!]Maybe! But not right now.[/hide] Since my blog collapsed and died last year due to inconsistent updates, I needed to find a way to keep it alive this year. The inconsistency of updates last year was a result of my attempt to consistently update, but lacking serious stuff to update people on. Thus, I have decided to release scheduled updates with all the wonderful details of the past week. This wonderful system will include an update every Saturday, regardless of whether there is actually anything interesting to put in my blog or not (wouldn't a week of pure fluff be enjoyable?). Other key features: * A new bank picture assembled every first of the month! * Quest guides posted whenever the heck I make them! * OFF-Saturday updates ( :ohnoes: ) for achievements of major note! Sadly, these posts won't be nearly as structured as the system made to keep them regular. So, without more blabbering on my part, the first post! The first week of January saw a lot of RuneScape, much provided by people who are not SaidinWoT. However, I did play quite a bit more than normal. My major activity of the week dealt with the creation of the quest guide for Dealing with Scabaras, a guide which commonly featured me spelling the enemy as 'Scarab___' and running around in my incredibly weak armor. The creation of this quest guide was fun, of course, as is the creation of any quest guide, but it came with a sad loss. SaidinWoT, the level 79 Quester, is no more. Tired of stopping quests just to avoid their reward, I allowed myself to level, and am now level 80. Summoning cannot come quickly enough to allow me to restore my level to a number ending in the proper '9'. The completion of Dealing with Scabaras meant I could finally finish up the other two quests I had left unfinished, so with a short chat with Oldak and a rather long and unhappy chat with Hazelmere, I finally closed off the Land of the Goblins and The Path of Glouphrie quests. Between these three quests, I gained four levels, though the game refused to give me congratulations on my Level 64 Strength (perhaps it realized how little I wanted the level): The other level was 64 Thieving, which is not absent because the game wouldn't give me a shot of it, rather there were two far more significant thieving-related achievements in the week. The quests had left me at 1599 total level, and I had nothing of significance I wanted to bring up for the 1600th total level. Then I realized I needed to plank my pile of oaks, and for that I would need dueling rings. I set out to mine the gold required to make these rings, but first I needed more emeralds - after only a few loads of valuable ore, my location rapidly changed to Rogue's Den, as I cracked safes for gems. Thus, 1600 total level was achieved with 65 Thieving (Lacking a momentous achievement, I like getting the 'major' levels with a multiple of 5 in a skill): Sadly, I have yet to achieve nearly enough emeralds for my planking. Happily, this means I'm still stuck cracking safes in Rogue's Den until I succeed. In my attempts to take as many gems from the Rogues as I can (it's not like they didn't steal them first), I have achieved two more thieving levels, leaving me at 67 Thieving at the time of this post: I set goals a few posts back, but now they are slightly edited (though the originals shall remain unaffected in that post). I am now aiming for a Thieving level of 70 through safecracking, though I am likely to have to go farther into RuneScape's only criminal skill to obtain enough emeralds. The mining goal of 75 still stands firmly in place. In the exceedingly long term, however, I will likely be attempting to get 99 Thieving off safecracking. Rough estimates would say that I would get 40k gems off this, which, after much work to collect the resources, would greatly benefit my Mining, Smithing, and Crafting skills as well :) That's all for this week - next week is the first week back to school, so don't expect great things coming from me too soon.

First goals of the year: Get to a total of 500 emeralds from safecracking Obtain more than enough gold to make jewelry from all my gems, or get level 75 mining off gold - whichever comes last All of this will go into making enough dueling rings to start my next major goal: planking my 132k oaks  ( Chessmastuh for gifting a ton of them to me for Christmas)

Where's SaidinWoT? Weekly Tracking Reports
2008 has arrived, so I had to come change the title of the blog... while I was here, I changed some more stuff, remaking the blog (though it looks pretty much the same) for the new year! New Years Resolution #23.5: Keep blogs updated! New stuffs include a nice new bank picture (with tons of lovely space at the bottom) and the stats I ended 2007 with - 73 total levels higher than what I ended 2006 with, I feel lazy.

Everyone really should Quest More! 8 Combat now :o
My one day break on Christmas didn't work out so well - it would seem Life remembered that it hadn't been pushing me around lately and felt like keeping me busy again. I got a few levels today, many thanks to Ard for being a very excellent slave: Thanks for all the support everyone :) I'm pushing to get as many reqs as I can before my winter break is over... hoping I can manage 900 more total levels in that time :uhh:

Everyone really should Quest More! 8 Combat now :o
I intended to do as well as I had the day before, yesterday, but I never returned after I logged out for some Christmas related stuffs. So 'only' 90 levels yesterday:

106 levels... in a single day?!? This person must have no life. He simply cannot have a life. In fact, I do have a life! I just put it on hold for a day, mostly. I did manage to bake a pie (random Christmas thing) and watch a movie, so I did something today... But yeah, 106 levels in only four skills. Leaving me 19 more to power level up relatively quickly (not that those 4 are anywhere close to slowing down). Many many thanks to Syzygy, who was a willing slave from morning to night, helping me to get lots of experience along the way. Ending Levels of today:
