  4. I have a side project, the account Quest More, on which I will [eventually] be redoing all the Quests and making all new quest guides. The blog about this account can be found here. This post will hold his current stats: http://sig.runeweb.net/sig/8/Quest%20More.png Sadly none are ranked high enough for that sig to pick them up, but it'll show them soon enough  And will house links to the quest guides: None yet!
  5. So 2007 is over, and I can no longer be tracked through it... it's simply not here for me to be in. New title, new start to the blog (the old one's still sitting down there in a hidden thing), and no new drive to become more uber. I guess I'll set a goal of getting more than the meager 73 levels I managed in 2007 :D 2008 Began With: Current Stats: http://hiscore.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/hiscorepersonal.ws?user1=SaidinWoT [hide=Goals]Immediate Who can have immediate goals in a time where time itself flees from him? 6. There is a hidden thread? You are simply trying to trick us. Stop your deceit and face ours!
  7. TET SHALL TRIUMPH! Your lowly plans to attempt to save Honest are foolish! Give them up and pay!
  8. I... I... I saw him walking away from the fishing spot to bank and he didn't return... I thought he had just gone to do something else, but... How can this have happened?!? TET needs a leader... Why did you do this, cruel kidnappers???
  9. Sorry for missing your party, I didn't mean to log on late  Big grats, and don't level your combat yet :o
  10. Edit: Ah, you're further in the quest than I thought, nevermind... The statement below, however, still applies: That being said, this is on a completely incorrect forum and this topic will be locked or moved shortly.
  11. Everyone should be equal, eh? Let's continue under the idea that every single player in the game should be considered equal in the eyes of Jagex. Here are a few scenarios: Person A joined the game before Person B? Person B hasn't had the same amount of time to train his skills as Person A! Quickly! We must reset all accounts so everyone can be equal! Person A played the game more intelligently than Person B? Person B is no longer equal! Quickly! We must either bring Person B's stats up to those of Person A, or we must bring Person A down to Person B's status! Person A got a new item which Person B has yet to procure? No, this cannot be! Person B has yet again been inconvenienced by Person A! Quickly! Eliminate the item Person A received because Person B doesn't have it. Person A has more time to play the game than Person B? How dare he use his extra time as an advantage! Quickly! Limit everyone to the same playing time per day (and force everyone to meet this amount of playing time, or we'll have to shorten it)! I could continue, but I think I've proven my point: you cannot consider everyone equal. There will always be a player who plays more intelligently, plays for a longer period of time, acheives more than another person. Saying that someone who has invested hours of time and plenty of effort to get an item should not be permitted to, simply because someone who does not wish to put forth this effort, is not an effective way to keep people playing this game. To tack on to this point, if we're going after making everyone equal, Jagex would have to eliminate all visible status symbols. Capes of Acheivement? Gone, they prove not everyone's equal. Multiple types of armour? Gone, they prove that not all people can equally afford items. Multiple versions of any single item (pick axes, hatchets, etc.)? Gone, everyone should be on an equal standpoint. The highscores? Gone, they also prove not everyone is equal. If we're going this far, we might as well destroy the ideas of people advancing levels, or even gaining experience, because every single experience point difference is further inequality. You cannot attack only rares as a status symbol, just because they are the most highly priced type. Every single higher-level variation of an item is a status symbol, and in order to treat everyone equally, one would have to eliminate all status symbols from the game. This is not viably possible, either from an ingame standpoint or a business standpoint. RuneScape is based on variable abilities; people play the game differently, and trying to claim equality in RuneScape would be like trying to claim that everyone is the exact same as each other - it simply is not true. Hurray for long-winded posts :)
  12. Though it's not the account I played Classic on (I killed that account when RS2 was released :o ), I still play Classic on Saidinwot... currently level 3 with 305 total (I have no intention to level combat anytime soon).
  13. 1522/79 = 19.27 Skills Just to take up a lot of space with percent experience: Combat Skills Melee (Attack + Defence + Strengh + Hitpoints): 10.2% Ranged: 2.4% Prayer: 0.7% Magic: 6.6% Slayer: 0.7% Total Combat Percent: 20.6% Non-Combat Skills Gathering (Woodcutting + Fishing + Mining): 17.7% Processing (Cooking + Fletching + Firemaking + Crafting + Smithing + Herblore + Farming + Runecraft): 49.3% :) Other (The Rest  ): 12.4% Total Non-Combat Percent: 79.4%

  15. Or we don't care about training combat and have different ideas than what you seem to think we all do. I never understood *why* they made PC how it is, safe, fast, and efficient. Nothing else in the game is all three of these at the same time. You can have fast and efficient training, but it's generally not safe. You can have safe and efficient training, but it isn't fast. Safe and fast training is generally inefficient, monetarily. And yet in PC, all three of these factors are present to an extreme. You CANNOT lose items, you DO NOT need food, you don't even need any armour or weapons (though it would be kind of hard to get the necessary damage in a fast game without one, probably), and you get the fastest exp in the entire game. Yes, people who are using the update to their advantage are smart in doing so (assuming they have the first mindset I described, not the second). Yes, it is a great method of training. Yes, I would quit the game before using it - but that's just me. I do agree with Trembake that it takes a lot of concentration to max out at PC, just like it would take a lot of concentration to solo 99 RC or get 99 mining. I just don't believe that a high level acheived through a method of training that is safe, fast, and efficient, no matter how mind-numbingly boring it is, is a real acheivement. I'm sorry to anyone who disagrees, this is my personal opinion.
  16. You're all nuburgers anyway. Grats on the level Blink :)
  17. Disclaimer: This post was written by a person who needs sleep. I didn't mean that "PC Products" should all be classified as the ones who wish to be respected for high levels, simply that the stereotype that has been applied to the "PC Product" has been directly caused by these people. I don't call people "PC Products"; when I encounter a high level who is quite clearly immature and/or unintelligent, I simply ignore them. I do not dislike PC for giving us these players, simply the idea of the game, however old-fashioned that may be :P But yes, the author was basing his post on the stereotype, which, as in the case of most stereotypes, does not fit many who belong to the group to which it applies.
  18. I'm one of those weird people who don't care how long something took as long as I feel that it is a true acheivement. I would not find getting a 99 without any risk at all a true acheivement, though I'm sure others would consider it to be. I would not consider a skill I bought my way through to be a true acheivement, but others do. Anyways, that's a side topic. I will admit that these so-called "Pest Control Products" are using the udpate to their advantage. However, I seriously doubt that very many of them think of it in the terms you've presented, Trip, that they will then have more time to do something else. From the number of them that have made it obvious that they PCed their way to a high level, it would appear that their mindset is "Everyone will see my combat level and automatically think I own them", or some variation on that idea. People who are using it for the purposeful reason of having extra time to do other things are the ones who are more likely to have knowledge of RuneScape in general, and would probably know something as simple as the location of West Ardougne. The ones with the mindset I described are the ones who are generally classed as "idiots" in topics such as this. So, while there are certainly people making use of the update in a way that betters them, there are far too many who are using it simply to gain a status they didn't properly build up. I think the quote in my signiature sums up your arguements though, Trip... and mine, in a sense.
  19. I only have the quest cape, and it rarely leaves my bank. It's not so much me being annoyed with people asking for the emote, I'm just doing stuff where having 99k sitting on my back is rather pointless/stupid. I have only asked to see an emote once, of a person wearing the Construction Cape, as I had never seen it. I asked politely (with proper grammar and spelling), and the wearer kindly showed it to me :) I guess if I were to have a cape of my own, that would be my policy... nice, polite requests get to see it, demands don't.
  20. My best time is 91 seconds, but I generally take 2-4 minutes. Took me forever to learn how to solve them :x
  21. You want tripsis to change her goals just so you have something different to say? :| Good luck with 91 RC and 99 Prayer, Tripsis, I'm trying for that first one too, but nowhere near you
  22. 1. RFD 2. Lunar Diplomacy :D 3. Acheivement Capes
  23. 1. Pure Essence - If we're allowed to vote multiple times for the same thing, I place all three of my votes here. 2. Pest Control 3. Lack of ways to raise construction without a house - This may be too long to put, and I doubt anyone else would put it, but it's rather hard to raise my construction homeless :x
