This is just a story I thought I would share with everyone, and something I think a lot of people need to learn. I would say that 65% of the people in Runescape are obsessed with having good items and having millions in cash. A lot of them are stubborn...don't usually respond to most players when they talk to them, keep private and public chat off. And I admit, I used to be like one of those people. A lot of the time, I would care about nothing but making money, and have Public Chat off most of the time. Then I took a month off from Runescape, because I wanted to try some other on-line games. And of course, like most people, I did come back to Runescape, but with a different mindset. I didn't care about having riches, or having the best items...I just wanted to sit back and enjoy the game. So I turned Public Chat on, and started playing again. And I was amazed how much more I enjoyed the game.... I mean, I never realized how much I like leveling skills like Fishing and Crafting. But most of all, I never realized the amazing people you can meet... For example, I was fishing (still am lol) lobbies at the Fishing Guild until 76 a couple days ago, and I met these two brothers that live in Portugal, and we talked for around half an hour before they both had to go. I admit, it was really interesting. I mean, we talked about a lot of stuff...I never realized how different the life of a 15 year old in Portugal is from me, a 15 year old in Arizona. The moral of my story is...sometimes the most precious thing isn't pixels...It's meeting people from around the world, and just enjoying the game.
