Thanks for all your replies. I think the idea that it is only a status to lower levels is true, but also I do think it is an amazing cape looks wise, and in that department, it is hard to beat.

Its a very good point to make, I suppose then it is a matter of preference, I think though, most people would argue that Slayer is absolutly superior to the fire cape, like myself. Why? I don't know :XD:

Thanks alot, guides do make it easier : Trix, your right when comparing skill capes to the fire cape, but I don't know what it is, but I kind of feel that in some cases, a fire cape is more origonal than a skill cape. I'm not saying taht the likes of 99 fletching and 99 cooking aren't great (seeing as I don't have them) but, those capes, in particular, are common I guess. *sighes* I don't know if I'll ever figure this one out :wall:

That you have the patience, money and the time to do it? I honestly don't know what status it did/does hold but personally, for me, its like a skill cape, only certain people can say they have one, its not something you can buy out of a shop, something that can't be merchanted, you have to earn it, or rather, your character has to.

Well I recently obtained the fire cape at 105 combat, and I'm very proud, in saying that, does it still hold the same status as when it came out? With people like Muggi getting the cape at such low combat levels, is the cape just another cape to cross off the list? You just defined the skill Farming, completly unintentionally, nice work :thumbsup: Farming is all those ONLY if you sit and wait at the patches for your crops to grow. If done in the more logical way of plant - go do something else - harvest, it can be one of the fastest and least boring to level. IMO Runecrafting fits the bill much better than farming. I did not say I didn't like Farming, infact, I love it, and those three reasons the author stated are exactly why I love it.

Its a sly way from Jagex to take more of your money, the more open-ended storylines, the longer you'll stay hoping for a new part to the quest. Want proof, how long have we been waiting for a sequal to Sheep Shearer? W27 Fally, riot, anyone?

Out of all the scammers, hackers, autoers, gold farmers, arrogant pures and theother 10 minllion "groups" in RS, you chose these people as the people you believe shouldn't play? :uhh: Looking at the big picture, technically everything in the world is a waste of time, because nothing anyone is done as efficiently as is humanly possible.

To be honest though, from now on, pking range using anything but a Dark Bow wont be honorable, seeing as you must use the most expensive equipment available.

Did you just range all the way through using black d hide or did you melee any rounds?

Ok: 1. They are gone. 2. No database failures in the last 2 years that we have been told about. Jagex don't give back items unfortunatly. 3.Agility raises the speed at which you regain energy. 4.Not as far as I know. 5. So many different storylines that you would be ok, quest series like Plaugue City etc require you to start and work your way through, so you keep track of the storyline. 6. If you don't openly say you use it, you should be fine. 7. (t) stands for trimmed, a light colour trim around the armour pieces, (g) stands for gold trimmed, a gold colour trim around the armour. They offer no extra bonuses, they are for looks only. 8. Barrow sets are the best set for fighting monsters, more can be found in tip.it on stats and prices. 9. New skills, alot of younger players, some graphical changes to certain areas, apart from that, its the same ol' runescape. Add me if you got any other queries.
