When will people stop blithering about the bill of rights.... Do you feel all nice and safe because theres some words on a bit of paper saying what you're allowed to do? Free speech is a myth. It never did exist and never will. Try proclaiming the benefits of terrorism and how to build your own pipe bombs or suggest that America should sign the kyoto agreement to cut down on pollution in Times Square and I'll stand by with a stopwatch and see how long you last.
  2. Actually you can 8) Its also illegal and not meant to be discussed around here
  3. Its within all the limits. Cut out what the admin put in and stick your sig back Nice picture btw
  4. See what it looks like without the vertical line. Maybe turn it into a helmet design :)
  5. Heres the trials for all their programs including photoshop: http://www.adobe.com/products/tryadobe/main.jsp#product=39
  6. Hm..... *Buys a digital camera, sets it to take 1 picture every 2 seconds then goes for a drive with it tied to the roof* *gets back home, uploads them all* *does it for a week* *bank account explodes* YAY! :D I think mercifull is encouraging people to spam by changing the wording of his sig :P
  7. Simplistic is one thing. A blob of colour attacked by special movement effects is another. Its way too plain.
  8. Nothing wrong with having a rant at someone every now and again :P Tttia and Nadril have too much time on their hands to write all that
  9. Sweet :D And he even managed to mash it into a tip-it sized sig!
  10. Oh and another thing.... Its EASY to chuck a few special effects at a picture or generate a freaky looking abstract, chop it into a sig shape, add a border, maybe a nice font or so or even get a couple of frames to blend into each other with the automated animation tools..... Hell, I think mines nice and its completely special effects but it didn't take much effort and only a little bit of imagination, but I find it disgracefully difficult to make a decent looking pixel (I blame my mouse) and I admire those that can make one which looks good. Yes there are some dodgy looking ones as in all things but theres nothing wrong with cartoon-ish style sigs. I'm typing way too much in reply for this but I've got pins and needles in my foot for some reason and I need to vent my frustration.....
  11. Don't hide behind a new 1 post account if you want to say something. Or if you are new then hang around and find out.
  12. Ok.... This is the toolbar: 5th button along selects an area of the same colour e.g. if you draw a black outline of a box and click with this tool inside it it'll select the white space inside it. Now whatever you do will only happen to that area. Then get the gradient tool and drag it across the selected area with whatever gradient. Doesnt matter if you drag the gradient line from outside the selected area because it will only put the gradient on the selected area. To unselect the area to be able to work on the rest of the picture go to edit and click on select none.
  13. :o Impressively similar to the original
  14. I don't like the way they removed the little mini-windowed thing where you could see a list of all the layers and edit each one from it.... Makes manual animation more difficult :? Confined space? Do you mean selecting a particular area to put a gradient in or just a small space that you want to put it in?
  15. No... It looks like a red pen which got held over a flame until the end of it melted to one side
  16. I personally find the original gimp easier to work with.... Not entirely sure what you meant by help but if you really must then zoom in with the + button and use the single pixel brush on pencil mode.
  17. Way too much empty space in there.... By empty I mean there are large areas of plain colour with no texture, just putting dark lines across it does not hide the fact its still a big block of colour. Give it more detail or do a closer shot of the character and give him more detail. Text is moderately unreadable. Use two colours, one light and one dark one for the outside and one for the inside of each individual letter so it stands out. Character is probably the best part of it, try doing the rest of it in the same way. By that I mean don't use so many straight lines, make the planks of the building uneven and give them darkened edges and shading to emphasise the fact. Glass is transparent not light blue. Show the interior of the building through the glass and have patches of white or semi-transparent whiteness following the angle of the glass to look like light glare. I'm probably going into too much detail but I hope it helps. Don't like pricing much but I'd say it would probably go for up to 20k as prices go around here.
  18. I don't think photo-type pictures go well with abstract-type backgrounds. The styles clash. Archer is in a nice pose but isn't actually aiming at anything that we can see.... which makes you wonder why the bow's been drawn.... The name and website have to be concentrated on to read as they have no contrast with their surrounding and where the black outline fades too much the lettering is hard to distinguish. All in all its frustrating to the eye, with no theme to think about.... Take the archer to an outdoor scene which matches the style shes portrayed in, give her a target and make the words more readable.
  19. Downloading the Gimp just for compressing an image is a bit much :P Using a sledgehammer to squash an ant  Etrosoft has a free image converter, http://www.etrusoft.com/ It also has a batch image converting ability. Add the files you want converted, go to settings and set what you want them to come out as (jpg at 100%) and click start.
  20. :) Had two gerbils Cute little fluffy things..... Bubble and Squeak  RIP
  21. ...suppose it looks real enough  But just erasing a couple of numbers and copying and pasting in 99's isn't too hard.... Try faking a picture
  22. Only one niggle to niggle at which has already been mentioned a few times.... girls profile Can't fault the rest :o
  23. Weeeelll..... since her expression seems to demand it, stick a suggestive comment in there

I don't like "who's the best" posts because they go on forever..... ....and they're pointless.... Rename the thread "Popular artist appreciation thread" and I'll see a point. I know whose art I like and I've usually said so on their threads, don't see the need to drag on a thread with identical opinions. (check the names that come up each time... yup pretty similar for 9 pages) [/cynical mood] Back to my crayon drawings....
  25. I should've tried that. It still works. get an inventory of wine, drink til attack is under 8 then train on dummies. Attack goes up. Nothing else
