  1. You kidding me? Supertramp's one of my favorite bands...I wouldn't consider it an overstatement even to say that i'd consider their lyrics the best i've heard. Their music is also amazing, thought some of the sax solo's I could do without. Both of their vocalists add greatly to the music...and the only thing that's bad about them imo is the lack of much guitar in many of their songs. Back on topic, yea, bad cover. Why doesn't the modern music industry just do away with covers completely? Maybe then kids would realize how crappy the music is if all the stuff were original.
  2. Honestly, I'll try all three. I currently have a 360 and a Wii, both of which are very fun and, imo, (espescially the Wii) have only a few actual buyable games. To me, the 360 was a big let-down after I bought it (around a year ago). Mediocre games at the time didn't help much, but I'll admit that playing CoD2 with some friends online was a good time. Now, onto the PS3. It's an amazing system, and what most people don't seem to get are the long-term capabilities of it. Do you guys remember what some of the launch games on the PS2 looked like? Almost comparable to latter PS1 games. I'm not saying that graphics are all that important to me, but to many, they are. Of course Gears of War had better graphics than any other game, it's on a next-gen system that's been out for A YEAR! Devs have had plenty of time to work with the 360, and find out the capabilities of it (or, at least, the capabilities of it so far). I expect this to happen with the PS3, and when it does, the graphics will be the best ever. I mean, hasn't anyone seen the previews for the two PS3 FFXIII's? AMAZING! And the gameplay also looks very original, very new, and very awesome. Onto gameplay. Many say "Oh, the PS3 controller didn't change at all, it's still the same old DualShock2 with a different name on it." But, tell me, how much did the 360 controller change? I'd say the PS3 controller, compared to the 360 controller, changed even more so. The tilt sensor may seem a little lame, but for simple gameplay mechanics for small actions such as leaning around corners, strafing, or even rolling would make a great addition to any game. The PS3 gives you so much more for your money, it's hardly worth discussing. Look, I love my 360, I love my Wii, but I can't deny that i'm extremely excited to get a PS3. Oh, and one more thing. Many people gripe over the huge cost of the PS3 due to Blu-Ray. Go buy a 360 and the add-on HD-DVD player. How much does that bring you up to?
  3. Why would you want to put 95 on there? There're much better things you could do in terms of "h4xing ur firmware", such as actualy custom firmware :anxious: . I'm assuming you've already used emulators, but depending on what your FW is, you could make it much easier and be able to run many more apps on it by upgrading it to something like 3.10 OE-A (which is what I have).
  4. Well, if you haven't seen it already, I have some very bad news for you. http://music.yahoo.com/read/news/40689307 Yes, Brad Delp, the lead vocalist of Boston, died at the age of 55. One of the best vocalists in rock history, imo. I was hoping i'd get to see them live sometime...doesn't look like it now though. :( Crap, this is depressing. Any thoughts?
  5. If you mean free as in download-able free, I've never played the game "Warrock" everyone's talkin about, but it sounds like it might be ok. If you mean free as in no monthly fees (I can't think of any that have a monthly fee, so this probably isn't what you mean, but eh) then I'd reccomend Counter Strike. 1.6 or Source, they're both alot of fun, but deffinitely differ from each other. Source only costs $20 to buy, then after that it's free, and i'm not sure how much 1.6 costs now.
  6. In terms of best memories of actually playing the game, probably Final Fantasy VII. I know it's kinda a cliche answer, but it really is the game I have most memories from. I listen to the soundtrack alot and it brings back memories of points in the game I remember the most. I replay it alot...mostly I just play my old files, but sometimes during the summer I actually replay the entire game, it's better every time. Although, in terms of the most memories playing with other people, deffinitely Super Smash Bros. Melee or Mario Kart DD. I owned everyone in both, of course. \
  7. I bought a 360 and I can barely stand Halo 2. IMO it sucks. I do like Halo 1, however, and I didn't have an Xbox so my 360 is how I could play Halo 1. Anyways, I most likely won't be buying Halo 3 until it's $30-$40. Also, the PS3 will have many good games that are exclusives...and also, those games won't be EXCLUSIVE TO Xbox, they will be for both. Get it straight. Besides, Computer FPS ftw.
  8. I played MH on the PS2 like, the whole summer in 05, that game was so freakin awesome...i haven't played it much since, and I didn't buy Freedom. I didn't know whether to buy it in fear that it might let me down. I may buy this second one though...depends on what it has to offer  .
  9. GordanFreeman replied to Korla's topic in Off-Topic
Yea, Super Mario RPG, Super Mario Allstars+World, Chrono Trigger...and, it won't feel the same as the SNES controller, but just buy a PSP and download an Emulator, there's plenty of sites where you can get these games...that's what I did, at least. :-$
  10. I don't think it's fair to say that all horror movies that have been made in/around the present are horrible, but not many will actually scare you. I think that many horror directors focus much more on the "quick scare" that a guy with a huge axe/chainsaw popping out from the dark corner while the two teenagers are making out might give the teenagers that actually pay to go see these horror movies, instead of focusing on what would really scare you: how the characters develop, the plot, and the story. I'd say they also probably focus way too much on the special effects. Special effects and quick scares can be great in horror movies, but not when the plot, storyline, and characters suck.
  11. Supertramp- Hide in Your Shell
  12. Yes- South Side of the Sky
  13. No, it isn't the same thing. It's worse. It looks like a piece of junk to me, and homebrew is awesome on my PSP and iPod. And, as someone mentioned before, it's hardware...not software. Ok, PSP, but iPod?! I think I may have heard of something like that before, but I think it was faked. As some people said, you could do a lot of h4xing on this. Hahaha, faked? Have you never heard of iPod linux? Do some research  . http://www.ipodlinux.org I mean, it's not going to be near as good as on my PSP, but at least when I don't have my PSP with me and I don't feel like listening to music I have Doom :P .
  14. Right, so we're supposed to know what YOU are talking about when you spell almost every other word wrong? You probably need to take some advice from that English teacher or something, seriously, grammar and spelling count on the internet the same as using abbreviations only when needed do. Anyways, if anything, abbreviations like "lol" and "brb" have become pointless because they're so overused. They've become meaningless because people actually don't put any meaning into them when they say it. I mean sure, they could type "lol" in a game, and be sitting there with a frown on their face. It's things like that that really make them pointless, not using them in real life (which I have no objection to...my friends say "lawl" and "rawful" (pronounced the way that i've just spelled them) in real life jokingly). Type 'em if you mean 'em guys!
  15. No, it isn't the same thing. It's worse. It looks like a piece of junk to me, and homebrew is awesome on my PSP and iPod. And, as someone mentioned before, it's hardware...not software.
  16. Where is it in the vid...as in, what point in time? I'd love to see what you're talking about. That WOULD be amazing! Actually, just having the game in my hands will be amazing, not matter what system it's for.
  17. Jethro Tull-Wind Up
  18. Well then, you must also admit that the PS3 is an amazing console, same as the Wii. The only reason people bash it so much is for the price and for the lack of good games. Both of those, it seems, will be fixed by next year. So no more "T3h P53 suckz0rz cuz 1ts 600 do114rz0rz and n0 g00d g4m3s." Sony's planning a price cut, and look at the games: MGS4, FFXIII, FF Versus XIII, and many more. I love the Wii, but I wouldn't ever choose one over the other. Anyways, the most important aspects of a game to me are gameplay, the music throughout the game, graphics, originallity (to some extent), and replayability. Also, minigames and secrets in an adventure/RPG game make a game a whole lot better. Best example is chocobos in FFVII and FFIX \ .
  19. Haha, is this a copy of the thread in the music forum "What song did you last listen to"? Well, anyways, FFX-2.
  20. What is that? Where Sephiroth kills Aeris and Cloud arrives just too late. Its in the scene where Aeris is praying for the Holy For me it would be the Macalania Spring scene in FFX. Definitely. One of my favorite scenes of all time...also, at the end of FFX when Tidus is....crap, that'd be a spoiler. Anyways, the whole scene gave me goosebumps. Haha, also, at the end of Duke Nukem 3D when Duke's just defeated the Alien Queen they did, like, Clay Animation :P and he says a few words that I can't say here. And in FFVIII, the scene in the experiment place right after Squall and Rinoa have gotten off of Ragnarok from space and they all go into rescue her, then he cuts all of the stuff that's holding her in and she just kind of falls into his arms...that's a sweet scene. RPG's have the best scenes. My favorite, though, would probably have to be when Aerith dies. Epic and sad.
  21. Of course it won't happen. I would hope that most people in America would believe that something like that was morally wrong...of course, if it did come that there were going to be a 1 or 2 child limit, the people wouldn't have much input on it. But, eh, the government count as people in America too, of course. Also, what's the point of these political topics? Do you all really think that your opinions matter? Espescially on some forum? It's not like the government will be watching some forum based off of an MMORPG, or any forums for that matter. Eh, I'll just ignore these from now on.
  22. Videogames, friends, and drawing all make me happy...but there are too many things that make me unhappy. It's uneven. Oh well, I get alot of what makes me happy! Oh, and music of course. 60s-early 80s ftw.
  23. Yea, Cream's sweet...Crossroads ftw. Anyways, Led Zeppelin-Black Dog, Stairway, Over the Hills and Far Away are my favorites...Boston, another great band, songs like More than a Feeling, Foreplay/Long Time, Peace of Mind, Smokin'...Queen: Bohemian Rhapsody, Another one bites the dust, pretty much the whole Night at the Opera album is amazing. Also, bands like Kansas (for Carry on Wayward Son, Dust in the Wind, The Wall, Point of Know Return, Child of Innocence) and Yes (Roundabout, Owner of a Lonely Heart, Into the Lens, Heart of the Sunrise) are probably more of aquired taste, but you can't help to admire the musicianship in them even if you don't like the sound (but I, personally, love them). My favorites from Deep Purple are songs like Lazy, Child in Time, Fireball, Highway Star, Burn, Smoke on the Water (duh). There are way too many other bands to name, but i'd say this'll give you a good idea of some good bands, don't just pay attention to the songs but the bands in general. Oh, also Rush is an amazing band.
