  1. FIFA 2004 & Dangerous Dave (some old MS-Dos game)
  2. I do not believe in faith healing. Faith is based on trust in God, not on miracles.
  3. Kayne West - stronger
  4. I always looked up to you, one of the admins I deeply respect. You'll be missed. Respect.
  5. Oh dear, no reason for me to play again then. A huge congratz to him!
  6. From what I know, tip.it has still more than enough people who are active high staff members of the big clans. Also, I am in favour of about 5 moderators who are high ranked people in clans such as DI, The, Corr, EH, ... The main problem of people who aren't active in DI for example, is that they don't have a good feeling about when a topic could turn out ok from flaming. It's always an almost instant lock when somebody says something bad about someone else. Logical, from the view of moderator, but unlogical from the view of people in clans. Really bad -harassing- flaming shouldn't be tolerated, but when somebody says (example) ' Clan X is really inactive ' and members of that clan start to defend it it shouldn't be locked. It's a dull example, but the last mods that are assigned to moderate CD aren't capable to feel that.
  7. 1. don't overuse emoticons, makes you look stupid 2. don't bump a topic which hasn't had a post for 1 month
  8. Agreed, but that doesn't mean that Bufoman didn't do a good job. Because he did.
  9. Nice job, nice seeing something from you again.
  10. Who are you speaking to? to the people who are sucking up, like telling that their post count isn't a resemblance of the activness or that they always post mature.
  11. Ok, you don't have to suck up too obvious eh.
  12. The simpsons movie. And I hardly liked it, except the part where Homer uses snowdogs, that was funny.
  13. explain me the next thing, why some people who were hired to think about solutions towards the clan board didn't even get the chance to discuss these new mods about. gah, you've let me down again tip it. I am deeply dissapointed.
  14. There has been too many broad-spectrum moderators and not enough moderators who are experienced in a given field. It's been like this for almost a year now. Sure, general and H&A is moderated well, but there are other sections that are now lifeless because of the lack of efficient staff. Graveyard is dull, the RSC forum has suffered since Vmser moved on and Forum Games has been neglected since Jak left. But I don't see how this new breed of application-moderators is going to remedy this. If a user has good ability, then they should have been spotted by staff already. This recruitment drive just makes TIF look desperate. When I said masses, I meant 15 new mods monthly. I know of how certain forums are neglected, but not forgotten. The mod trainee's could be stationed in the 'neglected forums', or global mods being told to check daily each forum, or so. This imo, doesn't make Tip.It look desperate, if it works, and everything goes well, then this recruitment drive could be a new way to recruit mods, or certain oriented staff. With all of respect, but to moderate graveyard and clan boards you need more then qualities. You need to be known. If a user named pure pker004 is a mod, everybody thinks fine let him be it. But if you got for example the DI warlord, a THE high council or something, people say eh! He has got experience, he can know it. It could be smart to bring in such people, and not trainees.
  15. Yes, thats quite ironic. "Show your interest and submit an application, show your intrest any further and be denied". As one of the TET leaders, I have dealt with TET applications. That process have worked similar to this one, so I have a fair idea of what amount of work it takes. I would guess each of us spent a total of an hour on each application - these might easily require more time. If 50 applicants PMs us once a week, we'd get nothing done or we'd have people upset because we don't reply. I am pretty sure the amount of people interested in becoming moderators is a lot bigger than the number of TET applicants, maybe several hundreds. We already know they're interested, otherwise they wouldn't be bothered to spend time on filling out the application. :) If people have general questions, they can ask them on this thread - that's why it's here. Short version is: The less time the Admins spend to reply to curious PM's (sometimes quite pushy PMs), the less time it takes before they can send their replies to the interested users. Bobbington replied very well on the other point. Laikrob My point is that some admins and some mods around here really feel better then the users, and let it notice quite clearly.
  16. I don't got spyware, and if I do it's because of the ads of tip it who link to keyloggers. :-w
  17. I'll give my views on this "new" way of going: 1. I've said it elsewere, and I say it again. Why the hell is it of big importance what kind of PC you got? I'll tell you, I have windows 98, no firewall, no virus scan even and I have not got ANY virus, popups etc. in 8 years. How does it come? I don't visit sites and don't download things that aren't thrustable. And that, ladies and gentleman is important instead of what operation system you have. For all the people who will pick on this, I am not applying but I just find it ridiculous that the computer you have matters in applications. 2. Tip it wants more traffic, and then some staff members are overreacting over people who are interested in knowing how it goes with their application. I'd say, people who SHOW interest should be rewarded. But meh.
  18. The saga that RSClassic will be closed has been going since the close of F2P in 2005, and it won't stop until JAGeX takes a final decision about it.
  19. Autoers had disadvantages, but also advantages. If a person has a lot of rune sets, he/she won't run out but fight until death. I'd say no to bringing back the free version for everyone, but maybe for the users who have logged in on RSC before the shutdown of f2p in 2004. Otherwise classic will be packed with RS2 nubs who say "wow the graphics suck! "
  20. RuneScape is packed with kids. I have nothing against kids, but I loved RuneScape because of it's maturity in the early (classic) days. People didn't cry when they died, they worked their way back up. Now, even tip.it is flooded with whiners & crybabies, check out rants boards where kids still make topic about items lost in wilderness. Also, the fact that there is this "huge" honour & no honour debate means that clans have nothing to do these days, instead of working on becoming stronger they prefer to cry over the fact that people used prayer in a certain zone of the wilderness. Wilderness is there to kill, if you enter it be prepared.
  21. It's simple. If you still fall for that scam, after all the warnings, after the various warnings of JAGeX on THEIR WEBSITE ON NEWS AND UPDATES, you should just learn the lesson and read the updates. People who refuse that and still fall for it, pft. Don't punish 3k+ users with it who wanna share their MSN with others.
  22. [bleep] lol. Are you serious? Just buy the calculator they advice, I can guarantee if you buy a TI 89 or w/e people are saying here you will have a reputation from day 1. Enjoy your holiday, and don't worry about calculators. :
