  1. It cost 750 billion, which was most of the person's who idea it was' money...Anywho, since it effected everyone, rather than one person, and no one developed a defence against it. People also spent time researching it so... Anyway, DOSing was one part of it, targetted at the Internet Exchange Points, you would then launch a worm or something IDK...
  2. Hehe, ok. If people are still around I will run an intro session(had to pick up mum and dad from holiday)
  3. Nope, only Sere turned up, and paul much later, so we all went an played Haven and Hearth...we have set up Falador and now its just a matter of getting more people involved.
  4. Ok then. Practically endgame so lets go rolling. The war opened with the detonation of a car carrying a new Fusion Cell Bomb, on the Kazhika border as it was being investigated. The bomb, however, survived the explosion. With tensions running high India deployed its high seas fleet around its new protectorates, which engaged the huge transport fleet heading towards it and thin contingant of escorts, annhilating over half of the invading force. With confirmation that France was involved in the war, the Darwinians blew up Britian using bombs placed there from before. Effectively wiping 500 billion off of France's IAG and Treasury instantly. In addition to this the internet imploded under a massive barrage of DOS attacks, thus crippling the world's economy and destroying all research conducted this decade. The real war then began. Two hundred and ninty nine Fusion Cell Car Bombs were detonated in Kahzika and India, creating huge disarray and panic, as well as killing 2 million troops overall. Russian, French and Byzantian troops met with fierce resistance in East and West India. The 1.5 million Byzantian troops were ground against the 2.5 million troops in the west, while the 1.5 million French troops in the east were forced back by 2 million troops in the east, effectively leaving India intact. The counter attack was then signalled and 5 million Indian troops spewed into China, decimating the lack of defencive force. Russian and Greek attacks into Kahzakia were somewhat more successful, although India did send 1 million troops to assist. However, against 3.75 million troops, this small brigade only served to prevent the destruction of the nation. The war has been notable in that, of the 350 kilotonnes of nukes fired, only 25 actually made it through, though their effects were still quite devestating. It was also the first war in which space based weapons were used, on both sides, which may have been more decisive, if not for the deployment of anti-satalite weapons on both sides, effectively destroyed every satalite currently in space. Particularly adept at this task was India, which adopted a 'If it bleeps, kill it' strategy. This has also destroyed infrastructure on a global scale. People will be happy to know that the United Nations was blown up in an unrelated incident. 5. Actually the agreement between France and Britian was to keep the IAG the same.
  6. Ah, thats fair enough. Ok. Ross, Sere and Mather get their land back.
  7. Because?
  8. Actually they have just ceeded control to Ico for the time being...
  9. The International Bureau of New Reporters has been sued.
  10. Hosting as soon as Hegemony stuff is updated.
  11. But this is an emergancy! Anyway, with the massive speed bump in the way, I think the weekends only idea is off the table.
  12. Ok then. I am gonna head off soon, so people post a one sentence summery of their ideas for a poll and I will add them later tonight.
  13. Well, my plan was to just award XP as a group, rather than individiuals. There would be a modifer based on the stats they have though...People who started with 91(Total of Str, dex and such) would recieve a smaller percentage than people with the 75 norm. Loot splits can be done by appointing a loot keeper, preferably someone with high strength so they can carry everything. Then, at the end of quests, you head to a nearby tavern a divide it up. Anyway, splitting things into Hack and Slash Verses Story mode, is gonna get confusing...if people want to steam ahead with a quest, even though certain people arn't there, then they should be able to, but there should also be the choice of being able to back out and go training, even if everyone is there.
  14. Of course.
  15. India has fired microwaves into space, cooking a satalite that was overhead. India has also asked if the satalite belonged to any well known companies...
  16. =) Well, lets take tonight off, we can have another session tommrow, then it will be Friday-Sunday. I am more in favour of the '10 till everyone goes offline' system. So...Lets merge. Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday are game days. Gives us three days off per week, and means that everyone will be on for 6 hours a week. I have also been thinking of implementig a sub-quest system. If Grindstone is saved then I will populate it with people and then people can interact within it, setting various quests and such which will all take place on the local map.
  17. Either Grim and Paul have to be kicked off, or Ross, Earth, Mather and Retech need to be kicked off. The other alternative is to run two seperate sessions, which isn't gonna happen. One of those damned if you do, damned if you don't, type of things. The two timezones seem to be 10-12:30, verses 12:00 to 03:30. At best we can get half an hour of overlap, at worse we will waste the time we have waiting for people. If anyone has any ideas then please say =)
  18. Belonging to this world, this time and this level(in terms of spiritial levels). Seemingly. Better song for the alliance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTEpiFcn0wI The current version sounds awfully like (Which is less damning than where the music is actually from =P)
  19. Note to anyone and everyone. Building a maptools version of Dungeoneering! I am gonna leave it hosting(So people can build it) whenever I can(Which will be any time I am not doing Avernum), so feel free to pop along and put up some buildings, create a couple of NPCs, whatever you want, its our game. Same pass and address, but this one will get you to GM mode rather than player.
  20. Britian...And...Ireland  No, there are more countries in the union, its pretty large actually.
  21. We all did, but he was too powerful to be allowed to live
  22. Right. Well. The band started out with another attack on the evil trash monsters After almost getting hit by a grate, Ross decided to lead an expedious retreat. After retreating the band try to work out what was odd about the well, but failed. Then explored a house and Earth found a bag of Gold coins! But Ross was ambushed by a member of the Dragon Below, an EYEBLADE! However Ross and Retech managed to talk him down, before stabbing him. The fight turned bad when a bear, seemingly kennalled in a nearby house, attacked! Fortunately Earth had managed to find the Wizard, Tim, who was able to save the day. As Tim explained the situation many of the members settled down to sleep. Meaning that very few were able to arrive at the cave, where they were outnumbered. Tim, though powerful, could not save the team without sacrifice. Thus summoned a huge wall of Iron, which crushed him, but also three of the attackers. The final attacker was dispatched and the team settled down after mining some crystal.
  23. Nex, you should join in Avernum if if you are bored
  24. We...You know how I am...I trust people not to abuse my trust =)
