We did it crashed(both for the modless system and the other moderator system) Anyway, nothing stops someone else starting on...its just someone being willing to do it.

Hegemony stopped because for the past....however many months...I have taken, at max, 3 days off a month, usually 1 or none. So I am taking a 2 week break(and in the tradition of Mum I had turned up practically everyday for some reason or another)

Yeah, thats true...But I would only trust that as far as your ability to become gay. Its possible, anything is possible, but the circumstances would have to be exactly right... Don't give up, but don't believe that it is inevitable either.

Ah yes, man's solution to all of life's problems...Beat someone up. Doomed to failure and is likely to screw the relationship(Friends or whatever) with you entirely. Best case scenario she folds and settles with you because you beat up everyone that isn't you and she poisons you because she hates you. Worst case, you are arrested and she hates you... Medium case, she hates you and moves. You could change to someone she doesn't know and respect as a friend. All you need is a mallet and the knowledge of where to hit to induce amnesia...though if that is your plan you might as well just convince her you were going out as soon as she comes round and never introduce her to a woman, less she realises that she would prefer the most terrible woman to the very best man... Kidnapping her also works, though that is illegal as well as immoral... Seriously, some people are just not into you, it sucks, we move on(or in my case we don't because there is no point and we just learn to accept it). I would be careful about Facebook...Someone could have done it as a prank(Believe me I have seen it before), so don't freak out until it is confirmed.

Ok then. Lets work out an economy. I am happy to be the farmer and gatherer. I will collect herbs and such as well as farming whatever is needed. I need a lumberjack to provide me with crates to store the produce so that we can stockpile it somewhere. I also need people to buy the produce, so I need to know what people need. If everyone can identify what they do, what they need and what they can provide then we can build an economy and begin trading in a more orderly manner.

I also have a bunch of clay left over that I am holding for you until you get a wall because it is level 60 odd quality, which is, apparently, what they use to make the best forges because it creates high quality metals....seems a bit wasteful to use it on building kilns and such...also people were talking about taking it and selling it so... Also I couldn't find any blueberries when I looked, so they were probably stolen.

Sigh...people are idiots. Her being a Lesbian is GREAT news. She can Love you, without wanting to have Sex with you. Granted her being sexually attracted to you would probably be better news...but on balance it is better than 'Hey, I am attracted to other guys, but not you...there is just something about you that makes me think 'Nah'.' My situation is far worse...Fall in love with a straight person, find out they are bi, find out they are almost wholely gay, and at no point along the line do they find you attractive. The point is that life goes on. Its not about finding another fish to fry, its about accepting your meal in life and enjoying it the best you can...I hear about the guy's he has had sex with(from him) and I accept that that list is never going to include me, but those guys make him happy. I think we should keep DND in our minds, but HH is just easier to play and still holds a lot of excitement for people. How do people feel about a space roleplay? The tale is that three or more captains have been dispatched to a testing facility deep within Alliance space. They have been travelling for some weeks and when they arrive they find the station devestated, clearly something is going on, but they do not have enough fuel to get back home immediately(The station was supposed to provide). If there are any Hyperwave messages from Earth they will arrive a few weeks after they were sent. The ships they have are entirely experimental, so they can be tailored to what people want. The aim of the game will be similar to Hegemony, in the first instance, control of the station and the two planets in system is pretty key. Once control has been settled it would be a game of wits, trying to get more resources, drum up more support from Alien planets(Or, in Faladorian style, enslaving Alien planets) so that the fight can finally be taken to the Hierarchy, destroying it and liberating Earth. Or enslaving it, or whatever. Any thoughts?

I am not sure how they take up 8...I assume 2 high and 4 long...Anyway, if you have a backpack you have 24 slots, so you can have 8 occupied and then extract without dropping anything.

Probably the most interesting Hegemony game would be a real time version. However that would need a real time map, which would mean defences and attacks would have to be merged onto one map, rather than all being seperate. Paul was thinking about using maptools to do that...Essentially creating a game world and letting it play out. Only issue is that someone could be attacked when they were not online and thus not defend themselves, which brings us back to turn based games... So I would propose a maptools based version, hosted by someone on a permenent basis. Game is saved every 4 hours, which is the start of every new 'turn'. Short of that...lets go back to Hegemony 1. We trust people to do things themselves and have no moderator. If people want to screw around with things then fine, let them. Alternative proposition 3 would be to restore My Hegemony back to how it was whenever I decided to start my 2 week break, and just carry on. 4, we could continue my Hegemony from 30 or 40 years in the future of when I stopped. Earth has been divided up during the 'last great war' and the tenative peace has held long enough for colonisation of the rest of the system to begin. People submit plans of what they want to have happened during the inter rim and I create a map based on that. FTL is scrapped from the near future. 5, we do one of the last two plans with a change to the IAG system. Rather than have infrastructure come along and annoy everyone, there is simply a random number(1-100) picked every 10 years. You also pick a random number. The random number indicates perfect growth, increasing your economy by 50%, but if you are more than 10(either side) out you lose money. If people all pick the same or similar numbers then the zone is increased by 3 per person. 6, Medieval Hegemony. Money pretty much goes out the window. Instead there are resource points, metal, coal, whatever, whatever and population. If you control 1 resource point then you have limitless supply of that resource. Everyone starts out with 2 cities which they can randomly place anywhere on the map. Cities produce 50,000 people(each) every 10 years. Towns produce 10,000 people every 10 years. 50,000 people can form a new town and 10,000 people can form an army/navy/airforce. It takes 200,000 people to turn a town into a city. Armies are stationed within certain areas which should be decided when your form them. Random events include resources drying up, new resources being discovered, plagues, diseases and such. Research is done 1 project per city. You can half the time a project takes by having two cities working on it, and so on and so forth. You don't need any science behind it, just the resources to build the armour/weapons/whatever. Research time is decided arbitrarily. 7, we restart Hegemony using my rules and try again now that everyone has had a trial run. (whatever is decided I am away for however long I have left.)

In my experiance...both genders are just as bad as the other. Though, occassionally, you find someone awesome, and they turn out to be a good friend and so its better not to act on the feelings. Doubtless if people were less afraid of homosexuality there would be alot less friends.
