The mars base is about 1.5 times the size....However Madagascar has three cities...The Mars base has none...I know which one I would choose.

Adventures in Avernum
Don't worry, the strange roleplay people have gone away now. Anywho. After fighting off a band of innocent elves on the road to Grindstone, the band were met by a strange emptiness of the village. As the band explored the tavern, which mysteriously had lost all of its walls, they found Martyn, a traveller from they don't know where... After a brief conversation the team decided it was better to kill Martyn because he wouldn't lead them to the next area. Martyn escape through a trap door and has disappeared from view. The band then explored the mayoral house, discovering a vault behind a magical barrier(which they couldn't get into), as well as a map of a secret tunnel to the mines. After that the band headed north to the Prison, where they discovered two massive trash monsters, who almost killed the group. While the rest of the band retreated, Grim remains unconscience and needs healing as soon as possible.

Yes...that seems likely...There isn't space, there is space and then there isn't space again. Thats far more likely than there being space. [/Occam's Razor]

Hegemony
Hmmm, of course, if people clubbed together...and Space exploration is still pretty expensive, even for Grim...he is spending a whole decade's worth of cash building his ship.
-
Hegemony
Indeed, that is what I meant...wait a while and come back to it in 50 years...You have already completed the time stuff, you just need the cash.
-
Hegemony
Ico, just hang fire for a while, ok  Right now it will take 300 years, but who knows what the next 50 years is gonna hold.

Dungeons & Dragons
Nah, if we keep two seperate threads then we can keep things from confuzzingly people.

The space elevator is also an immense theoretical and design challange...really it needs a 40 year tech to build. Sides, 70% is a massive cash break for you. Essentially cuts 560 billion off of the basic ship price of 800 billion...Ok it doesn't cut the price of the modules or the engines or anything like that...but its still a pretty major cash break.

Hegemony
Its not supposed to be easy =P Sides, people want to stay on Earth, it seems, so its only fair.

Apart from the 30 trillion required....

The Back Room
Sounds like codswallop to me. Far more likely that at the end of time there was some sort of temporal explosion which sent everything back to the beginning. Thus the universe caused itself, rather than being from nothing.

Hegemony Argument Thread
Well, we could go for an EU style victory system...Winning means you get 3 cities and maybe a bit of technology, rather than destroying an empire entirely. As long as people were not gonna go and do a Napoleon(We must fight to win regardless of the costs) it would be good.

Hegemony Argument Thread
It seems like a bad idea. Blowing a nation into dust for the soul purpose of preventing it going to war is just a rather pointless affair. If neither side doesn't gain anything out of it then what is the point. Furthermore banning military actitivies seems to kill the game whenever it is suggested.

@Rocco&Mather: Either God wants to abolish evil, and cannot; or he can, but does not want to. If he wants to, but cannot, he is impotent. If he can, but does not want to, he is wicked. If, as they say, God can abolish evil, and God really wants to do it, why is there evil in the world? ~ Epicurus Otherwise: If there was a god, he wouldn't let a guy walk right up and shoot you in the face now would he? That's right, now you get the picture. Truth burns doesn't it? ~ Henry Rollins To date, despite the efforts of millions of true believers to support this myth, there is no more evidence for the Judeo-Christian god than any of the gods on Mount Olympus. ~ Joseph Daleiden I sometimes think that God in creating man somewhat overestimated his ability. ~ Oscar Wilde I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own; a God, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. ~ Albert Einstein Jehovah was not a moral god. He had all the vices and he lacked all the virtues. He generally carried out all his threats, but he never faithfully kept a promise. ~ Robert G. Ingersoll We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes. ~ Gene Roddenberry And finally: You know your god is man-made when he hates all the same people you do. ~ [usenet]

Its actually strange how almost none of that happened. Rocco didn't back stab anyone. Retech got flustered by NPCs Doom... Pretty accurate. Sere screwed over his people, built massive defensive structures and sold his allies down the river.(Basically stealing everyone else's plans) Dungeonal hasn't touched GM yet. If Paul didn't really conquer much Ross tried to annex his neighbours, but people would always get there first Grim seems to have a plan to go into space and planned neutrality. And Mather only allied with one person, has done virtually nothing based on Stargate...although did get into some arguments over the awesomeness of Norway.
