Seen it. Its permenant....So .5 would be half, then half, then half...ad infinitum....or until you spent 50% of your budget on improving it.

Updating it whenever I see a post and am not doing something else.

Could do. I just assumed you were messing around because you had no capital letters.

ae is part of the Latin Alphabet....

Yeah Hmmm, annexs already completed, none, are immune, all others are subject...since they won't complete for 10 days no one is commited to anything. Couldn't find anything notable to put in it. One off. Ok. Hmmm the Hegmonist Alphabet is based off of the Archimagian Alphabet, and is the oldest Alphabet in Archimagian. Which means the letter A is Archimagian, both in current usage and in origin. Back in the real world Latin Dipthongs predates your Norse runes: The earliest runic inscriptions date from around A.D. 150. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Runes Golden Latin, which spans the 1st century BC and the early years of the 1st century AD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Latin Therefore ae in Latin predates Elder Futhark by as much as 250 years. Therefore ae is Latin, part of the Romance Languages, not the Proto-Norse of the Scandinavian Languages. Once again Norway 'invents' something that had already been invented... They invented fire, don't you know....about five minutes.

Hmmm Originally a ligature representing a Latin diphthong So not Scandinavian or Germanic...

You add 6 noughts on the end because the figure in in millions. This is such a god easy system if you actually read the rules. Oh my god, my brain is melting with the complexity of it all, quick, we must abandon this system and return to GDP, it is far simpler than this system of spending a budget!!!! We must bring in percents and growth rates or else all is lost!

Sigh. Ok. The USA gets nerfed to 2 Trillion, Japan gets nerfed to 2 Trillion. Retech, if you want to take Canada then you get Canada's IAG and you play normally. Not 'Oh I have sacrificed by wonderful country so I should get rewards of Canada plus a bunch of other countries.' As Dusty would say, if you want to screw yourself, go ahead. New rule on Annexing....If you annex somewhere your new collective-country take a 50% Infrastructure hit. So if America was to annex Canada and Mexico, in the same ten year period, then the infrastructure of America, Canada and Mexico would be set to 0. Which would mean that the IAG of the new country would be whatever America+Canada+Mexico's IAG is *0. Which is obvouisly 0. That should balance out people going on annexfests. If you are really good at roleplaying then you can reduce this to 10% by creating a convincing cover story for why your countries have merged. This takes 20+ years(Depending on how awesome your story is) and is free, though. If you want to conquer somewhere the old rules apply, ie, you go in and blow their stuff up and have your stuff blown up. Potentially wiping out both countries Infrastructure, or doing relatively little damage and so only losing 0.01 or something. Pathetic AE arguement: [hide]Yes, AE came out of Scanadinavia. However ae came out of Latin/Greek. Meaning that, creatively, it is probably a combination...Because the fact is that there are only 46,656 ways to use your throat . Meaning that there are only 46,656 possible sounds, most of which are repeats. Added to clicking and other, non Larynx type, ways of speaking, while still making a sound, we are probably looking at, at the highest reasonably expected, at 40,000 different sounds. Given that 100 Billion people have been alive, the odds are that more than one person 'Hey, you know what sound would be good?'....In fact the odds are 1 to 2,500,000. So, effectively, 2,500,000 people could have originated the sound. Subtracting for the people alive today and all that jazz probably leaves about 1 to 25....Assuming that 1 lived in Scandinavia and 1 lived in Roma and the other 23 died before they could share their revelation about the amazing sound they could make...then it is not unreasonable to assume that more than 1 culture came up with the sound. Now assume that it was someone in Scandinavia and someone in Saxony...Now can we move on from this? [/hide] Anywho for anyone looking for an easy way to find out what is happening on Hegemony without wading: http://users.aber.ac.uk/lug9/hege/hegemony/

You are kinda caught between the game being boring because you can't annex or fight anywhere and the game being boring because you have annexed and fought everywhere.

Ok, if no one is going to suggest anything else I am gonna start a poll. Doom's System(correct me if I am wrong): Countries with more money take longer to make more money Archi's System: The USA and Japan are nerfed to a reasonable level Retech-Sere's System: The USA ceases to exist and Canada takes over the land. Hex's System: We close the thread and move to the other Tip It Hegemony thread. Any other suggestions in the next 20 minutes please.

Not if you don't have imagination.. Money is what it is all about otherwise. With the current system, the US could annex every single country in south america, africa, and asia other than japan, I think. And no one could stop that. So i'm gonna go ahead and say that's an advantage. Or you could bomb the USA...or you could gang up to stop America. Anyway, as I already said, we should just nerf America and Japan to start with. America gets 2 Trillion and Japan gets 1.7 Trillion. Everything else stays the same. (Doom, I like you system, by the way)

Hegemony
Hmmm....Ok....What if we randomly assigned a figure between 1 and 2 trillion to first world countries? That would keep everything intact.... Not sure about Annexations, does anyone else have any views?
-
Hegemony
Well it would be the USA and Japan, since they are rather far ahead... But I think changing it to 1.5 trillion for first world countries and 750 billion for second world countries would be easy enough.

I agree with Retech, its why I wanted a day before the game actually started to work out any bugs(then promptly slept through most of it)
-
Hegemony
Well are only 2 hours into the game, so we can still change stuff.
-
Hegemony
Who wants America to be nerfed down to 1.5 Trillion? The same as other developed countries?

Ok OP is updated.
