I agree that caring if Hex is back is unimportant...That won't stop people playing the 'Guess the Hex' game.. Simple reason for that...its fun. Someone joins the forum that day, posts in Falador, acts in a mildly confident manner, and talks about another game of Hegemony. People get suspicious. A few months later someone comments that so and so is Hex, and everyone else who thinks the same goes 'Yeah, obviously.' Person denies it. People go 'Yes you are' Person goes 'No, I'm Not' And so on. (Personally, its a matter of going 'Yup...Moving on'.)

And yes, it could blow up into a massive flame war...Hence why I don't want you to continue, because threatening to call the Admin strengthens everyone's position... Hex(if he is there), because he 'believes' the admin are impotant and will just fuel the situation. Resistance(if he isn't Hex), because he 'believes' the admin are impartial and therefore will go for the truth. People who think Resistance is Hex, because they 'believe' the admin will see the parallels and ban Resistance/Hex. The best that either you, or I, can hope for is that the Admin will start an investigation into Resistance and provide Iron-Clad Proof that he is Hex.It would be impossible to prove that he wasn't Hex. Their three other alteratives: Get involved: Increases risk of a flame war. Ban Everyone: Near certain risk of a flame war. Keep an eye but say nothing: My position.

Its not inside your jursidiction at all... Its a conversation...A conversation that annoys you. What you did was equivilant of Hex saying 'You need to change the name of Space because it isn't a Hegemony game, and if you don't I am calling the Admin.' And yes, I spelt Libel wrong =P And IP is no evidence at all. If this was a real court case then thousands of pounds would be spent. And Hex was a decent player most of time, it was only occassionally he went out of his way to be annoying...

(I will say this now, I am only bothered if you break rules, I don't care who you are, or are not.) Lying on an Oath? It would be Defamation, and more specifically, Lible. And to prove lible you would need to prove you are not Hex. Then prove that the statement caused harm. And finally you must prove that there was no evidence of the opposite being true. First is possible, though difficult, the second is possible and would depend on how the case was presented, and the last is impossible, since there are some indicators that it may be true.

Banning everyone for talking about Hex? As far as I know there are no rules against talking about a former member...

Hehe, if Men of War taught me anything it is that a single man against 90 men with the same HP, same weapons, same everything, armed with a dozen tanks and howitzers, can win. I guess, if the Civ world was going to be justifed you could say that the rifleman waits in a hole for the tank to pass nearby, and then tosses a grenade in. Tanks have a crew of between 3 and 5...so if only 1 in 3 soliders manage to blow up a tank then they would still win. Similarly, if a man with a spear happened to be in a fort, armed with Surface to Air Missiles and 150 mm cannons...then he is gonna look at his spear...look at the cannon...look at the battleship, look back at his spear, look at the cannon, go 'Hmmm' and then drop the spear and begin firing the 5 kilogram slugs at the ship. Also, look at the winter war: Finnish had: 337,000–346,500 men 32 tanks 114 aircraft And did: 126,875 dead or missing 188,671 wounded, injured or burned 5,572 captured 3,543 tanks 261–515 aircraft They were even outnumbered and outdated...what they were was organised.

Because Falador Library used to/still does have Hawkxs, who was not an offical moderator. This was then formalised as a Falador Moderator, since there was some confusion. Then, I assume, Nex and Ross were added to that group. Though PMing the Admin would probably be better...

Luxury I say!
