We'd need a confirming report - anyone could use it for the first week or two, and then several people reported that Jagex changed it so that you had to do the mini quest first.

Rune changed to mind, druid drop noted as once per set. Um. I'll let you take up any monster combat techniques in the Bestiary subforum, as the quest guide is pretty much done with that unless we get a LOT of posts saying our guide doesn't work for the bosses since Jagex's changes.

I like your post ... but it's hard to verify information that comes well after most people have done the quest. :( 1. Will try to get the rune changed, everyone seems to be in agreement that it is mind not body. :oops: 2. Drop issue has been corrected in the tips section of the guide - as a rare drop. 1. Guide does say you can wait for their prayer to run out. I do not have any time trials to check against. :) 2. You are the first person to post that the druids only drop the ingredients once. How many did you kill afterwards before you had to give up and get your own? Cos there were a couple of long stretches for me before I got the next drop. 3. I understood there was no real advance "telegraphing" of the attack change, unlike Jad. I'm not good at this personally - it's all I can do to notice when balls of lightning are hitting my character. :lol: As I'm sure you are aware, Jagex tweaked these bosses this week, and I do not know what the changes might be. 4. I didn't find the drops of the Undead Trolls http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?r ... er_id=1222 all that compelling tbh. The quest guide is soooo long that we have to pare down whatever is not essential. 5. Again, I understood there was no real "telegraphing" of attacks. If someone can post confirming your ideas, I'd like to add them, possibly in the Bestiary if not in the Guide. Thanks for your detailed post, it's appreciated. It's very VERY difficult for the Crew to confirm anything on a Quest after we have done it ... that's the hard part.

We had no real consistency of drops among the dozens of users who posted when the quest was released. Thanks tho for letting us know about your experience.

sorry, the sigil bit was changed in tips but not in the text. It's been fixed. Also added our Brand New Ape Atoll map. (Sorry we didn't have it there soon enough for you, lol.) The tip - I did my best with it. At this date it's hard to change combat info, because the techniques have to work for EVERYONE. Usually those get nailed down from the tons of posts that occur when a quest is released. I adjusted it from "You can try running east over the bridge and let the gnomes" to "Some players run over the bridges and let the gnomes". I hope this will do. Thanks.

It's quite possible that ALL boss monsters will "get bored" and leave. Koschei the Deathless (Fremennik Trials) walked out on me THREE TIMES because I was using prayer while trying to kill him in his fourth form (so that was twelve fights total, lol). I believe the magic number is somewhere between 16 and 20 minutes! Techniques for low levelled players to take on high levelled quests and bosses would probably fill a book. (I know of many pures who did Desert Treasure with lots of support from their clan mates, back in the old days.) If someone wanted to write up some good methods (a lot of them, not just 1-2) in the Player Made Guides forum, we would definitely be interested. Thanks for taking the time to post and share your experience!

Thanks for posting. Unfortunately, we probably missed your topic entirely, lol. We search the General Discussion thread (was viewtopic.php?f=30&t=774738 this time) and the Player Made Guides forum viewforum.php?f=113 for info about the quest on release day. If you have items or monsters info, do always post here, but for the quest itself, usually the above two locations are your best bet. We do appreciate you wanting to help and I encourage you to read the General Discussion thread on release day and post accordingly (either there or in the Player Made Guides forum). Thanks!

I believe the rare drop issue has now been addressed properly in the quest guide. Thanks to all who posted.

It's true, and documented in the ring of charos(a) abilities in the items database entry. Sometimes we don't add notes about every different "extra" feature in the game. I can unfortunately make quest guides appear to be complex, wordy and unnecessarily long. It's really just as easy to get 25 tokens as 10 - it's just 3 more bones and slime, cos they are worth 5 tokens each. Jumping in the Ooglog pools, wearing lightness cape, using fairy rings ... any of these may or may not be mentioned (unless weight or energy is a *central* factor to the quest). We sometimes just have to assume that people who did As A First Resort or Fairy Tale 2 will remember they have that advantage and remember to use it. :) Thanks though for wanting to help.

The final "reward" is for gathering all 20+ pages of notes that go into the research book. For that ... you get 10K gp. From what was experienced the first week it is not a common drop from the Mummies Skeletons and Zombies up there, and thus a gigantic pain to get them all, so most people decided not to bother. :)

The guide says that all Wildy clues will be accompanied by a Zammy mage attack, the notes were meant as reminders. However, I'm sorry about the oversight. :oops: Hope you survived. Guide updated.

I agree with you entirely, and was in fact going to add this. Then the author pointed out that the holiday event snow imps would be gone in a few weeks, and the wizard would be the sole source. So it was decided to leave it as it would eventually be.
