SportsGuy - in a separate post a player reported that the magic shortbow could not be noted for alching. Did you do it noted yourself? Need to be absolutely sure. mamaodella - several players reported trouble getting credit for the cooking task, and most of them were not using a boost. It has been theorised that one or the other range needed to be used, but results from people who succeeded varied. Jagex HAS been allowing players to use boosting pots/ales. Most of my friends and I use the Tip.It Firefox Add on, and we really love it. You can download it here: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=tipit_microhelper.htm Just choose the brown button for low or high detail to get the right one for you. To answer your question, the install procedure should look like this: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=tipit_mic ... tm#install If you do not see that, after downloading I believe you can click on the addon wherever you saved it, and it will add itself to firefox. But it should happen automagically. Note that our page provides the source code (unlike stuff provided by other sites) so you can be sure there's nothing in it that you don't want. Well, you answered your own question, really. We wouldn't have used jpgs for the old low-def pictures if we were not constrained to keep page loading size down ... think about the lag you get on more graphics-intensive sites, lol. :-w If you find a really bad jpg, and you have a picture to replace it that isn't much bigger, please offer it - but tell us the sizes of the old versus the new. High def screenshot pics just can't be reduced to a decent file size. Thanks for your concern.

My apologies. When we added our GE feature in July, there were a lot of multiple dose items we didn't have in our database, such as Kegs and potions. Our "dodge" for it was to show the multiple prices in the items record. Unfortunately, this info doesn't stay "sorted" when another database looks for the info. We are working on sorting out the difficulties - I'll start by fixing this one up right now. EDIT: DONE

We try not to add drops obtained by friends. Hearsay is the reason the dragon scimitar mistakenly appears as a drop from cockroaches on other fansites, lol. It's a rumour that just kept spreading! Thanks though for wanting to add to the drop list. In general, any beast on RS can drop a dragon spear - it's a rare drop but it can happen anytime. I got one from a Hill Giant a few years ago.

A lot of people have posted their xp/hour and other stuff from tools - I haven't really seen posts saying something specific such as "I got 360xp from making a green dhide body" (normally 180xp), etc. If someone would like to post the exact experience they got, from either the proto (morphic) OR the volatile tool, I'd be MOST interested in capturing this info.

The Crew considered this very carefully when the quest was released, and decided not to make this change. For one, it would spoiler the While Guthix Sleeps quest for the many, many folks that can't do it yet. Two, it would affect many places on the website. And three, any player who is high enough to complete WGS can figure out that the name has changed but "the song remains the same". This is not to say your concern isn't correct - of course it is. It's just that this is how we decided to handle it. Thanks.

moving from Items subforum to Bestiary

if I knew, I'd have the pics myself ;) What we are hoping to do is to be able to put together a Tip.It Gods Guide. The difference being that instead of just throwing down what "everybody knows" ... I'd like to be able to reference a source in the game. For example "Hazeel is a Mahjarrat" might be said in the Hazeel Cult quest. Of primary interest, obviously, are Guthix, Saradomin and Zamorak. But other names such as Zaros, Armadyl, Bandos (Death to the Dorgeshuun, cutscenes in Another Slice of HAM), Elidinas, Icthlarin, Iban (Underground Pass), Agrith Naar (Shadow of the Storm), Azzanadra (Desert Treasure), Seren (Roving Elves), Scabaras, Zemouregal (Arrav-Varrock), and basically anything that mentions the gods, god wars, 1st-2nd-3rd-4th-whatever Age, that kind of stuff ... is all of interest. Characters that are aligned with certain gods (such as Juna from Tears of Guthix) will also have interesting things to say about them. p.s.: Don't bother to screenie While Guthix Sleeps - a guy in the forums took 900+ screenshots of the dialog. :shock: (I really need to go write down his name lol.)

don't worry about the "in order" bit - that info is easily available on another fansite which has a Tome database. I checked my own book in game, and evidently they are not received/dropped in any sort of order, because mine has many gaps (I only have a few pages). Looking at the item images superficially, they seem the same two to me - you are convinced there are differences?

Well. You don't mention getting a set of armour for yourself. So you are giving the "extra" set that you found to Silif, and you are unprotected. Did you mean to mention it?

You are correct, the guide tells you how to get there, and then says the quest journal changes from speaking to both ... but never tells you to talk to them. Not sure if it was deleted or what. I feel like we need some info on talking to them to properly add it to the guide ... [edit: got this added and credited.]

I was under the impression that you could catch them in any order, and also that speaking to the Seer was optional, not required. It's been too long since I did the quest to recall for sure. Has anyone tried to do it differently (out of order or not talking to Seer)?

Hrmmm. Bravek "used to be" in his room on the ground floor. Your pic helps, as obviously he's moved upstairs. So when you talk to the Clerk does he take you upstairs, or tell you to go up there, or what? Just want to be sure to capture how you got there.

1. Since most monsters can't hit through prayer, it won't be mentioned. A monster hitting through prayer is an exception, not the rule. 2. This is good information, have heard this from 1-2 people but need to get confirmation from some more people before adding it. The "signal" for it is also helpful, thanks very much for posting this!! 3. This was suggested to me but I omitted it for the reason you mention. Also I'm not sure if a ranger or mage would move to engage with a player anyway - they move quite a bit as part of their normal algorithm, it seems. If we don't get number 2 added to the quest in a few days or a week, please bump this topic to remind us. Super post!

Correct rewards were posted in the quest guide released that evening, along with correct monster levels. Generally we collect info from the quest as we do it ourselves, along with info from any user-written guides posted in the Player Made Guides subforum, such as the one written by vaneck. Thanks for wanting to help.
