ok the guide already says under Suggested: "You might also want to bring a tinderbox and some wood to make a fire to boil the nettle water if you don't want to walk to Port Phasmatys to use the range." At the time of this post, the quest guide was last updated 6 March 2009, so you might have just overlooked it. Thanks though for wanting to help, and thanks especially Joe for confirming.

ok I went out there after noticing that the clue says 16.16, but our pic display shows 16.15. The spot we depict is actually 16.15, indoors. That can't be correct because the sextant isn't supposed to work indoors, lol. (We won't go there.) Getting new pic now. EDIT: fixed and credited, thanks!

actually ermin, I'll take the heat for that one. smellysocks and several other users got all of the xp data together for the evil tree, but we only got it into the guide recently and I wanted an excuse to point people at it. Sue me. :)

A test subject attempted this in game and was unable to do it during the quest. He got the message "you must use this spell on ores." I completed the quest long ago, and I was able to use it to burn some bones. I don't know what to think.

It's always possible that Jagex has changed it. If you could post a pic (a simple JPG would do, or any format you like) showing the landing window that would be great.

I had this clue tonight, and stood inside the building at the exact location shown in the guide pic, inside the building. The digging area for a clue sometimes extends a little bit beyond the exact square. I'd assume this is the problem.

Thanks for letting us know the minigame guide pic was outdated, we've replaced it and credited you. We were unable to use your pictures as they are in the JPG format - we need a PNG file to get clear results. But your effort is most appreciated!
