  1. ... unless of course you read the Jmod post that said the font change was not intentional to begin with, it was on their development system for other reasons and accidentally got released. So I wouldn't hold my breath for other changes. But you can dream. :)
  2. Our basic world map is handmade from the game. We use photoshop to create overlays of items of interest. Then we make all the layers into a flat file, usually a PNG. I like the idea of your map. The hard thing is it is large, and the areas of interest cover SO much real estate (all of Kandarin, for example), and thus it doesn't all fit on the screen at once. For our fairy ring popup map, we used a map "shrunk" to a somewhat manageable size on the screen. However, as you can see the base map used there is outdated - at that time we had no regular mapper on crew. It's hard to maintain many versions in different places. I will notify our Master Mapper to look at this thread. The Crew is GREATLY appreciative of anyone who wants to work on maps, and I encourage your interest. Let's see if we can work something out. Please PM me with information about what graphics software you have available.
  3. Thanks to those who posted about Getting Around guide. People with good grammar and info have been credited. ;) Also thanks Sportsguy for the rewrite.
  4. Hi katyced, welcome to Tip.It! This forum is indeed the right place to post your correction. I've merged it with a previous topic on Evil Trees about a new hint. It sounds like your clue (probably "To the South of a Gnome Settlement") meant south of the Tree Gnome Village, and you say it ended up being the site west of Yanille? http://www.tip.it/runescape/img2/eviltr ... lewest.png We need some other people to confirm these, hopefully with a screenshot of the clue (any format is fine) to make sure. Thanks for submitting!
  5. Crew is debating making a change to our current listings of "half key" to show tooth half and loop half, in case that might help users making a search. One hopes that all monsters dropping halves drop both, lol. We'll let you know what is decided.
  6. We revised this back when to make it clearer. Have added you to credits.
  7. This item has been added and you've been credit! http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=8659 Thanks very much, especially for all the proof pictures - AWESOME!
  8. This got done but we forgot to post. Thanks!
  9. Thanks! Updated and credited!
  10. I don't know what the rules are for the "do not call" list ... but I do know that in general, it's meant for random telemarketers. What you have here is a call from a company with whom you have a "previous business relationship". Meaning money changed hands, or you gave them your phone number. And as far as I know, they are allowed to harass you until the end of time. :( The sad thing about charities in the United States is that their fund drives by mail and so on are run by professional fundraising companies (who, incidentally, get to keep a large part of the money for themselves). You donated to the veterans to do a nice thing, and now they won't stop. There's a modern proverb about this: "no good deed goes unpunished." I was debating giving up my land line because several friends have done so. With a cell phone there's not much need for both. What finally settled it in my mind was realising that the only calls that came on the landline anymore were from random telemarketers and the local newspaper (I cancelled my subscription 7 years ago.) And keep in mind, I had an unlisted unpublished number, so it was not available to anyone, anywhere. Condolences to you and your family. Change your phone number. Lol.
  11. ok I have additional (and probably stupid) questions. I removed my extra java's per your replies above. But ... I have a grab bag full of runtime environments with no "remove" button in my control panel: J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 (updates 3, 6, 9, 10 and 11) I'm keeping a version 6 of both java and the runtime environment ... just wondering what to do with the other RTEs or how to safely get rid of them?
  12. Iceberg hunting region seems to have been added to hunting locations map, so I'm closing this. If there's a problem please PM or post another topic.
  13. Both credited, thanks very much for all the information!
  14. user never came back, moving to closed forum
  15. death and mouse toy added to appropriate guides and credited. Thanks, both!
  16. This has been sitting here too long without confirmation. I doubt we can find anyone with the necessary summoning level who is willing to drop all four pouches. If another user encounters this event, please post, preferably with a pic of the familiar's inventory of pouches, since they aren't tradeable. ;)
  17. Yeah, we looked into several things like this a few years ago, with no provable results. If you wanted to try several hundred picks from the front, and several hundred from the back, and record your success rate, I would be happy to look over the data. As you can see, changing something significant on the website requires some heavy in-game research to confirm it. However, your post is appreciated, I can understand wanting to get more specifics on pickpocketing as it's such a weird skill, lol. Please do post a topic in the future if you do a bunch of research, it's always welcome.
  18. Those material costs remain the same. However, it's the cost of seconds that often determine the cost and recovery value of the pouch. And those numbers have to be fetched from the GE, and right now the way it's coded doesn't lend itself to manipulation, and ... (boring details left out here). So. That's why. :) And besides, the shard cost already shown in our Summoning Skill Guide table: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=summoning ... tm#pouches
  19. As with every release, Tip.It Crewbies are busily working away behind the scenes to update our website as soon as we can. In the meantime, for your reference Jagex has provided the following information on their website: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... =815#death There is another topic in our forum that is collecting information and pictures of the new pvp items: viewtopic.php?f=186&t=798673 If you obtain such an item as a drop, please feel free to post there.
  20. We are looking at the possibilities of adding materials costs to calculators. However it poses some challenges, so I make no promises.
  21. Fixed due to your post in another topic, locking. Thanks.
  22. (edit: d'oh! I had this topic open from last night so I didn't see Wachtwoord's response.) 1. added by Wachtwoord. 2. is in Search now, might have been added last night by Wachtwoord (lol). 3. Is in the NPC Locations section, with a pic, as follows: Sinclair mansion's staff (Louisa) [Pic] Sinclair Mansion, north of Catherby I'll adjust it to Staff of Sinclair Mansion (Louisa) to better match the clue wording. Because you are a regular contributor, you of course already appear in the Credits. Thanks very much for the pics and for your continued assistance, it is extremely valuable to us and deeply appreciated.
  23. your link was not working (like a 404 not found error, but different). I think I see what you mean, it's included on the airbrushed map http://tip.it/runescape/quest2/map_113_tirannwn_3.png (note that this one is updated from version 2 you mentioned above). Would be helpful to see your pic if you still have it. If not, we'll try to get a crewbie out there when we can. Hopefully we can get it updated. Thanks very much for pointing out this oversight on our part.
