  2. stance: intellectually I accept that people have alternate lifestyles. orientation: heterosexual I'd rather talk about Jagex forcing us into gender roles. I want a purple coat from the frog prince! Being female doesn't automatically *mean* that I am defined a certain way. I should have the right to choose what reward I want. Just sayin'.
  3. It's so nice to see forum users discussing the SUBJECT of the articles, instead of the writing quality. Admittedly, that's because the quality of all the articles this week was excellent - but when it's not this good, I wish people would still remember that the discussion is about the SUBJECT, not flaming the author's skills. I enjoyed the articles immensely, including the fictional article by Necromagus. Normally I'm not big on RS fiction, but he's an excellent writer and I'll read anything from him. I mostly agree with Darkdude's article. The topic really leads to Jagex releases, though. I seem to recall the new Jagex CEO promising at the beginning of the year to cut back on the frequent token (or "lame") updates in favour of less frequent but meatier content. As someone else posted, that's not been the case overall. Chosen Commander was excellent, but the last two haven't been as favourably received. (I haven't done them myself.) I strongly DISAPPROVE of Jagex focusing on "updating old content" .... that's no benefit for me, as a current customer I've already DONE all that! Put a couple-three people on it maybe, but don't expect me to sacrifice new stuff for it, sorry. (Plus, it makes my job as a Crewbie that much harder, since they don't tell us what they've done so we can update our guides, lol.) I'm too chicken to fight boss monsters, but tryto's article was a good read regarding the balance between soloing and grouping. In the past, Jagex has generally FAILED (imho) at group content. Trouble Brewing is a classic example (water continues to be abused), griefers turn up at stuff like Trawler and Great Orb project, and getting up a Barbarian Assault team (the best focused group game, with a dedicated role for each person) is nigh-impossible since the rewards are so blah. Blast Furnace was meant for groups - but turned out to be solo-able. In contrast, Penguin Hunting was meant as an incidental activity - and instead has become so firmly entrenched as a group activity that the Quick Chat lists it as such. Castle Wars, Pest Control, Stealing Creation and Clan Wars are among the few successful group games. Altricious, it's great to hear from another adult player of Runescape. I hope that Jagex eventually learns how many of us there are, so they don't overlook our requirements. If we wanted more adult content and attitude ... we'd already be playing WoW. We LIKE the Runescape environment and community, and that's why we chose Runescape instead. Thanks again to the users who posted their opinions on the Times TOPICs here, I enjoyed hearing your thoughts.
  4. You make a good point about the inconsistency. We should decide whether to show them or not, and then stick to it. Argument against: It would double the number of entries in some slots. There are dozens and dozens of "outfits" in RS with absolutely no stats. So why clutter the equip calculator, making it harder to find the piece you want? Argument for: If the item I want doesn't show, how can I be sure the crew didn't just forget, lol? Well I can answer that - we now have a checker, so items that have stats should be offered as a choice in the equipment builder. (tho sometimes a bug creeps into the system ) Once we make a decision, we can go thru and fix up the entries. I'd like more discussion on this from other users.
  5. As you can see, it's been a struggle even to get the data for the plain bolts, lol. People have asked about collecting data for enchanted bolts ... but then I believe the damage you're inflicting would be based on multiple factors, right? The affects of some bolts are random, right? I do not foresee the Crew trying to collect data for enchanted bolts - it's been hard enough just getting the basics. If someone wants to try to start collecting data, such as in a Beginner Guide in Player Made Guides, give us a link to it when you have some going. :)
  6. The Evil Chicken has been resuscitated for RFD'ers. Thanks.
  7. Hi, thanks for posting and we are interested in your info. Just responding to acknowledge it, we'll try to get someone to throw our data at your formula as soon as we can.
  8. Our rule is to confirm any user submitted HP information with a lunar examine, so we are not changing HPs willy-nilly. I see you have submitted several corrections - please assume that nobody is in there mucking these up, and let's work together to get them corrected. I'm wondering if there's another Troll general with different HP, actually .... in the meantime, the record you linked now shows 140. Thanks for your continued participation, it's appreciated.
  9. List updated, thanks to you guys who are helping!
  10. Pic of the location is 403, can you repost it?
  11. Thanks for the heads up, it's been added!!
  12. added a note about stat boosts to the starting section of all diary guides (it was only shown on Seers), credited you on Falador. Thanks!
  13. I suggest using the search function in your bank, you might have stored it accidentally. Also, try checking your in-game quest menu, as well as checking with the Rag and Bone man himself.
  14. Added and credited george, thanks SOOO much!!
  15. Thanks, corrected and credited!
  16. The guide states "Approval ratings also drop if you kill a subject or steal from the stalls, and in those cases it can go all the way down to 0%." However, I had the same question about killing bunnies and chickens right on the islands. Turns out they don't count either. So - added and credited.

  18. It is true that all herb seeds are represented in our Bestiary as "herb seed(1)". The reason for this is twofold: when herb seeds were originally released they were not identified, and ... we'd basically be listing them all, which would just be clutter. Thanks, however, for wanting to contribute. Please do let us know if you find other corrections needed.
  19. Congratulations, farming is not for the faint of heart!
  20. There is a monstrously large thread of pictures of all Construction Items, compiled by TIF user Dragonfly. The parts relevant to the Gods are below. However, you will see that despite the thread being in general discussion and dozens of people participating, several statues are not shown. This may be due in part to the expense of marble blocks. Also some of the images have expired, simply because the thread was compiled in 2006. If you'd like to contribute pics, please let us know or post on the referenced thread. Hope this helps you. 21. Locking since it's been a while, if there are new values or some missing please make a new post. Thanks!
  22. My assigned emotes this week were Flap, Slap Head, Zombie Walk, Zombie Dance, Zombie Hand, Scared, Bunny-Hop, Snowman Dance, Safety First, Explore. I performed each of the 10 emotes 1x at each of the three events. Items worn - none whatsoever, no equipped items nor armour of any kind. Location of Circus: Lumbridge Wearing full circus gear?: No Mage Event Description: 10x Emotes (Flap, Slap Head, Zombie Walk, Zombie Dance, Zombie Hand, Scared, Bunny-Hop, Snowman Dance, Safety First, Explore) Mage Event Points: 30 Ranged Event Description: 10x Emotes (Flap, Slap Head, Zombie Walk, Zombie Dance, Zombie Hand, Scared, Bunny-Hop, Snowman Dance, Safety First, Explore) Ranged Event Points: 30 Agility Event Description: 10x Emotes (Flap, Slap Head, Zombie Walk, Zombie Dance, [see note below], Scared, Bunny-Hop, Snowman Dance, Safety First, Explore, Air Guitar) (NOTE: I got a message saying you cannot perform Zombie Hand on the tightrope - so I did Air Guitar instead.) Agility Event Points: 30 Sadly I did agility last or I'd have done the Air Guitar on the other two, or something. Hope this helps.
  23. This was a cool April Fools Event, and thanks for taking the time to make a picture and post it. We base the monster database on monsters that you can actually attack, and Brassica Prime sadly did not fall into that category. However, thanks to all the people who posted, I went ahead and wasted my game time kicking a cabbage all the way there from Falador myself! Fortunately it was 2am so I didn't meet many griefers. Thanks again for making the pic and posting about it - your contributions in the Bestiary forum are always welcome and appreciated!
