minor Herblore xp tip for Herblore skill guide
I too considered training herblore this way after completing Jungle Potion many moons ago. However, each ID is only 2.5xp, they are not noteable so each one must be dropped individually, and Jagex has controlled the search and/or respawn times to prevent players from training in this way. If someone was really determined they might want to do this, but I don't think we should add it to our guide.

small Treasure Trail anagram correction
He just meant our guide does not include the "?" at the end. A screenie of the clue showing it would be awesome, if someone gets it? (JPG is ok, any format is fine since it's just for confirmation)

Summoning guide > Ents
thanks editing now EDIT: Our guide had "up to 17 damage on up to 3 opponents" but Jagex's Knowledge Base now shows "up to 11 damage on up to 3 opponents". Can you give us any guidance on the damage? I removed the "10" from the forage oak logs bit (probably was supposed to be a capacity before Jagex revised summoning). Thanks! They do still list the "Chance of acorns being dropped." Feel like turning in a bug report to Jagex? :D

[Answered] Praying at the corporeal beast
experts have tested this. their results show that the beast's max hit is 65 without prayer and in the 40s with prayer. so it seems that some protection is offered.

Tip.it Times Presents: A Time of War
EXCELLENT article, I can't praise it enough! Super subject, very well considered and treated. Although the GE and removal of gold farmers have definitely been the major factors in the death of skilling profits, there is one other influence - the introduction of skill capes long before December 2007. Some players decided to "buy" their 99 capes by powering through tons of raw materials, driving demand up. Prices of raw materials were already beginning to approach the value of finished products six months before the Big Changes. When the GE came, 99s (and other high levels) flooded the market from their stashes of finished products. The abolition of the gold farmer supply of raw materials finished off the profit margins for skillers. It is expected that the return of PvP will raise demand for potions and food. Not sure whether it will help in terms of armour (metal and dragon) and other stuff. We'll have to wait and see.

Quest Calculator
The sages have been consulted, and have responded thusly: please clear your cookies. It will mean entering your data in by hand again, but it should solve the problem. Thanks for your helpful description of the problem. Please let us know if you still have difficulties after doing this.

Quest Calculator
Well, the subquests actually have quest points assigned to each of them, that's why we added them in the first place, lol. Without them, users had to either check Recipe for Disaster (10 qp total) and Rag and Bone Man (2 qp total) completely, or not at all, in order to track their quests. This meant their total wasn't reflected, and it also didn't allow them to track the requirements for the subquests in RFD, which get pretty hectic. I have alerted our coder to this issue and expect he will look at it as soon as he can. It's odd that it's affecting only a few people, though. Re-reading your posts I see that the main symptom is it saying you've done all the quests even tho you clearly have not checked them all. In the old days, any change to our quest checklist required users to clear their cookies. That hasn't been necessary in a long time. I hate to even ask it because it's such a nuisance to redo (checking off all your completed quests again), but I wonder if this would solve your problem. (You may have already done this, anyway.) Course I'd hate to have you do it and not have it help, either, lol. >.<

Treasure Trail Riddle
I'm coming to the conclusion that *some* of the regular clues need pictures, not unlike the coordinate clues. Several people have submitted them in the past, and we turned them down. My apologies for this reversal, lol. I really don't want to host pics of all the easy clues, just the ones that are a little hard to find using only text. If someone can submit a picture of this clue location (with chat box showing "you have found another clue scroll!" or whatever, meaning that you are really doing the clue not just going to the location), that would be welcome. Please use LOW DEFINITION, with map pointed NORTH and minimap included. Turn off split chat. And please use PNG format. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Quest Calculator
thanks very much for your informative post - will try to get the right people to look at this issue. It probably does not matter but ... if you'd make another post stating what browser you are using, OS, etc, just in case that might also help them to troubleshoot. again, thanks so much for the details.

Possible addition to TT Guide
generally, higher level players know how they want to fight a wizard and choose their own best method. The recommendations are for someone who hasn't done the fight before and needs some guidance. There are many different personal strategies, but we do not have the space to list them all. Thanks, though, for wanting to help.

As A First Resort...
1. Lit torch - I think it won't let you, I believe it was attempted when the quest came out. 2. Hunter boost - you probably hit the "clock tick" and lost 1 level right away. The boosts were determined by looking through the posted results from dozens of players when the quest came out. 3. The HP boost was determined by many players to be 20%, but some players reported otherwise. Rather than continuing to hold disputes, the guide says that it boosts it. Players can find out how much it boosts them by trying it for themselves. 4. Elementary monster blocking isn't something we address in guides. 5. The charter ship info is already listed in the Tips and Tricks section of the quest guide. 6. From your xp - 15,000, it looks like you were at 47 hunter during the quest, because in the pic you are about to roll to 49. You are the first person to report that a hunter potion works with this quest. Given the juggling that you had to do in order to trap the platypus, it's not something I'd necessarily recommend. 7. Running - the boost is not based on the number of steps, or weight, or any of the other things people have guessed. The length of time is related to your agility level. Again, this information is from tests done by dozens of players when the quest was released. We can't adjust a website guide based on one person's experience.

Quest error
The password has been Ka Lu Min since the days of RSC. I'd suggest that you might have gotten one of the first two wrong, and that's what got you to these "d" choices? If the password has changed, hopefully some other people will let us know.

Little Correction in Summers End
Void Torcher is a blue charm monster, the *secondary* ingredient is the Void charm. Abyssal monsters all use coloured charms which have already been used. Thanks for wanting to help.

Stardust and Circus Stuff
I think Jagex snuck in and changed these on us - got them confirmed in game for both male and female, matching what you have said. So they've all been fixed and released. The only two we lack are Ringmaster megaphone and Ringmaster boots. Please post the proper name and examine if you have them! EDIT: All items have been added to the database, thanks to everyone who contributed!!

NEED ITEM PICS: Varrock family crest

Quest list shows subquests?
These entries are there to implement the Quest Checklist and Calculator functions. So, you check off the ones you've done and it properly adds up your total quest points, as well as showing which quests you have left to do on the Calculator. It isn't perfect, but hopefully the advantages outweigh the rest.
