    Today...

Don't worry, I've been a Leafs fan long enough to know that. I just enjoy the wins when they come.

    Today...

I just got back from watching the Toronto Maple Leafs and Philadelphia Flyers play pre-season hockey. The Leafs won and I saw a guy I used to work with. Good times, really.

    Today...

I was 16 when I joined... I must be pretty old. Today was a boring day. I didn't do anything worth stating, so I'll just go back to whatever it is I'm doing right now (probably involves eating something as I am quite hungry.)

    Today...

This was Sunday, but I left home around 6pm (with my sister) expecting to go for something to eat and then to the Drive-In. We got something to eat, drove to the Drive-In, saw the line + the vehicles already inside, kept driving and pulled into a pet store parking lot where we decided to go to a non-Drive-In movie. We then had to cross the city in under 20 minutes (no easy feat) and succeeded. However, the line at the box office was, although short, slow moving. The movie "started" at 8, we got in at 8:10 so were stuck sitting in the second row. In short, I went out expecting to pay $13 to see (up to) 4 movies from the comfort of my own car to paying $11.50 to see 1 movie from the second row.
  5. I buy a lot of generic food as it's basically the same thing for less. Sometimes half the price of the brand name. I find generic food brands are sometimes better, even.
  6. Saw The World's End. I enjoyed it, but I enjoy just about anything with Simon Pegg. I still prefer Shaun of the Dead, though.

Pretty much, although yard sales usually have one seller and as such can take place on your own lawn. The only car boot sale I've been to was at my old public school and had close to 100 sellers.

    Today...

I took the dog out today and found out my neighbours are having another Yard Sale, their 5th one this year.
  9. Agreed on that subscribe button. Have it on as default, but an option to hide it.

    Today...

My sister's screen shattered on her a few months ago. It was in her pocket at work and she took it out at break and the screen was a mess. She had a choice of either fixing the phone for ~$150 or paying off the phone (~$170) and getting a new one. She got a new one. My aunt's cat, or so it was supposed to be, made me bleed yesterday. It is the first time in years I have actually bled. She scratched both legs and my stomach, all in one movement. I deserved it, of course. I usually do deserve these things. And I say it was supposed to be because my aunt randomly brought home a cat one day. However, she doesn't do anything to look after it. My sister and I feed it and usually buy the food, too, and my mom and sister clean the litter box.
  11. Usually I prefer the bed, too. But some nights I need the harder surface to fall asleep. I'm not sure why, really, but it works. Also, your mention of camping reminded me of something else that makes me smile. Camping! I used to go camping for a week every summer as a kid.
  12. I used to sleep on my floor a lot, despite having a bed. Now my room is smaller, so I can't find enough space to sleep anywhere but on my bed.
  13. Right now, highscores is all I want. Well, that and a proper Squeal of Fortune. Whether that be allowing us to "Convert to Coins" any members items we win, or reducing the number of members items that show up on it, I don't care. Either one will do.

I'm just starting to peel from a sunburn I got 2 weeks ago. I always enjoyed the peeling more than I should have.
  15. Fair enough. But how does a family with 3 dogs, 2 kids, and no jobs afford that much alcohol? I mean, my mom had 2 kids, no dogs, and a job and couldn't afford groceries half the time. And that was in a place where rent was only around $200/month. I know the answer, as my cousin manages it in much the same manner (though without the dogs), but still...

:P  I can't believe I've been calling it the wrong thing all these years... Thank you, Kaida, for showing me the error of my ways.
  17. I did. I thought I didn't, but after a quick googling I found out I did know all along. OT- Once again, last night my neighbour decided 2am was the ideal time for a can-crushing session. It went on for 2 hours, so until about 4am. And since I wasn't asleep when he started, I was awake until after he finished. More importantly, he was crushing at a fairly quick rate and does this every day or two (just not always at 2am). Who goes through that many cans?

    Today...

Happy Birthday. Today I (along with my sister) was supposed to be going to the town I grew up in to see if the annual festival had changed any. However, she picked up an extra shift at work last night and so is probably sleeping right now, and probably most of the day. Now I have to come up with a new plan. Something involving a grocery store would be awesome right about now.

Really... I was there on August 1st, I think. We only stayed a few hours, though, since we had to get back to Canada for the night of the 3rd.

    Today...

I've been back from vacation for about a week now. It went pretty well, although I was reminded that my cousin doesn't understand dry humour... which is the only kind I ever use anymore. A few days after I got back my neighbours started arguing over whether the snake that killed the 2 boys in New Brunswick was in the apartment or the pet shop below it... and then today they were crushing cans for 3 hours. The only plus-side is that they didn't decide to crush the cans in the middle of the night this time. And for any who care, the vacation was a drive to Tennessee. The 15-hour drive ended up taking 3 days, but that was kind of the point of driving in the first place.

    Today...

Woke up this morning to the joyous sounds of my neighbours yelling at each other, despite neither one being angry with the other. Judging by what I overheard, they were just loudly agreeing that a third member of the neighbourhood was intolerable and followed it up with some name-calling of the variety I would rather not repeat. It wasn't even the ones from next door yelling, but rather the ones from 4 doors down. Apparently the back yard is ideal for yelling now. Today more than ever, I regret moving back into the city. And my mom was offered the chance to be a mystery shopper once. She never answered them, though. I would probably do it once, just to see what it's like.
  23. Welcome to the family. We're good people... mostly.
