how many warning points do you have?
I have zero, as well. I also only have about a dozen posts in 2013, though.

The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
I, like obfuscator, don't have strong feelings for or against it. Apparently it has had some measure of success in Quebec, but only time will tell if it is the right move.

Well, the Penguins are moving on. Hopefully San Jose can win the next two. I think they're about the only team left that I like.

40 years? That's a lot longer than I would have thought. It almost doesn't seem possible.

It was unfortunate... Now I ignore NHL for a bit and watch the Memorial Cup. Go Knights Go!

Game 6 Sunday. I can't wait. It should be a good one.

Definitely. They give up a lot of shots, but not many GOOD scoring chances. I can't help but wonder what would have happened in a full season, though.

It took longer than I had hoped, but I'm glad they finally clinched it. Reimer is playing like when they first called him up a couple years back.

The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
It came out of nowhere. Everybody was reporting a deal with the Bruins was being finalized and 10 minutes later I get a message from TSN saying Iginla is a Penguin. Needless to say, I was confused.

Today...
Well, I'm officially out of a job for the first time in 5 years... No satisfactory explanation, just a quick "thanks for your time." Now to search for a job. So far, I have been ignored by a grocery store after applying as an Overnight Stocker... Guess I'll have to ramp up the search a bit.

I've always done it that way, but our bread knife didn't need any coaxing to cut you. I never did cut myself, though I'm not sure how. I have been working with knives for 5 years, using them at home for nearly 20 years and have NEVER cut myself with one. But give me a cardboard box and I cut myself every time. I also do the steak knife method of separating frozen burgers, but it's rare I eat burgers anymore. Yesterday I found out l am not working again for this coming week, but my employer won't officially lay me off yet. For those who care, it has now been 6 weeks since I worked, and I have had only 6 shifts since the start of October. I don't care that I'm not working (it happens every year around this time) but at least tell me if I'm going to get any more work (which they usually do) so I can make plans.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Wii Virtual Console. 500 Nintendo Points, or whatever they call them now, if I'm not mistaken. Still, I don't find using an emulator for something so old to be that bad. OT: The landlord put in new smoke detectors, and the one was set off by a pre-heated oven. I opened the oven to put the food in and the thing went off.

Why not just leave earlier? The one that passes near my new house starts at 2:20 doing a half hour loop. It passes my place near the end of the loop, so about 2:40-2:45. I start at 2:50, when on afternoons. It then takes a further 20-25 minutes from there to get to my workplace, so ~3:05-3:10. 15-20 minutes late, ignoring the walk from the road + changing into my uniform which would be a further 10 minutes. Long story short, leaving early isn't plausible for taking the bus. I'll figure something out, though.

Today...
Today the landlord came to take pictures of the house/yard so they can get new tenants asap. Apparently waiting until we started moving our stuff, early next month, was out of the question. It should be interesting to see how I get to work next year, since I won't be able to walk and I won't have access to a vehicle while on afternoons. And of course, city buses would make me consistently late for work.

Windows are scary stuff
Truly does... All of a sudden, I'm glad we moved.

Garden gnome? No, I thought of that, too, but nobody in that neighborhood had any in their yard/garden.

Windows are scary stuff
One of the basement windows where I used to live (and where I slept in the basement) made me see a gaunt face with a traditional wizard-style hat. Tall and pointed, you know. I never did find out what was causing it, since there were no trees or anything on that side of the house.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Hitler was average height for a man at the time, at about 5'8". Muppets from Space... it was on TV so I watched it, and still enjoy it. Muppets take Manhattan... I love this one, too, but fell asleep about half-way through and woke up during... Stuart Little... hate this one, so I turned the TV off and went back to sleep.

what was your first job ! ?
My first job was applying price stickers for 8 and a half hours. I'm just glad it was only for 2 weeks. A little over a month later, I was hired at my current job (5 years as of January 28th.)

The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
The only game I have ever been to was OHL, London Knights vs Kitchener Rangers. I only went to that because my aunt won the tickets. I did have a ticket to the pre-season Leafs/Flyers game in London, but since it was cancelled... Last I checked, the arena was still holding out hope the game will happen. I can still get my money back any time, though. I'll wait until I really need it,or they start refunding all tickets.
