  1. My sister went to McDonald's last night, 5 minutes after I told her I was giving up fast food for the month. My first test of the challenge and I passed.
  2. The same thing used to bug me, too. Then I got a job where I am now and figure I'll see how it goes. Now, almost 4 years later, I'm still working there and (overall) happy with it. The people that come and go, those that stay, even the work... assuming I'm on my line. Now whenever people ask me about my future goals, I just tell them I don't think that far ahead. It bothers me more when people grill me about why I don't have a license... Until I was 18 we didn't have a car, now I live a 25 minute walk from work... why waste the money on a car?
  3. I used to get a similar feeling whenever I turned down overtime. Then I realized I don't need the money. I still can't say no to the one Supervisor, though. I hate when they send him to ask.

Good luck Skull, and I do hope you will return to us when you get used to the new life. For the last couple of months, we have had a sinkhole in our front lawn. It is slowly expanding and is now close to 2 (6-7 feet) meters in diameter. As it is technically on city property, we called the landlord who called the city (after our second call and a lie about a 5 year old coming to visit soon) and they fenced it off yesterday. Today they are pumping water out of it, but they said they can't fix it until next week. When I heard that, I was hoping they would wait long enough that their fence fell in.

I would get one, but then I would probably only use it twice.
  6. I think Toy Story 3 was the only one that brought me close to tears. Wall-E wasn't sad, to me, really. I still haven't seen this one, but until I do I will just say that flop is too strong of a word.
  7. I've got a baseball one myself. My sister (older) asked me to pitch to her for a bit, so I did. She kept hitting it to my left, each one getting closer and closer to me. Finally, I said I had had enough. She ultimately convinced me to throw one more and so I did. It came back at me with a vengeance and I dropped like a rock. I took it in the side of the head. Apparently I should have trusted my gut and quit one pitch sooner like I wanted to. Now, whenever somebody says "1 more!" I refuse. I was maybe 6 at the time.

We definitely have a winner, now. I'm not related to any famous people, yet, but my cousin could change that. In fact, I don't know that any of my friends have any famous relatives, either.
  9. If it was me, I wouldn't care which. I don't plan to change mine, though. I already have 5 different names, just at work. Which reminds me, it annoys me when people call me Douglas, believe it or not. It is my name, after all.
  10. Eh I just got one too. Guess they aren't as rare now? Strange because I lost mine. You stole it, give it back. I just got one, now. Less than an hour ago.

The only thing I'm all that good at is hiding my negative feelings at inopportune times. Such as when my lead hand is around as he causes many of said feelings. Also, I forgot to mention, I spent an hour or more last night talking to a guy about the words "no offense" and an hour on Monday building a pyramid out of coins.
  12. ^I never liked that guy... in anything, really. The Smurfs- As ridiculous as it was that they made it... I liked it. Zookeeper- Probably the best talking animal movie I have seen, not that that's saying much. Friends with Benefits- Better than expected, but still not great. Priest- I couldn't remember a thing about this one before it started, but it was pretty good. I also rewatched the second and third Harry Potters and the Naked Guns... And saw Kick-Ass again. I think there is more, but that's all I can think of for now.
  13. After some thought, I decided I will give up fast food completely... since I already cut back considerably (until last weekend, anyway...). Who knows, maybe it will extend past August. Or maybe I'll go out September 1st and stop at every fast food place in the city... I think I prefer the first idea.

I found out my younger cousin has a talent for writing. Finally somebody in my family who isn't only good for fixing your car (we have 2 licensed mechanics and 2 others who know what they're doing but never wanted it as a job.) I think I work today... and by that I mean, I do... but they might cancel it  Apparently if the day shift has a perfect run there will be no work for us afternooners. I could use a day off. I also found out last night that the same thing could happen Friday.
  15. That's quite an achievement; how do you destroy it beyond repair? I was going to ask the same thing. I destroy mine from time to time, but "beyond all repair"?
  16. This is me, as well. I have to be organized, even though my bank is a mess. I also have to wear very specific outfits for different things. I have a different outfit for each skill in F2P and 3 different hats (skull hat, woolly hat and black wizard hat) for melee combat.
  17. It usually happens to me when I'm on days. If I do get to sleep, I wake up every now and then thinking I overslept. This entire part of the post would apply to me as well, if not for the music choice. Right down to the Nano with silver back cover and squarish edges. Also, it all happened about 2 years later in my life.

Work today. I didn't really sleep much last night, either. This should be fun.

I just got back from "dusk till dawn" at the Drive-In down the road. 4 movies with my cousin. It's about the only time we spend together anymore.
  20. I think you'll find I have the exact opposite stance. Same avatar for the entirety of my stay at TIF thus far. I believe I changed mine once, and it is almost exactly the same. It just had too many innocent bystanders in it the first time around.

Done early today. Worked 5 hours, giving me 40.5 on the week. 0.5 hours overtime! I was somewhat surprised they let us go right away, though.
  22. I wish my computer would still run the game. I was crawling ever-closer for a while there, now I'm back to 150+ levels down again...
  23. I agree with Dragon, as well. A to B is ideal. I hate medium-long hair because it makes my scalp itchy. I don't mind how it grows, as it tends to stay straight, but I can't stand the itch.

I know in Canada, you CAN learn either one, but very few will pass their driving test in a manual, at least where I live. So yeah, most people learn in an automatic and then learn manual later, if at all. Also, Happy Birthday. I work today. Hopefully a short shift, but 2:20-10:20 at worst. I need about 4.5 hours to get 40 on the week, so let's go for that. Also, we're making Chocolate Peanut Butter Haagen Dazs today, so I might just need a snack.
  25. I agree with that. There is such a thing as too much.
