  1. I agree. But I have to admit I love the experience rate.
  2. I can't say I'm all that surprised, really. He almost didn't come back from the lockout, either. Still, 12 years left on his contract and he retired?
  3. I don't mind the idea of the auto log-out, personally. It only affects me because there is no warning. Add a visual warning (timer, chatbox message, whatever) and I wouldn't care at all.
  4. Yeah, I knew about the 6th book... I'm still trying to find a copy, though. (I've pretty much memorized the first 5 now) And I've watched the videos, but I would love to actually own a copy. I can't always get online to watch them. Admittedly, I have not played the computer game, though. Anyway, OT: For some absurd reason, I decided I would start collecting the Party Room afros... Now my bank is full... and I had to spend a few hours using/selling/dropping/destroying a bunch of stuff to get it down to full. I admit, it wasn't my most thought-out plan.
  5. Honestly, I knew I would never get everything I needed for it so I just ignored it completely. I didn't obtain a single resource for it.
  6. Huh, I always thought Devnull cornered the market on that on this board. Anyway, Welcome to the family.

    Today...

Last time I ate at McDonalds was in September of 2011. And the only thing I miss is the fries. But even those were hit-and-miss.

    Today...

I went to Medieval Times on my grade 8 grad trip. It was fun. Now my friend is one of the knights so I want to go again. This is in Toronto, though. It is currently 12:48 and I have already been to the Passport Office and the bank, and done the dishes. I'm having a good day, sort of. As for the sort of, I had no plans to go to the bank. But my bank card decided to not work when time came to pay for the Passport. As such, I had to have my mom pay for it and I paid her back. So I went to the bank to get the money out for her. It worked. We then told a teller about my card (since it has been consistent over the last 3 or 4 cards I have had) and she could find no reason whatsoever for that to be happening and nobody in the bank had ever heard of such a thing persisting through multiple cards. So I got a new card again. So far so good. That's right. I have issues that not even the "professionals" know how to fix.
  9. In other words, it represents the number which is the answer to life and everything in the universe, or something... Life, the Universe and Everything. That'd be "42" ... Trust me, I know my Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I own 2 copies of that Trilogy in Five Parts, plus the movie. I would love to find the old radio shows, too.
  10. I grew up in a place like that. Unfortunately, now I live in a place where I'm more likely to get somebody else's mail than my own. I've even received mail for someone who lives at my street number... on a completely different street (Wellington vs Southdale), so yeah... I don't trust the mail service very much right now.

    Today...

It's been nice knowing you, giroux. For those who care (I'm sure there are a few), I finally updated my About Me. It is now not only accurate, but also more than 10 words. I was planning to use that time to sleep, but it wasn't working out, hence the idea of changing it from being about my extensive sleeping habits. So yeah, currently 5:10am, and I am still awake. In probably 4 hours, I will be off to submit my passport application and hopefully this time next week it will be in. Then, 8 days later, I will be heading to the USA for a road trip of sorts. I think it is safe to say I will be the farthest from home I have ever been, and I am actually looking forward to it a bit.
  12. I never did like Fallout, myself. I'm not really sure why, but I could never get into it. I've been playing Runescape again. 1352 total now, was 1334 when I came back. Exciting stuff.

    Today...

Finally have everything I need to get a passport. I'll be going in the morning to officially submit it. I would have preferred to mail it, but I am supposed to be going on a trip in a couple of weeks and mailing takes up to 6. Now to hope they don't reject the photo for any reason.
  14. I couldn't agree more. She has everything but the desire, really...

    Today...

    >1 hour through a very pretty mountain forest. \:D/ ~40 minutes through back country roads. Again, if not for the Sun having some personal vendetta, I might actually enjoy the beach, since the ride there isn't too bad and I enjoy the feel of the sand.
  16. In other words, it represents the number which is the answer to life and everything in the universe, or something... Life, the Universe and Everything. I no longer collect anything, but used to collect Pink Skirts (had over 10k) and buckets (had about 7k).
  17. Busy is best for most shifts, but I was never really bored at my old job. Working with the right people will do that for you. OT: Proving my sister wrong. She was convinced that the "daddy long legs" was the most venomous spider on the planet. 3 seconds on the internet and I showed her that that is, in fact, a myth. 2 days later, she claimed to have never said it.

    Today...

I don't really dislike the beach, I just don't get along with the sun very well. It likes to watch me burn, even with supposedly strong sunscreen.
  19. Or people who get hired where you work 3 years after you and within 6 months are hired on full time (even though they work half as hard as you) while you are still sitting at seasonal. Better yet, when you don't get called back because there is a shortage of work, while those same people do because they are full time and have a real union. That's pretty much me written all over. I've started saving up to do short courses JUST so Im not stuck at home so much and so they havent got an excuse to go "well we want someone with more exp" To make matters worse, in my case, they even sent the "Thanks for your help" letter to my old address, despite the fact I changed it with them 2 weeks earlier. The only reason I got it is because the old landlord still had my mother's phone number and the new tenants were sick of getting our mail.
  20. Hmmm... I still don't feel too safe. I kid, I kid... I'm a kidder.

  22. No hard feelings, Mr. D. V.? We are all part of this family, after all. Hard feelings might make family reunions a little awkward... [spoiler=Translation]Please don't hurt me, I'm sorry! And I bruise easy...

    Today...

I've lived near beaches all my life and haven't gone in 15 years...
  24. Welcome to the family. And watch out for Devnull. Something isn't quite right with him. I think he may have gone off his meds.
