I really need to get X and/or Y... I'm replaying Heartgold right now, instead, until I can convince myself to buy it.

Today...
Unlimited text and data and heavily reduced calling rates for $30... when I say heavily reduced, I mean down from $0.30/minute to $0.10/minute. I would have gone with the unlimited everything, but I knew I wouldn't use the calling enough to bother. In the 3 years I have had the phone it has made 3 calls. 1 by me, and it was an accident. And I can't complain about the service, either, since I was one of the few people who could get a signal at my last workplace.

I won't deny it. I laughed at that. I was pleasantly surprised (for lack of a better term) that he let the goal go to Raymond. It reminds me of Sundin when they tried to credit him with an assist he didn't earn and he argued about it.

What movie(s) did you last see?
I saw it was on, but unfortunately on a channel I don't have. I was gonna watch it, but since I couldn't I watched Hot Tub Time Machine instead. And I'm still not sure what I think of that movie...

Our 30 year old washing machine is currently broken, so we almost have to do our laundry that way. I mean, I wouldn't trust the nearest river to get them clean, but washing by hand in the house is the current best method. It's either that or pay to do it... and that would just be silly. Paying to wash your laundry would be silly. Paying someone else to wash your laundry, on the other hand... Of course. I would definitely pay somebody else to wash my clothes, even when the washer isn't broken. Kinda sad, when you think about how little doing laundry involves.

I agree it means nothing. But who can honestly say they thought it would happen? Especially considering how they've played, which is to say, not well.

Well, by too much I didn't mean just the money. I have never liked contracts over 5 years. Also, Leafs are 3-0-0 to start the year. I can honestly say I didn't see that one coming.

At least they have the equivalent of most of his raise coming off the books next year. They'll finally stop having to pay Tucker and Armstrong ($1 million each) and Scrivens and Frattin's retained salaries will be gone (total of $500k.) Besides, if the Leafs didn't do it, somebody else would have. Agreed it was too much, though.

how many warning points do you have?
But all the cool kids have them... But I have none.

Valve's crazy revelations: SteamOS, the Steam Machine, and the Steam controller
Looks interesting, I'll have to keep an eye on the progress made.

I was shocked it was only for the pre-season, to be honest. As a Leafs fan, I'm happy about it. As a hockey fan, I'm not convinced it was enough. As for enforcers, I think they need to stay for now. However, they also need to remember their job.

How did you hear about Runescape?
My best friend told me about it in late 2001. I made an account at his house the following weekend.

No touch is not the way to go. The hybrid rule is better, and I've heard more players are starting to support it. Also, line brawl in the Leafs and Sabres game. 14 Fighting majors handed out halfway through the third.

are people becoming pickier about Facebook "friends"?
To answer your questions: 1- No noticeable change 2- Maybe a little more often, but not much 3- I always have been picky. I've only once been above 150 and that is only because I have a large family group (mother has 9 siblings, all but one of whom have kids) And to add: I have a few friend requests (that I sent, 2 more that people sent me) that are still pending after over a year, one even longer. I also personally caused a few of my "unfriendings". I think I'm sitting at 143 now, but I have a feeling that number will soon shrink even more.

I might cry if the jerseys ever got that bad. I can't even watch Spengler Cup because of them. I came here to post that very thing. I had a feeling we'd see that soon. I love the spirit of it.

I was unaware of that, as well. I can't see any real reason to penalize it. Besides that, they've missed quite a few of those calls this pre-season. As for canning the hybrid icing, I hope he's wrong. I can't think of a better way to make it safer without going right down to no-touch. I hate no-touch icing. It's too easy to exploit. At least with hybrid, you have a chance to beat it out.

The only one I'm fully in support of is the hybrid icing. The new penalty is pointless, I agree. I'm on the fence about visors, though. The only reason I'm not against them is that players already in the league, who don't wear them, still don't have to and new players coming into the league will already be used to them. I can't really support them with the new penalty in place, though, because that means people are now expected to punch visors during fights. Of course, then there are the new nets and the smaller goalie pads. I don't have a problem with either of those.

With the pre-season in progress, I'm curious as to opinions on the new rules (or those they're trying out). Hybrid Icing, 2 minute minor for removing your helmet before a fight, visors being mandatory for all new players, etc.
