  1. Will there be a return of the world 18 style pking? That was a fun place to stop by once in a blue moon, chiefly for spectating reasons...
  2. FFL 66 ruled. Awesome. People wanted gp? They went there. People wanted xp? They went there. I hope to find a lot of people in zamorak robes bustling there again soon
  3. Laws weren't double their current price (278) at the height of FFL 66 - They were ~300-350. Factoring in the occasional extra laws that can now be crafted, the price isn't really too much lower than it was then... (What you are able to buy with the same amount of money today is a different story, though.) I'm sure there's still a good supply of people who would run for such a company...
  4. If free trade never would have been taken out, this would be done on world 66 with laws. (hopefully it will be again...) Maybe that sort of thing will happen? No need for personal runners necessarily... That's how people got 99 back in the day, why not 200m? (blah blah effiigies blah blah)
  5. lots of repeats in there... as mentioned before the pkers must be at the bottom... If it was in terms of time it took to get all 99s or something I figure lilyuffie88 would be at the bottom v wouldn't account value be the total ge values of everything in someone's bank? [which is of course biased towards people who are good merchanters / old rare holders / biased against people who spent their money on 200m herb / pray / con / falling items etc.] (anyone care to post that table? it's arguably roughly on topic ;P)
  6. this is why funorb has no budget... i hope there's some counter-litigation...
  7. abyssal charms? -> (demand = rcers) obsidian? (demand = miners) talon beast charms? <-- (demand = fast xp people) what about these? thoughts? (also: blah blah they aren't primary charms they're seconds blah blah ... I know. but they are charms.......)
  8. If charms could be traded, which would make summoning very fast for some, how much do you think they would be going for? A few thousand for blues? A couple hundred for golds? Alternatively, how much would say, 50-99 cost just in charms? Would it be at the level of herblaw and prayer or down with firemaking and cooking? What would you be willing to pay for charms?
  9. Excellent! Wish I knew how to make that cash ;p Solid, unique, short, excellent goal.
  10. +100 @langer also: no stupid x options that make things slower the wildy bone yard the wildy for that matter abyss pkers :) LAW RUNNING WORLD 66! SERIOUSLY. There's no reason they can't make a trade limit exception for certain items in certain map areas. other rune running in general rcing nats being able to make money dragon items being worth a lot. deflation. a lot of it. fally world 2. varrock world 1. romeo and juliet. the old jad. the old cwars armor that looked different and people could recognize it apart from other stuff. the original cwars! sheep shearer :) the only official rs poll that they don't have in the poll archive :) tutorial island - the original the old mining animation the old teleport animation - agreed
  11. If I only knew how to go about doing this ... I would
  12. What they really need to do is have an option to toggle them off when you don't want them like you can with the ectofungus bone grinder. It totally ruined stringing bows and took out the market for that :| ... If you want to click less and get slower xp, sure, go for it, but don't drag my rate down too! If faster xp is the reward for clicking more, I'll take it.
  13. Boot fail. Period. Quest change fail. Sheep shearer was (technically, sort of) the first quest. (blah blah cook's assistant blah blah).. Yeah I know. Sheep shearer was started first. This unnecessary stuff annoys me. Don't fix the unbroken. "not up to the standards of other quests" - Let us apply this logic elsewhere: Bronze isn't up to the standards of today's easy to get armour. Let's remove it. I mean really, who uses bronze? Iron is clearly a perfect substitute. Oh, and those town guards. Those are clearly not up to snuff when it comes to the monsters of today attacking. Lets take them out too. ---------------------------- Speaking of losing players, am I correct in my thinking that there hasn't been 200k+ at any given time after the trade/wildy update? I think it peaked around 191k on bonus xp weekend. It had been ~250k peak a little before that...
  14. The CW article is .... well.. "...." about sums it up. "CW is melee based" - Wrong. Ice barrage. Enough said. "The new armour looks better." - Pfft. The armour was meant to be flashy. Name oh.. 1 person who played cw for the armour to get it for its stats. Seriously.. people didn't get it for the stats. It was for looks and to show how much CW was played. If people got it for its looks, it must have looked good. The new stuff looks like everything else.
  15. Options! I love options! Where are my options? New armour looks like it came from a muddy brawl. Do you like the muddy brawl look? Yes? Good. Take the new armour. Go have fun. Do you hate the muddy brawl look? Yes? Great! Ask Lanthus for a free cleaning. Go show off your awesome gold/black - silver/blue - red/blue armour that's so unique everyone knows what it is. Feel free to go get it dirty if you change your mind. Go fight something. I'm sure you'll get it dirty again. Then guess what? People who like the new stuff: happy. People who despise the new stuff: happy. Boom. Solved.
  16. Well sure. I buy that. I think there should be an option to convert it back and forth though. Perhaps during combat it could get dirty/torn/whatever. People who like the new stuff: Fight. Boom. Dirty, veteran don't-even-think-about-messing-with-me look. People who like the old stuff: Ask Lanthus for a free cleaning. Boom. Clean, shiny, gold stuff. Options are good.
  17. Absolutely. Proper CW rewards are gold and black. Epic looking. Rich looking. No questions about it. New stuff looks like it was dragged out of a muddy hole. Would you rather play a lot for a nice shiny gold reward that makes you look spiffy and rich Like a true decked out pro? Or some stuff that looks like wood/dirt? I mean come on... gold has value chiefly in that it looks good anyway right? Its shiny! It looks good! People got it because it looks good! Obviously not for the stats. It looks great. Dirty, brownish colors that all basically look the same no matter what level of armor? Why would you go for that?
  18. 1) It looks like it used to with the centered news stories and no big side column thing +1 2) It looks like they renamed the whole game because of 1 update -1 3) They changed it from there are currently 113,459 people playing to 113,459 people currently playing online worldwide - Do they really need the "worldwide"? +0 4) The big square ad takes up a lot of space and is more intrusive than the old banner on top -1 5) Is it a little bit shorter so basically the whole thing almost fits into 1.3 screens or is that just me? +1
  19. 1) haha at extreme spelunking 2) I think its a minigame. Its sort of a cross between stealing creation and barrows. Barrows = Go underground to fight stuff and get rewards Stealing Creation = Use skills to some end in a multiplayer minigame where skillers can help fighters Dungeoneering = Go underground to fight stuff and get rewards where skillers can help the fighters
  20. Ok.. so... I was thinking that it would be cool if there was some sort of historical timeline of elements like major rs changes, like a thing for all the significant updates and when they happened, possibly with before and after pics, if available or desired, and of course a little commentary that explained each element and why it was significant... it could have stuff like 'rs2 started', rs2 released, <new skill released>, trade limit imposed.. stuff like that... but obviously more... new stories and other noteworthy things.. in some easily browsable timeline format that people could scroll through and learn about rs and tip.it etc. through it.. perhaps being able to say.. see the whole thing at once , with a thing on the side to select a zoom for like <2008 Events> and then like <March> and then it would be zoomed in to a list of events that happened then... or something... it would put the news archives into a more visual format that would be more easily searchable by date than the news archives currently are.. of course, there would need to be someone to make the timeline so that people could add stuff to it and then someone would have to determine what kind of information that should be on it, then people would need to actually go and write up stuff about each element.. and of course that brings up the problem of having to update it as time goes along, which would bring up the problem of how the more recent ideas should be written about 1) should new stuff be postponed a bit and written like the older ones with a more hindsight perspective in mind 2) would the new stuff just be written as it comes along in a sort of general format and then perhaps edited later..? ideas?
  21. On a separate note, in the combat guide, where it explains the special ability of the enhanced excalibur, it could also say that the hitpoints are recovered in 5 groups of 4. See http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=comba ... tm#special
  22. There is no period after the description of the location to get the hunter cape in the achievement capes guide. "Visit the hunter expert in the hut in Feldip hills " [Crew: Fixed.]
  23. http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=stealing_creation.htm [hide=Done!]1: Introduction: Grammar: "In the wilderness, just south of the Bounty Hunter Crater, strange phenomena has been occurring." --- 'has' should be changed to 'have.' 2: Introduction: "At the end of the twenty minutes which constitutes a full game, whichever team has the most points wins." --- The game also ends if all sources of Sacred Clay have been exhausted, at which point if there is more than one minute left, the timer drops to 1 minute giving time for people to deposit any remaining clay they have. 3: Sacred Clay: "At first, without any tools, all you can do is gather clay from Level One Clay Fragments. " --- Any class of clay can be obtained without tools, player level allowing, it usually just takes longer to get higher level clay without a tool. 4: Sacred Clay: Spelling: "...(a safe area, which contains a table for dropping off clay or items, a mystic who can show you the amounts and types of clay available, and tables which store any items you team may have dropped off)..." --- "you team may have dropped off" should be "your team may have dropped off" 5: Sacred Clay: "The resources are tied to the skills - a swarm resource requires the use of a butterfly net and is tied to your hunting level, a pool requires a harpoon and the fishing skill, a tree requires a hatchet and woodcutting, and finally mining requires the mining skill and a pickaxe. Not all of these may be present in a game; they appear randomly, so having balanced skill levels is an aid." --- 'requires' should be 'uses' 6: Sacred Clay Equipment: Spelling/Grammar: "Weapon costs 26 Points" should be "Weapons cost 26 points"[/hide] Done. ~SerpentEye
  24. All I see is: they slowed down skills significantly.. like fishign and fletching and herblore!! Not fair!! i don't want to spend 40 extra hours getting my fishing from 92-99 that I wouldn't have had to spend back before x.. x is lazy... If you need it, fine.. Give me the option to not have to use it though.. I want fast xp even if i have to click continuously to get it!
  25. I got the download just fine :D I can't use it though because i don't have a machine with 1gb ram.. Im totally living in 2003! :( Took me 7+ hours to get the 2.44gb too
