    Desert treasure

A few notes of Desert treasure Blood diamond: Pestle and mortar in toolbelt work for crushing the garlic. Dessous is extreemly easy to kill, I used air waves wearing batwing robes. I didnt even think of eating food, he just took very very few lp off me - and he died so fast that I was not even near building enough adrenaline for treshold abilities. Ice diamond For this part, I brought a terrorbird filled with monkfish, and with that I was able to do the whole run in one go, without banking, 8 monks left when finished (I am currently 71 attack and strenght, 72 defence, 74 constitution, 77 magic) . I suggest you add to the guide that it is adviced to bring a bob carrying food. Killing Kamil was almost as easy as killing Dessous, except that he kept me frozen a while. Almost all damage i took was from the environment, but yea hp loss and stat draining is massive - and the terrorbird scrolls does not let you run, run energy drainage is massive as well. Shadow diamond Yes, I can confirm that you indeed still can get poisoned after eoc when failing picking the lock on the chest! I took 25 damage from failing lock, and 285 damage from poison - but it wore off very very quick! I think poison hit me 5-6 times or so, then stopped. Oh, and at lvl 72 thieving, I had to go back and get more lockpicks, I broke 14 of them before I managed to open chest!!! Killing Damis - jagex messed up here - the skeletons are not agressive, nor are the shadow dogs, as long as you remember to not use abilities with multi target effect, they ignore you! I think Damis is very very easy to kill in both forms, I managed to build up adrenaline to use treshold ability ONCE. And no, I didnt think of eating or potting, took basically no damage - without praying that is. Smoke diamond Same thing here - boss fight is a joke. I feel that the figths are way way way too easy and unbalanced atm. And yes, I sent a bug report to jagex that killing desert treasure bosses is way too easy.

    The tourist trap

question still stands though: is there a way to climb out nowadays, or is that changed and getting the key is the new and only method? Will try to go back and look again, trying different graphical settings - but would be great if someone else could check it as well. I felt stupid running around in there looking at the walls ;)

    The tourist trap

Seems like this has changed a bit. GETTING STARTED The mercenary captain is now lvl 21 I got put in jail and lost my key, went out the window allright - but no matter how i looked I could not find a place to climb to leave the camp. Can someone please doublecheck, is the place to climb out still there? However, if you leave jail through window, then enter prison through door and search the table, you will find both metal key to the camp and they cell door key so you can leave camp through gate. ESCAPING Telling jokes to the cart driver, wording is slightly different in quest than in guide: "One wagon wheel says to the other, 'i´ll see you around'" "One good turn deserves another" "Fired... no, shot perhaps!" At the end of conversation, it is very important to choose option "you cant leave me here, I'll get killed!" When you say that, he tells you to jump in the cart. If you instead say "good luck" to him like I did first, you are immediatly thrown in jail, and Ana was back down in the mines. No option to manually jump on the cart, no option to do anything but to start all over again with whole barrel procedure down in the mines!!!
  5. I did kight waves yesterday with Moly, combat stats in the 70's, combat lvl 140. The guide is fairly thin for the Knight waves. I post what I did and what experiecne I had - but if anyone else did it post eoc update, your experience would be useful too :) I did it with full Guthan set. I didnt eat a single piece of food. No not one piece of food. Guthan set kept my health over 75% all the time, but I didnt take much damage at all. I had 2 super restore, 3 dose. I had one super set, 4 dose. That was WAY too little pots to keep stats up. I tried to be careful during the fight and not pot too often, still I ended the fight with 0 in several combat stats. Luckily I was still able to do a little damage using abilities. Reward: correction needed here: miniquest unlocks prayers chivalry, piety, rigour and augury.
  6. Just a small note: spade in toolbelt will work.
  7. Placing the statues - I had problems with it, I simply couldnt find the second plinth!! I suggest something like this to be added to the guide: Statue of saradomin: place the statue on the plinth next to the white tree. Statue of a king: place the statue on the plint on the eastern wall near the garden entrance, next to the yellow orchids.
  8. Delphiniums: if your marigold die (as mine did) and you replant without speaking to Elstan, he will not take your marigolds. IE, you need to speak with him right before planting. If your crop die, you must speak with him again before planting a new seed.
  9. Regarding tools and the use of toolbelt: Breaking and grinding the rune essence: toolbelt tools will work (pestle and mortar) Fishing rod: toolbelt will NOT work Secateaurs - dont know, was farming herbs while doing the quest so without thinking of it i had my magic secatearus wielded during quest. Spade, dibber, trowel, rake - toolbelt will work.
  10. Confirming anvil needed - and whatever toolbelt tool with it. with full toolbelt, just use essence with anvil.

    watchtower

Regarding items: toolbelt work for pickaxe and pestle and mortar. I suggest to add candle/other lightsource among items needed even if its easily obtained during quest. Regarding monsters: the only one you actually have to kill is Gorad and the Shamans (but you dont fight the shamans, you just take them out with the potion). All the other monsters listed are not part of the quest, they just happen to be in the quest area and you can run past them.

    Troll stronghold

Questing on newbie again This started bad for me. I did the previous troll quests *after* the update of Burthorps where everything changed. Also did the previous troll quests without guide. Troll stronghold quest guide starts: "If you don't have any climbing boots, go to Freda in her house and buy boots from her". I spoke to lenghts with Freda, tried every option twice. Nothing about boots, though the dialouge made me smile. I first had to go to the ambush and try to climb - in game message: you need climbing boots to climb this (or something along that line). After I had done that, Freda happily sold me boots. At end of quest, return to Dunstan - you might want to mention that Dunstan is in north east part of Burthorpe outside the sword shop, I sure had forgot that!

    Older quests

I'll try to look out for toolbelt tools when I do quests. Regarding Legend's quest, toolbelt work just fine - pickaxe, hammer, machete. In fact, when you search the cupbord for the machete *first time* you get message "you dont need another machete" if you have a machete in your toolbelt already, which I had (I got it from tai bwo wannai village I think, but dont remember) Regarding Druidic Ritual toolbelt works just fine - chisel and fishing rod. Regarding Eadgars ruse: Burthorpe and taverly lodestone teleports are extreemly useful while of course game necklace work just as well. Spirit terrorbird with scrolls can replace energy potions, depending on what suits the player best, terror bird with scrolls saves inventory space if you have the level needed, its quite a bit of running. Guide tell you that toolbelt work, but imo that info should be included at the very start of the quest when listing the items required.

    Older quests

Hi. I am currently doing many of the older quests with my noob, and there are a few things most quest guides of older quests often fail to mention, simply because it wasnt added to the game until several years after quest was released. The 3 things are: * Lodestone teleports. Makes getting around so much easier. Saves space in inventory since you dont need to take teleport runes. Sure, there are quests with fight where 1-click teleports are a huge advantage, but when you dont have to leave quickly because your character is taking damage, lodestone teleports are just wonderful. Quest guides listing that need/recommendation to bring this or that teleport had me confused a few times. * Toolbelt. Do items in toolbelt work or do they not? Talking about stuff like hammer, tinderbox, hatchet, machete, chiesel etc... * Familiar: is it allowed during quest or not? Are the fights multi combat so that a fighting familiar will be an advantage, or is a beast of burden better, or a healing familiar? Personally I am of the opinion that a spirit terror bird is the perfect quest companion, it carry your food, it fights and it's scroll help with run energy. Reason for this post: I just did Legends quest. Among the items in toolbelt there is hammer, machete and pickaxe, with a full toolbelt you dont have to think about them, they are with you allways. Spirit terror bird was with me all the way, as a bob, single combat so it could not fight, but sure was helpful to have scrolls when running around. And sorry, no I didnt pay full attention to specific details in other quests I did, it took me a while to realize that info about lodestones, toolbeld and familiars simply wasnt in the guides. Anyways, if you at some point look over the guides for older quests, you might want to add some of the above.
  15. After reading this topic I went to Thessalias shop and tried it out myself, wanting to see first hand how bad it was. I agree that it was never near as bad earlier as it is now. Especially first change to raw onion outfit, then do certain emotes is gross. I am not happy with what can be done with basic clothing atm.
  16. If I remember correct, original source of that list was the herblaw hiscore list before the skill was added to the game, and Rab was the one who saved that list in the first place. I'm still around
  17. Ello I just did quest "contact!" on my secondary character, lvl 87 combat. One thing the guide fail to mention is how increadibly helpful a familiar is when you are low-mid lvl combat. Personally I used a terror bird loaded with monks. That terror bird *both* took main part of the scarab's melee attacks *and* provided me with a lot of extra food which i happily ate during the final fight.

  19. I found it fun until getting the last 15 levels of the 2 hard companions. Then it was just repetitive.
  20. Please do talk to us in game every now and then - or we worry that you are not you. A silent Leesters is.... something to worry over ;)
  21. My lower account was about 600 lvl total when I made it member at end of january. Personally I decided on not train combat at all for the sake of training combat, but to only train combat in dungeons and doing slayer. So I have trained strenght in dungeons with 2h sword, att and def while slaying. Actually my first dungeoneering goal was to get a bone crusher - to get prayer exp while slaying. If you join a clan, there is wonderful wonderful exp to be had in the citadel, both working at the citadel (especially crafting, firemaking and cooking) but also when charging citadel ring and working on skills normal way with the ring in inventory. Friend with lvl 1 crafting got to lvl 43 in a few hours at loom at tier 5 citadel. For fishing I personally like mini game fish flingers. Once you understand the minigame it is very nice exp at all levels - normal fishing bores me ;) Rc: make sure to do wicked hood daily, do best rune you can. Get duel rings and craft fire runes, that is nice and quick teleport back and forth between duel arena and cw bank - or if you prefer to bank by one of the lodestone teleports. For farming, just buy and farm the seeds that are cheap at ge to start. Low level herbs, tomatoes, sweetcorn, oak, willow, apple, banana, whatever. But do make sure to do a daily run to all tree patches. Arhein in catherby will sell you 40 pineapples per day, get them and make supercompost, and always use that. I pay farmer if i happen to have the stuff, otherwise i just leave it and hope for the best, and often crops survive. No big loss if they die when using cheap seeds, is of course different when you get level up and eventually start to use more expensive tree seeds. For low level herblore, you can buy guam at ge and eye of newt pack and vial pack, and then sell your attack pots at ge without too much of a loss.
  22. I heard that "a piece of food is a piece of food is a peace of food" meaning that when your companions eat, it doesnt matter at all what food you give them so you can as well give them cabbage instead of monks. I did a bunch of runs with companions eating cabbage, and it worked well. May be worth checking out, cabbage sure is cheaper than monks ;)
  23. Glad to see you are back :) If you plan on smelting a lot of addy in the future, maybe you should do some dunging first and buy a coal bag? There are also other dungeon rewards that are handy for skilling. The gem bag to hold your gems when you mine (and if you look at the current price for uncut diamonds, you do want to pick up and sell the ones you stumble over), the scroll of efficiency to save bars when you smith (but mainly work for multibar items), scroll of life and scroll of cleansing for herblore and farming benefits.
  24. This lazy packrat started to sell off her pots from *last* bonus exp weekend when this weekend was announced, and sold herb supplies from kingdom the day before bonus weekend started. Finally made some money ;)
  25. Hello. Will you please add Muni1967 in game. It is a danish friend of mine, age goes with birthdate in username. She asked me about impling hunting, and you taught me all I know so I referred to you :)
