  1. Yes, it would be good with confirmation on a lot of the things I posted, especially the number of events it's possible to get on the different routes. Erm, I like the minigame, but since I am high combat level, I see taking route 1-2 too many times a waste of time ;) More data is also needed to be sure what it takes to get the maximum rewards with different companions and routes. The things I am pretty sure of is the prayer exp from ghasts and the number of NPC's you get in combat events with different companions.
  2. No, there is blue, pink, yellow and brow dwarf outfits. You buy them in Keldagrim.
  3. Here is my log, on which I based the above post: (note: the colour of the tomes you get is wrong, you currently get yellow tomes on route 3, blue tomes on route 2 and red tomes on route 1. The amount of exp you get seems to be correct even if the colour is wrong. I have sent in a bug report to Jagex) Route 3 Mage snakes, tentacle -> 134 coal, 67 iron Fyiona shades, ghasts, snakes ->153 silver bars Mage ghasts, shades ->129 silver bars Fyiona tentacle, nail beasts -> 614 pure essence Mage Birth of ghast (fed 2, killed 1 ghast), bridge, tentacle -> 656 pure ess Fyiona juvinates (black kite, mithril scimitar, black legs), Abidor Crank, juvinates AGAIN! 4. You dont have to kill the soldiers, you can kill the workers if that feels better for you. Any kalphite will do :)
  5. There are a bunch of monsters in game that by all logic should count as undead, but doesnt... Ghasts in mort myre is another example, and I am sure there are more. I dont know if Jagex forgot about them or why they are not undead... Oh... and the Barrows brothers ;)
  6. When I died at barrows.... I kept fury, guthan plate and guthan skirt. Lost the 2 other guthan items, whip, assorted stuff.
  7. Crumble undead does not work on vampires or ghasts.
  8. big difference in str lvls their tho. Yeah of course. I must admit I havent tried the blessed axe, but in my opinion rod of ivandis works very well since it has special powers against vampires, and I seriously doubt I would hit much better with the blessed axe.
  9. With rod of ivandis, I have hit 17 on the juvinates (wearing fury amulet)
  10. I agree on this. take a cheap hatchet, a pickaxe, a glory amulet and eventually some cheap armour. Paddle a waka out in the wilderness, mine a mix of addy and mithril, run south, glory to edge, repeat.
  11. If you cant find another player selling them, you can either -go to mos'le harmless, and kill snakes. All snakes on the island there drop 1 skin. This is the most forward strategy. -do the temple trekking/burgh de rott ramble minigame. Giant snakes is one kind of event you may meet, and they can be skinned if you have a knife in your inventory, you can get 2-5 skins per snake. It may take several trips to get snakes though, so may be time consuming - or may be fast. - do the tai bwo wannai minigame. One of the things that jump out of the jungle when you chop it is snakes, that drop 1 skin when killed. Getting enough hides for a pair of chaps this way is definitly time consuming. You will need 12 hides for 1 pair of chaps.
  12. Crumble undead does not work on Juvinates. Thats's ok I guess. Crumble undead also does NOT work on Ghasts, and that makes no sense in my opinion. Same with the salve amulet.
  13. Salve amulet, nope. I found the most effective against the tentacle monster is 4 quick dds specials, after that change to whip. Always make sure you fight the tentacle that is attacking your companion, and kill off one tentacle before starting on next, take the head out last.
  14. I usually bring both, salve for fighting the undead, glory (or fury) for fighting the living monsters.
  15. Using a cannon speeds up slayer levelling. Cannon balls cost a fortune though unless you make them yourself. You can use your time on F2P to stock up on steel bars to make cannon balls from. Also, unless you have the bones to peaches spell already, stock up on the runes you will need to get it, especially if you cant afford to get a Guthan set. Eventually also stock up on other runes you will need for other spells you plan to use (for example mind runes *if* you plan to use slayer dart for Turoths and Kurasks)
  16. Sorry, but that made me laugh. I can understand your frustration though. No matter where in game a group gather, if they stand around long enough doing nothing but chat, the randoms will come. I must admit I never have seen all randoms come at exactly the same moment though, usually they come a little spread out to the different people. I can imagine it eventually was hard to tell what random who belonged to what person when they all came at once. Did eventually your whole clan log into that server at the same time, I mean did you all walk to the area on a different server before switching to the server for the war? If so, that may *eventually* be the reason for all randoms coming at the same moment?
  17. Another way to go is to increase the chance of a good reward. Personally I wouldn't mind going through the trouble of making rod of ivandis + guthix balance *if* it gave useful loot instead of the black/mith/addy armour/weps you get now. For example watermelon/strawberry seeds, blood runes, noted herblore seconds and clues - number of items and clue level depending on level of juvinate.
  18. I'm not sure I understand what you need help with, how to find the location, or how to get there, or how to get there and back to safety without dieing.... ;) And yes, must be north since south is outside the map. Anyways, tip.it has a very good guide with both a coordinate locator and a full list of coordinates, you will find it here: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=treasure_trails.htm If you use the locator or look at the list of coordinates, you will find that it is at the rune rocks in the wilderness, north of the lava maze. That is one of the more dangerous locations for a treasure hunter, since pkers often hang out there, so be careful. Bring your clue, sextant, watch and chart. Eventually other stuff as food or energy potions, a weapon (most people prefer a poisoned dragon dagger) and whatever you feel comfortable with bringing. When you dig a zamorak wizard will pop up and fight, so turn on protect from magic prayer before you dig. When you have killed him, dig at the same spot again to find the chest. Stay alive while leaving the wilderness. Did that help? Or did I completly misunderstand your question.
  19. They work, but they're very slow and weak. I wouldn't recommend them unless you somehow find a really great safespot that also shelters yours character. Oh, I was more like thinking along the lines of shooting one arrow at each of the vampires to draw their attention to *me* before they noticed my companion, and after that use a melee weapon. Will try that, thanks :) Edit: I also noticed 2 improvements to the minigame from how I remember it before (but it has been many months since last I played). Anyways, if you give your companion food, and they dont need it before arriving to the destination, the next person you take on the track back will have that food stored. Also, if I remember correct, if you logged out in the middle of a trekk before you logged back into Mort Myre with companion gone and no reward, but now you log back into the place you logged out, with companion and can continue to destination. Did anyone else notice those changes - or is it just me who have bad memory, or was it perhaps changes done to the minigame long time ago?
  20. Try this http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=616866
  21. Well salve amulet does extra damage to undead monsters. I think it works on vampires and maybe nailbeasts. I'm pretty definite it would work on the lumberjacks just because they even have the word "undead" in their name :-w Hmmm, definitly worth trying out, and no matter what, a salve amulet is great to have in inventory if you meet shades in Mortton. The juvinates is the worst monster to get in my opinion, I loose my companion to them fairly often. If a juvinate attack my companion, they most of the time are dead before I manage to get the juvinate down to half health so I can use rod of ivandis+guthix balance. Anything that would allow me to do damage to the juvinates quicker would certainly be a great help. I also wonder if anyone has tried silver bolts on juvinates? I know from before that all silver melee weapons work (sickle, wolfbane, silverlight/darklight, rod of ivandis).
  22. How its even possible? Compare with sandwich lady for example, no price if you take wrong sandwich, maze gives no price if you are too slow to find the route to center. Some randoms simply give you unlimited tries to get things right before they let you leave, others dont.
  23. Regarding slayer masters: The 4 lowest slayer masters has different combat level requirements to take assignments, Shilo master who is the highest also has a slayer level requirement, you can find them all here http://tip.it/runescape/?page=slayer_gu ... ayermaster As long as you meet the combat level requirement, you can go to which slayer master you want, I suggest taking starting with the edgeville master. No slayer master will give you an assignment you dont have the slayer level assignment to meet. Regarding quests, in addition to what you already have listed: Druidic ritual as one of your first quests, to be able to start the herblore skill. You will need herblore levels to do hero's quest, and you will want to do hero's quest to be able to recharge your own glory amulets. Tree gnome village - to get access to spirit tree for free teleports. Very useful before you have access to members magic teleport spells (and yeay, useful later on as well). Later on also do the Grand Tree quest, to ride on the gnome gliders since they take you to spots far away from any other teleport sports. Plaque city - for access to Ardounge teleport, which makes getting around a lot easier.
  24. If you want the barrows gloves, you have to do all subquests of Recepie for disaster. So simply start there, first Cooks assistant which is needed to start recepie for disaster, and after that the first introquest in RFD itself. Take a look here for what other quests you need to get done before you can finish the whole RFD (scroll down on that page). http://kbase.runescape.com/viewarticle. ... le_id=2510
