Nothing as far as I know, same with watermelon. Either run to bank or drop them. Personally I mainly farm them at catherby where bank is close. Another option is to farm one patch with tomatoes or strawberries, harvest that one first and put in sacks/baskets, then harvest your patch with sweetcorn, that way you can fit it into one inventory most of the time.
  2. As a defender, your primary goal is to make sure NO runners escape, since that give penalty to the whole team. Your secondary goal is to lure runners to trap since that give you extra points. What I do is this: Call to healer first thing, ALWAYS. Stock up on machine. Drop the "WRONG" food around the runners exit area, but still at least 2 squares away from exit. This will make runners turn around, and you will have another chance to trap them or cannon them. Then drop right food at cannon and between cannon and where runners enter. Pick up hammer and logs, fix trap if needed. Run back towards machine, stock up again. Repeat. Keep in mind that you can drop food very quick when you run around by just left clicking it. So wrong food near exit, right food near traps. And make sure you call the healer as quick as you can as soon as food type change.
  3. There are some capes that require your work and not your money. They earn you more respect in my opinion. Take agility for example. Free levelling, a wonderful emote, and nice skill to have high. Thieving... doesnt cost a bit, instead it earns you money. Sadly a very bad emote, but still a nice cape to have. And if you do pyramid plunder, you will also get pharaos sceptre on the way, if lucky a few of them. Hunter. Save your chinchompas for your own range training, and get 2 very nice capes. Fishing. Sure its a fairly common cape, but its still a cape that require your own work. Melee skill capes of course.
  4. If the economic argument isn't enough, you have to think about the following (dont reply here, just think for yourself) How are your grades now? Bad? Great? OK, but could be better? Generally parents think its ok that you play games if your grades are good, or at least average and they see you put some work into it. How is your physical health? If you are in good shape, parents dont mind you playing games as much as if they see you fat and getting exhausted from just walking up a hill. How much do you help with housework? Anything else you and your parents often argue about? Think it over, then try to make a deal with your parents, to promise to something in return for them paying for the game. Then stick to your promise and any similar question will be easier to solve in the future :)
  5. Always do what you enjoy doing, that is the whole point of playing a game. If you are sick of warriors guild atm, simply take a break. If you're not in the mood to fish as suggested above, just do something else. If you're not in the mood to do something where you make money, simply do something where you at least doesnt loose money or food. Do a few slayer tasks from a master who doesnt give you very hard tasks to get variation. Go kill some easy monsters with decent drops, for example those who drop a fair amount of herbs (thugs or chaos druids) or pure ess (like banshees for example) or other raw material. Play a few games of pest control. Perhaps you manage to get some att/str/def/hp level, and that in turn will make it easier when you decide to go back to warriors guild. Do a quest. Work on a skill you havent worked on for a long time, to get variation. Bug a friend, and do whatever they happen do at the moment. Play a minigame just for fun. Wear ring of life and a few not too valuable items, and go explore somewhere. Just remember to have fun :)
  6. Old topic doesnt necessarily mean dead topic. If I could change one thing I would bring Thrandor the smith back. In RSC he was in Varrock, and changed skirts to legs or legs to skirts for no cost. With him in game, legs and skirts have the same value, no matter if it is smithable legs/skirts or not, both on free and members worlds.
  7. I am getting "your account is already logged in, try again in 60 seconds" No worries, it happens every now and then.
  8. I believe I've read on forums that the chrystal saw does not work when "building" monsters for your dungeon, which seems logic to me. No clue about other stuff. I suggest you post your suggestion here http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=468959 since chances are tip.crew doesnt see it otherwise
  9. You are missing something very important here if you are using black hides AND praying at the same time. If you pray against magic, then they will not hurt you, then there is no point in wearing black hides - instead you should wear stuff to make your prayers drain as slow as possible which means get as high prayer bonus as you can, proselyte armour if you have it, if not monk robes is fine and cheap. You should also kill them as quickly as possible which means maxing out your offensive bonus, salve amulet since it increase strenght and accuracy against undead, zammy book which has both prayer bonus and offensive bonus, boots with strenght bonus. My setup when going there is usally proselyte armour, whip, rune boots, zammy prayerbook, salve amulet and nosepeg, similar to what sevenphotos and x_martins_x suggested. If you DONT use protection prayers, that is when you should wear armour with best possible magic defence you have. Some people with high combat prefer to melee in black hides, eat when needed - and not use prayer unless there is an emergency.
  10. I do the same. Advice is free, and happily given to anyone who acutally is interested. Items is *never* given to strangers, but happily to friends - friends who does NOT ask for it. Cash is something I never give away.

I always use the C I P fairy ring. Tip.it has a fairy ring map that is very useful: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=fairy_ring_map.htm and nothing happens with the skill. It still says "next level at 14,391,160" even when you are over that amount of exp.
  12. I suggest you choose a monster that in addition to dropping clues also drop reasonably good loot, so definitly not hellhounds who only drop bones. That way you will at least get something back for your time. Ankous are good since they drop a lot of runes, but I am not sure if there is a ranging spotsince I hate ranging myself :P Greater demons can definitly be ranged for example in ogre enclave, bring telegrab runes for the rune. erm, i am sure there are several others, but cant think of any atm :) But you did get a link from meol :)
  13. I agree with this. They may have made changes to the castle when adding the new quest.
  14. also, if it says ruby amulet, make sure it is *not* enchanted to become an amulet of strenght.
  15. You have gotten a lot of good advice already, both on the subject on herblore and money making. Here are a few more things. Sooner or later you will need herblore levels for quest requirements. So no matter what, it is good that you like herblore :) As I am sure you know, buying raw materials is expensive. Collecting it yourself takes time. So before you run off and buy a lot of stuff, think about how your money is best used, and what is reasonably easy to do yourself. Vials: There is a *huge* difference in price when buying from other players and when buying from shops in the game. I suggest that whenever you are in Ardounge, or Taverly, or Shilo village or at any other place that sell vials - buy what the shop currently have in stock. Also do "hand in the sand" quest and have Bert haul sand in your bank since making them yourself is cheap and nice crafting exp. Herbs: In addition to buy from other players you can - kill monsters yourself. Chaos druids has already been suggested, in addition to them thugs in edgeville dungeon and many lower level slayer monsters (like banshees for example) are great herb droppers. Good combat exp while you are at it, so it will not be wasted time. - farm herbs. Keep all seeds you get from drops, and farm as you go along. In my opinion this is a very good way of getting herbs - and limp roots! - Do quests "throne of miscellania" and "royal trouble" and use your money to have the miscellania pixel workers to work for you. I suggest to let them collect herbs and maples. Sell the maples to get money back, use tree seeds you get to level your farming. And... I personally suggest to keep *all* herbs you get. Do *not* sell what you cant use, and do not let others identify herbs for you - as your level rise you will be able to do it yourself. It is very nice to level enough to be able to identify a new herb, identify the stock that sit in your bank, and get another level just from that :P Seconds: Same here, try and collect most of it yourself, at least until you get your herblore level up a bit. Having a house, and move it every now and then may be something to consider as investment: Unicorn horns: definitly wilderness black unicorns. Take a glory amulet, a weapon(preferably dd(++), and wear top (+ eventually legs) of dragon hide. Kill for full inventory, tele with glory to edge, bank, repeat. If a pker get you, you will loose nothing of value. Spider eggs: Edgeville dungeon or the road over the mountains towards the elven lands (accessable after regicide) Eye of newt is one of the easiest second to get - so I suggest to keep doing those low level pots for quite a while. Ashes! Do shades of mortton quest to be able to make serum 207! That way you get more exp for your tarromin potions - and use an easier second ingredient as well. House in Relekka: then boat to waterbirth island where there are mass amounts of snape grass. Tele with glory or ring of duelling to bank, tele back to house, repeat. Get a LARGE stock while you are at it. Another option is to take a trip to Waterbirth island every time you go to miscellania to suck up for your pixel workers. House with teleportportral to canifis: go to house, through portral to canifis, pick mushrooms in Mort myre, tele to house, recharge prayer at house altar, through portral to canifis, bank in canifis, repeat. White berries: easy to collect once you have done quest "roaving elves" since there is a spawn in elven lands. Limpwurt roots: farming is absolutly the best way to get them. Spend some time stealing from master farmer to get some seeds, not only limps but others as well to level your farming. Oh, and the new barbarian fishing, with roe and caviar may be of use for some extra exp. I have not tried myself, so I dont really know. There is a guide on that in the archieve of wisdom.
  16. I just wanted to say thankyou for a well written post Sevenphotos :) You are absoulutly correct that no resources are generated during pking, only consumed and redistributed. I dont have much to say on the subject of pking, since it simply doest't suit my personallity to pk.
  17. Burthorpe is north of heroes guild, which is north of Taverly. Easiest way to get there is to use the games necklace teleport.
  18. Contact if you plan to do pyramid plunder to raise your thieving level, since one of the rewards for contact is acess to a bank in Sophanem Fremennik isles - for the helm of neitiznot Lunar Diplomacy and Dream Mentor for access to Lunar magics
  19. The gloves are reward for the "recepie for disaster" quest. The quest has several subquests of various difficulty, and for each subquest you do you can buy better gloves.
  20. Lets see (taking a quick look at the news archieve :P ) Hunter skill Charter ships to move around easier in the world Capes of achievement - can be bought when you get 99 in a skill Costume room in your POH that saves a *lot* of bankspace Update on treasure trails to include Uri emotes - and lots of new items German language server New minigames: sourceress garden, Burgh-de-Rott ramble, barbarian assult, Impetuous Impulses, update on pest control. New looks to many monsters and towns, area sounds Many new quests of course - some with quite nice rewards as new areas, banks at new places and such Karamja archievement diary, others to come. Best karamja gloves gives a very handy teleport to shilo. A huge increase in autoers and gold farmers :(
  21. I agree on the wilderness course. Wear nothing of value (just eventually a weapon), bring some cheap food, bring some friends because its more fun that way, get an agility potion to be able to enter, and get running. If pkers come, you will most likely die, on the other hand you will not loose anyting of value. Just change world, and go out there again. When going there, I suggest sneaking up on the western side of the wilderness. Sure ardounge teleport lever is quicker, but its a lot more dangerout to take that way. It is good experience out there. Monkey course is not good at your level since you will fall a *lot*.
  22. It depends on what risks you like to take. One way is to take a waka from Edge into wilderness, run to the hobgob mine (if you do I suggest to mine a mix of mithril and addy), run a short bit south and tele back to edge with glory amulet when full. Glory amulet let you tele from level 30 wilderness. Risky, since it is the wilderness, but can be done in you choose time and world wisely (choose a world where its morning local time and not on a weekend). Another way is to mine in Jatizo (sp?). Bank is farily near, several addy rocks. 4 rocks are no problems since they are near the entrance, the other rocks are guarded by aggressive ice trolls - but if you like to combine some combat training with your mining you may want to try it out. Be careful though, since the trolls can do quite a bit of damage. Or go under the grand tree, and mine a mix of everything that is there: mithril, silver, addy, gold - and eventually some coal and superheat as you go. Personally I cant stand mining just one kind of ores, the respawn time bores me to death so I always hit whatever rocks that are in the area. Or you could of course server jump. Go to any mine you like, hit the rocks, change to another world, repeat.
  23. I completly agree with countzeroh, if you can't answer yes on the above question, then there is no reason to play. No matter how many other reasons others can come up with, it all comes down to if you find the game enjoyable or not.
  24. My advice is to go in there with one or a few good friends. Its difficult yes, and the deeper in you get, the stronger monsters you meet, but it's all multi combat so being a few people means you can help each other, thereby using less food each on the way in - and saving more food for the final fight. Final fight you have to do alone of course.
  25. I believe you need to do all except one of the subquest and the final fight. What subquests you do doesnt matter, nor the order you do them in.
