  1. I am suprised that noone mentioned Anne McCaffrey, she is one of my favourite authors. She is most known for her books about the Dragons of Pern, but she has written much more than that. If I am to pick a favourite book, erm well perhaps "Moreta, dragonlady of Pern" or perhaps "Damia". Well, there is a lot to choose from. When it comes to crime novels, I suggest you check Roslund&Hellström out. It's 2 swedish writers but the novels are translated to english. I believe "3 seconds" is the one I like best, but all 5 novels they have written so far are great.

    Enders Game

I only read Enders Game and loved it. I always meant to get hold of the others but never got around to do it.
  3. *Waves to Lead and all the other oldies* :D
  4. He has not played runescape for many years. He says "I hate that game" if you happen to mention it to him ;)
  5. Another thing: You would want to start all archievement diarys as soon as possible. Then forget about the diarys and go around and do your quests and everyday stuff in the game. Every now and then your daily wearabouts will happen to be something that acutally also is a diary task - and you will get a message that your archievement diary has been updated.
  6. I suggest you take a look at this topic: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=340581 It is old yes, but still valid. Personally I prefer to steal level 1 clues from HAM members, and to get other clues from slayer tasks, *many* of the monsters you get for slayer tasks drop clues. Work on your slayer level and you will get access to more good clue droppers :) Regarding level 3 clues, keep in mind that for some locations you need to have done quests to enter certain areas. Regarding all clues: to solve them quick and easy, you need to have several bank rows filled with the stuff needed for Uri emotes. Personally, I keep the hard to get level 1 stuff in bank, and everything needed for level 3, but I am a high level clue nerd ;) and yes.... I do have a few of the *very time consuming to get* level 2 items as well, like the blue snelm and such.
  7. Infinity tab: currencies and runes on the very top, then armour and weapon I have more than one of, then random junk that doent fit in any other tabs, bottom armour and weapon I only have one of. Farming tab: seeds, farming products Smithing/crafting etc: ores, bars, gems, but also logs and planks. Treasure trail: all itmes needed for level 3 clues + the hard to get level 1 and 2 items Ranging: bows, arrows, bolts, etc Herblore: Herbs, seconds, finished pots. Summoning: charms, pouches, seconds
  8. Always use super compost. Personally I buy pineapples from Arhein in Catherby for that, they are cheap and close to bank. I also always use the Catherby farming shop to stock up on plant pots, baskets etc since its the farming shop closest to bank. Check out the guide at tip site so see what of your products that may be of use later on as payment for farmer, especially for trees, and keep that. Trees are great exp, and the low level tree seeds are cheap, so I suggest you buy some acorns and willow seeds. The lower level trees grow fairly fast. Pay the farmer for trees, you can buy tomatoes and apples in the chest in Lumbridge basement, the amount you can buy each time depends on how many subquests in "recepie for disaster" you have done. Fruit trees on the other hand grow slow no matter what level (kind of fruit tree) it is, but go ahead and get some of the lower level ones, they are dirt cheap at the GE. (personally I always pay the farmer to watch any tree I grow, but I know others dont do that for low level trees) The explorer ring from Varrock diary is very nice to get to Falador farming patch. Basically. Grow whatever seeds you can get your hands on, and look at world map to get a nice farming route. Do a tree planting trip once a day for the fruit trees, more often for the other trees.
  9. Yes, I dont understand why they ever removed Thrandor. With him in game, price for legs and skirts will stay the same. From the very beginning of the game (yes I have been around from the start), Jagex only made legs when they introduced new metal armour. First legs only of the basic metals. Girls complained, and there was skirts. Legs only of the trimmed treasure trail armour. Girls complained, and they added skirts. Dragon legs only... girls complained, and Jagex made skirts... So yeah, they are sexist imo! Add Thrandor back in game, to let the amount of skirts versus legs in game be exactly what demand is and to let them be equally expensive, that is what I dream of.
  10. Oh yes, I really miss him If this would be the only thing that happened in December, it would be a very good december!!
  11. Personally I do not like powertraining. I need variation to enjoy the game, and I get that variation by doing a little of this, a little of that. Collecting stuff when I slay or train basic skills, using what I collected when training other skills, sell off the stuff for cash (thank gawd for the ge!). Sure I sometimes buy raw materials. But not often, and never in large amounts - since standing in bank and process it bores me to death ;) So no, I do not powertrain, simply because I dont enjoy it, and to me the whole point in playing a computer game is to do things you enjoy.
  12. I learned about time difference in the world so now I dont have to think to know about what time of day it is at other places.
  13. Regarding mining, personally I find it a lot more enjoyable to mine a mix of ores, and superheat addy and mithril bars for inventory space. So I mine addy, mithril, coal, gold, silver in whatever mix it spawns in. Mining only one kind of ores simply bores me to hell ;)
  14. Old is not the same as dead. There is a link to this topic in Tripsis' sticky on top of this board, and good places for clues is always good info for people more or less new to members. In fact, I learned something new here too, regarding rocking out files. I didnt know that, but I will definitly check it out! :) Personally I use HAM for level 1, and get other clues from my slayer tasks.
  15. Whoa, I wasnt aware this table existed and stumbled over it - and am very happy because it was just what I was looking for. THANKS!
  16. Adult or not, I see absolutly no reason to speak to strangers about personal details, in game or in real life. Adult or not, maturity is absolutly not age related, a 13-year old can sometimes hold a more mature conversation than a 25-year old. Besides, where to draw the line for what is "adult" - it does vary over the world, and it is a multinational game.
  17. Thankyou for saying what I wanted do say, but didnt manage to find the words for :) When you know the clues by heart, *or* when you are smart enough to use a fan site like tip.it to solve them, they are quickly solved and by no means a waste of time. Personally I know the level 1 and 3 by heart (erm, when memory doesnt fail due to old age), and with time I also learned to solve puzzles quickly. I do however *always* look at tip site when doing puzzle to make sure I dont mix 2 pieces up, been there, done that way more times than I want to remember....
  18. I always do them, but nowadays I usually finish my slayer task before doing the clue. Sometimes I also go and harass the ham people when I cant decide what to do in game ;)
  19. Normal, they often give sapphires, occasionaly other gems, and rarely half of keys. Its very nice when it happens :)
  20. One option is to simply take slayer tasks, and do whatever monster your slayer master suggest. Many slayer monsters drop clues, the level of the clue depending on the monster. This method will give you variation, which in my opinion is necessary, personally I get bored easily. Good thing with this method is that you try different monsters out, and may find your personal favourite. Jellys are the lowest level monster who drop clues, but you need level 52 slayer to kill them. Wear hides for magic defence, since they have a magic based melee attack. If you have dont the quests to enter Lletya, you can kill the elves there. There is an altar, so you can use protection prayers. Ankou at deepest level in stronghold of security drop a lot of runes in addition to level 3 clues. If you feel brave, you can kill green dragons in the wildy, and you can sell the hides and bones for profit, or use them yourself. Beware of reverants. Then of course you can range greater demons or blue dragons, if you have done the watchtower quest the cave under Ogre enclave is good for that. Some people like hell hounds, but they only drop bones except for clues. Good ranging spots there though.
  21. I'm 38, and have played this game on and off from start. I know there are a lot of other adults around. Also, among adults, the percentage of females is a lot higher than among teenagers. And yes, I am female myself. Oldest player I know of was past 70, but I have forgotten his name.
  22. I'm chopping wood on a free server atm, since I couldnt get on members. Dont worry, it will be ok in short time.
  23. I suggest you read this, and be careful first time you go there http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... ticle_id=4
  24. No advice on money making here, that is not my thing. I do what I enjoy, and when money come my way, I use them. In the mean time, while you think about how to move on, why not work on some skills that dont require money? Like agility, thieving, fishing etc? At least to me, it feels great to level where you didnt buy the level.
