people like you make me sick

nice find, and i never said nice find to anyone before, im going to try this.
-
this guy speaks the truth, listen to him.

Loving the flaming cause Im in differential equations. Took BC calculus 3 years ago and got a 5 on the AP.. lol. By the way I believe it's "math" not " ". way to be on topic, but youve proved you fail at maths.

the xp you gain is basically directly proportional to the damage you deal. So if you do 5% more damage you gain approximately 5% more xp. Therefore you gain 5% more xp every hour. It is safe to assume that: 1 - (100 / 105) ~= 5% So a 5% increase in xp is roughly the same as a 5% increase in speed. Not exactly the same, but you can reasonably assume so. I'm not quite sure what game you are playing, but in a game called "Runescape", which we ought to be talking about, attack/def/str prayers effect the corresponding level directly and maximum damage, frequency of damage dealt to you/by you indirectly. Where was i thinking a 6-year old could figure this out... [/hide] Lol. Use a max hit calculator and see how a 5% strength prayer affects your max hit. I was surprised at this too, but for 5% and 10% prayers it raises your max roughly ~4.5% - 5% and ~9% - 10% respectively. (WITH the assumption you have 99 strength... I'm not sure if this assumption works with lower levels) You still assume way too much and have nothing to prove those facts. Also if you are right, +10% strength IS +10% max hit IS 10% experience. But then +10% attack should be +10% experience as well which would add up to +21% experience(or even +50% with piety). The maths for these prayers really aren't as simple as you might think they were, and it isn't useful just to assume things. Focusing on only maxed out players really doesn't help either. Proof = Rhq prayer drain rate calc + Rhq max hit calc Why can't I make assumptions...? Otherwise it would be too hard to make any meaningful conclusions. 10% attack is not 10% additional damage. If you're slaying or fighting low level monsters youre hitting close to 100% of the time, so 10% accuracy increase does not make a difference. Even with all of my assumptions just based off of bare intuition one can tell it's far more beneficial to be dealing 5% or 10% more damage than spending 10K or so on a prayer potion Time and gp are essentially interchangeable (see "opportunity cost"); if you can save a lot of time for only a few gp it's well worth it. This is one of those cases. Closing your mind to only a few options makes you inefficient and insistent on extremes. wow, you can really see who failed maths in school. xpx is 100% correct get over it, your math is an abomination.

math is messed up, 2 more to your max hit does not mean you train 5% faster. maybe accuracy might affect how fast you train, but not by much at all. edit: xpx has it figured out before me.
-
high def - gs, includes pvp and bosses. low def - whip, training on monsters which are most of the time low def because people train on low def monsters. whip is overrated

remember when mauls were 4mil?
-
you dont know rs very well do you?
-
dfs gives extra +10 slash +7 crush and -3 stab. edit: pretty much everything you said makes sense.

no matter how popular you are, you [bleep] up your maths buddy. think it over. You don't know the "maths" pal. You don't know Jagex's combat calculations. You don't know how attack and equipment are weighted in determining a hit or a miss or what that damage will be. You don't know if +20 in equipment stats will buy you some extra misses by your opponent which could have saved you more hitpoints than the measly amount that were shaved off by the shield. You don't know anything, you just run your mouth like fool calling everybody else one... did you have a nice time typing that to impress 3 hit u? i do know the maths, a caveman knows the maths. its common sense and experience. 30% of damage removed always with pray points. or 70% chance of reducing damage by 25%. or +10 slash def +7 crush def -3 stab def. if you play the same game i do and we 1v1 in duel arena, same stats and armor, you with dfs me with either of those two shields, you would have a slim chance of winning.

LOL, put your money where your mouth is? i have a life? lol? whats the reward anyway, when i do own him he will come up with some excuse where he messed up while training, its only a fact that id win no matter what happens anyway. boring topic. edit: @ kiertaro nice 99 fletching. second edit: didnt even see your 99 cooking thats shows how often i never look at that. gl at 99 fm btw looks like your going for it. -
no matter how popular you are, you [bleep]ed up your maths buddy. think it over.

Fletching, Cooking, Firemaking: The Ultimate Race

this plan is [developmentally delayed]ed, whoever plays most will win, if it was me against you id beat you by a mile, get mining up to a measely 15 or whatever it is for pure ess and make roughly 2mil per day etc. boring. even if it was equal amount of time played id still beat you. -
Not really. Because the way the hitting system is (imo) random then the 17.5% is irrelevant, I'd rather have +70 Defence boost all the time rather than "17.5%" of a random (someone hits 40 they'll still do 33 damage) so 17.5% is not a lot at all really, 17.5% only starts to be a lot if you're getting AGS spec'd or Dharok spec'd. this is the first time ive seen 3 hit u, not make sense.

the difference between 10-20 def isnt that much compared to the abilitys it gives. also its overpriced because people complain when items are underpriced, and if they are underpriced people would buy them just to invest in them like everyday rares when people see them rise and they would go way above what it should be.

compared to most of the updates ive seen this month is unimpressive, hopefully its something like construction when they made it seem uninteresting and it turned out to be great. -
this is what happens when jagex gives f2p too much updates they start to want p2p stuff, pay $6 soz
-
i miss the pker attitude, rs is too boring without them.
-
It's easy to understand why there are so many more rants. Whenever Jagex makes even a small mistake, people on the RSOF are quick to rant about it. And then when they nerf something... oh boy. And you know what happens when they release some wonderful feature that people have been clamoring for? Most of those who liked it don't post about it in the compliments forum, and then you STILL have people that will whine about how it didn't live up to their expectations. People are usually happier to voice their grievances than their praise. people ranting have freetime since they dont play the game. and people who enjoy the game have no time to post.
-
98% of stantitics are made up ;) 97% of people cant spell
-
I bet some old pkers and some cocky overconfident people will be trying PvP the first and second day its released. bad estimation because ill have tons of stuff on.
-
agreed, but it wouldnt surprise me if it happened... thats gotta be the dumbest comment ive seen in years, pvp worlds would be a giant castle wars with NO risk NO excitement and NO enjoyment for the pkers who quit, it would satisfy people like you who are already satisfied with the game. this update is for the people who quit almost a year ago.

should teleblock spell return? if teleport spots are safe zones everyone will just teleport away, seems obvious enough. also i HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt any quest areas or boss areas will be safe zones.
