ROFL trying to think of something else to say so this post isnt spam.. oh well can't.

stop pulling the party lever please!
I dont mind it to be honest. In fact I quite like that people can see there will be a drop party on. Just seems stupid that you cant pull the lever to drop your own stuff. Just doesn't seem right that you can put it all in but not decide when it's dropped. All i wanted to do was put more in lol. If you put items in they should be dropped when you pull the lever, maybe set a time limit on how long you have to pull the lever after putting your items in.

Boycott runescape to save it please read!
I'm confused. OK to most people that's nothing unusual for me. But is it me or have you not posted a reason to boycott. I'm getting the idea that you want us to boycott because they are making Real World Trading even more difficult, I hope I'm wrong but that's the only hint of a reason you mentioned for boycotting. If that is the case, I whole heartedly support your boycott, Please do boycott the game on the 15th, But I say you are not going far enough, you should at least include the 16th and 17th, hell why not make it a week. No you know what would make a real statement? If you quit the game and never played again. Bye!

stop pulling the party lever please!
definately agree that the stuff you put in should only be dropped when you pull the lever.

OMG!!! P2p-ers!!!
screw up the age ranges a bit more im 20+ I find this question hard to answer. Do i look down on individual players on f2p? Not unless they give me cause. Would I play on f2p, no way i couldnt bear it. I think more adults play on p2p than f2p so generally the atmosphere is more adult, people on f2p have usually (but definately not always) played the game for a shorter period. There are a lot of idiots on p2p but you come across them less. I went onto f2p today to do some f2p pking, i prefer it over member pking. In general although noob gets bandied around a lot go over lvl 10 wild and i find people are actually better on f2p wild than p2p (excluding world 17). within seconds of logging on f2p today i was mobbed by beggars, im not a particularly high lvl and ok i was wearing a few members items but dangg so many trades so many people asking for money, so many people asking if i want a gf/bf. Why do i not like being on or near f2p'ers south of edgeville? because of the behaviour of f2p'ers. I would never judge a f2p'er as an individual and treat everyone with the same respect when i meet them, but i do generalise about f2p'ers because the majority i see are extremely immature. Sorry to say it but that's my experience of f2p. Obviously like on members get out of the towns to some quiter training spots u can meet some decent people, but the towns are just horrid.

stop pulling the party lever please!
yeah it caused a lot of lag too, well i dont know if it was for everyone but for me it was pretty much frozen. in a way it was quite good, it seemed to set off a few half decent drop parties in a row, the next one after was 2m+ there were a few clue items put in by someone else, i put in a few more bits and someone put in some barrows stuff. It seems once the party spirit has been started, it's hard to stop.

stop pulling the party lever please!
Short rant really. Went on f2p put 100k cash set of rune, r2h, rune scimmy and some ammys wood etc in deposit chest, there were 4 people in there and i asked no one to pull lever as i was going to bank to get more.. someone pulled the lever, ruined it for themselves as I was going to put more in. went on world 54 members. absolutely no one in party room and bank was pretty empty, put in d skirt, d scimmy, 200 duel rings heaps of tree seeds, herb seeds etc.. managed to go to bank and get another load of stuff some kharils bits and glories few other bits, was going to try and get it over 5m.. one noob, singular went in while i was loading chest, i asked him not to pull as i was putting more in he said he wouldnt. went to bank for more.. what do i see in bank... 2m drop party.... don't they realise that pretty much everyone on the server will know about it anyway as soon as it's pulled? they're gonna get no advantage for pulling it except that I didnt put in as much as I was going too. I kind of expected it on the f2p world, but the guy on members who pulled it was over lvl 100 some people have no patience. rant over from empty party room and quiet fally bank to:

December 1, 2007: The Day I Got Hacked... Plz Suggest.
wow some of you people really can't read, he is not begging. He never wrote accepting donations. accepting suggestions is that were u got confused? suggestions donations i know this reading lark can be confusing he said he'd recieved some donations. no doubt from friends on the game that know he is not a beggar or someone who would lie about stuff like this. He has agreed it's his own fault, no better way of learning something than learning from your mistakes. He's not here looking for sympathy. It was not his friend as it was obvious from the first post and has been commented on that his friend was given the details AFTER he was hacked. why keep telling the guy it was his fault he knows that, he's here after advice.

What ever happened to honest playing?
Autoing on classic was very low in 2001 and 2002, the autoing wouldnt have even been at 10% of players in 2003 untill rs2 beta came out and jagex said you had to choose, and then every one started autoing. And people were a lot nicer on classic, there was still jerks but you could always find them in wild and 3 hit them, unlike rs2 people can be a jerk with no consequences since you will probably never see them twice. I still have to disagree, autoing was a problem from very early on. I seem to remember in early 2002 or late 2001 you didnt need to use beds... then when you first used beds if i remember rightly there were no random words to type, etc etc, these things happened because autoing was a problem from the very start. now these programs are no doubt far more complicated and shouldnt be called macros at all, but then, no doubt not much more than a very basic macro was needed before beds. I can happily say I didnt auto my stats prove that lol, but not naming names, there are some people that i got on very well with on rsc.. some of the first people to get 99's in certain skills, who now are in the top few hundred overall, who autoed all day every day. would always answer u on messenger but would come up with the lamest excuses as to why they didnt answer u on rs.. because they were autoing. as for what you say about never seeing people again.. exactly why i used the big town little town analagy.. back then it was quite a community, altho there are people who played back then that post on here that i've never heard of and no doubt vice versa, so still a town size community... now it is a city.

"Bots" Common Since Tells You..
Well you need to remember that this game is more over populated with immature 7-14 year olds that are lazy or illiterate.. No one under 13 should be playing alone, only with family on their parents account they shouldnt have their own account until 14+. As mentioned on the Jagex site the game is designed for teenagers and older. Even 14-18 years olds should have express permission from their parents to play the game. I wonder how many do tho. It's mainly just a get-out cluase by Jagex tho.. are you under 14? well you can't play.. ohh you created an account anyway? well unless your parents contact us.. and can prove they are you're parents, we wont ban your acount.

Has the Random Event rate increased?
hence the name random event Oh wow thanks, I'd never have figured that one out.

Defence noobs, are we noobs?
Lol i recently went from 50 to 70 def ( i say recently, i mean recently as in actual time spent on game, because it was a while ago now lol). I think i was still 50 def at 94, +/- a level. I used to fight people with higher def than me and they'd always call me a def noob if they couldnt hit, so I wouldnt worry, they dont tae the time to think, but if you are beating them, then you must be some cheating noob in some way or another.. i mean 99 def? that's just cheating :P. I was 40 att 78 str and 30 def on rsc, back when str was everything. I came on rs2 and went str8 in the wild with my r2h and went quite deep, got owned by someone 10 lvls below me with a more rounded character. Because all I hit was 0's. High str is one thing but it doesnt work without equally high or higher att. that's why since rs2 I have gotten 53att lvls and 40 def lvls, yet only 8 str lvls. I only use this char for f2p pking, have another for p2p. on f2p 99 str's at my level are target practice, they have low att and even lower def, ok when they hit they hit high, but i'm more likely to hit 2x20's in a row and KO than they are, cos they rarely hit twice in a row. I've got heaps of 99 str kills and ave only died in the last 6 months once to a 99 str. I die far more to 99def 99 range on f2p. for f2p att > str def > str str > equal stat chars (like 70-70-70) str > str if you can make sense of that :P

"Bots" Common Since Tells You..
do they still send messages to ur inbox when they act on one of ur reports? it used to be that they'd send u a message and say thanks and we've done something about it.. altho they didnt say what or who to. i still send in reports for very obvious hings, people advertising rs gp sites.. swearing etc.. haven't had a message in years saying they've done anything about it.. makes you wonder.. why bother reporting.

Has the Random Event rate increased?
I got absoluetely heaps yesterday, way more than my friend who was fletching with.. i had over 20 in about 2 hours 30, he had about 2.. then today he's getting more than me i think they are pretty random :P unless ur killing ankous that is, then just bury a bone.

lock please
probably to a certain extent, people will always merchant with or without this place. People will always sell stuff cheap for fast cash and merchants will always be there waiting for those sales, whether it's sitting watching the list in some kind of trade centre or sitting in a bank watching for people selling cheap stuff etc... but TBH i don't care, to me the least important part of this game is having lots of money.. what does having lots of money prove? that merchants are great masters of economy & retail? or that they spend all their time standing around buying and selling stuff, an the rest showing off the pretty hat they bought from it. well you can keep your pretty hat, and you wil still be able to make money when the update comes out. dont worry. but I hope you are impressed that you made the money, because I and most people arn't bothered about your pretty hat, well it excites the new players I guess. You will still be able to make money and good luck to you, if you enjoy doing it, and think there is a reason to do it, there will always be opportunities to do it, and as much as I don't understand it, the runescape economy would be in tatters without you guys, so hats off to you. (if i had one) :P

how idiotic members brag at f2p
"ha ha ppl! im a member and your not!" who on earth says that lol. it's partly f2p'ers own fault tho, as someone mentioned previously, if you wear obvious members items on f2p, you get mobbed, people trying to trade, people begging, people going "omg you're cool" because what? they have nice clothes? I'm not exactly what would be called a high lvl, but when I'm not fighting, I don't wear armour, why would I? why do i need to carrry a godsword to fish? why do i need d-chain to cook? in fact I think these things weigh me down. (not that I have a godsword) I am an eternal noob, there's 2 ways you can recognise me, I walk round with deer antlers on my head carrying a rubber chicken, I'm most definately not dressed to show how rich I am. (or am not). Why should i care about how people look. Or how people think I look. The other way you can recognise me is if you go in the wild, you mght see my name mentioned when you arrive in Lumby. to me it's simple, it's everyone fault except mine lol, if people wern't so obsessed about in game wealth it wouldnt be a problem. It's the fault fof both those that to and those that dont. But I never started playing RS to make friends, or in-game money.. I came to kill people, other real people. to pit my skills against there's. but the wild is too literally like a graveyard now, if you arn't at rr or castle or hill giants, sometimes you can quite literally walk hours without seeing anyone. "Bots" Common Since Tells You..
The only time I ever go to F2P is to go PKing, so rarely see nything other than edge and the wild. Yesterday I was bored and for some reason thought it would be funny to see if I could kill anyone with my rubber chicken. I know it might come as a surprise, but I died. First time I went to Lumby in f2p in god knows how long. It is so rare in fact that I completely forgot they put a bank in Lumby now and I did what I used to do and run the back-route to Draynor for the closest bank. Where I saw what can only be described as hundreds of bots, lvl 3's all wearing the same outfit, following the same path from trees to general store to bank to trees et al. I watched for a little while reporting the odd name.. (too many to report especially with the report system keep saying you only just made a report don't abuse the system). I reported about 5. I'm no game designer or programmer but I work in a different field of IT, and have little if not much knowledge about how such programs work, and a few things popped to mind, obviously people start the game here so you cant have too many agressive monsters killing the noobs on their first day. but around the trees and fishing spot south west of draynor bank there are aggressive npc's that attack the bots, occasionally the odd bot dies, why not have more of these.. of course it wouldnt stop them, as they dont care if they die, they just follow their program to get back to cutting trees, however it woul slow it down a bit. How about everyday, just changing something, ever so slightly about how tutorial Island works, or character creation, these programs are routines, patterns, they have rules to follow if certain things happen, well if there is something different, it cant do it because it hasn't been told what to do, they are not intelligent. Of course this would just slow it down a bit also, not stop it, because people would re-write the bot program, but making them re-write it every day wouldnt be a bad thing. obviously randoms help a little but not much, but just little changes on the route they take or how characters are made etc etc, will help cut the problem down a bit. none of these things will ever stop autoing, but they will definately help slow the problem down a bit. One other simple way of cutting the problem down a bit. When I saw how many there were, I reported a few, but obviously right clicking on them cutting the trees would result in a huge pile of them, If Jagex really wanted to do anything about the problem, just send a J mod every so often to the botspots (because they arent exactly hard to find). in a few mins they could ban 100+ bots on each world. You might think that a bit unfair, but as you know even with private and public chat off, you can still see a jagex mod talk, any lvl 3's that dont respond, ban them. just once a week maybe, how hard would that be.. again it wouldnt fix it, but it would put a bandage over the wound.

Where's My Warning!?
I have to agree with most people and say if you broke the rules, well, you got to suck it up. The rule itself I think can be a bit over the top sometimes, it's obvious why it's there, and IMO I can't see how they can relax the rule about advertising websites, it's all or nothing. I was talking to a friend the other day and was so immersed in our chat he mentioned he was playing poker later. I play a lot of poker and always have an interest in where people play.. how much they play, if they play for real money. So like I would IRL ( Rules went out of my head for a second), I asked which site, this was in public chat luckily he remembered the rules and said he couldn't say, me still being dumb asked "why you scared I'll come win all your money :p", to which of course he replied it's against the rules to advertise a site. I've played the game 6 years not had one black mark, Would I think it fair that after 6 years of playing as a er non-rule breaking player, that in chatting with a close friend I would be having a relaxed enough conversation that I wasn't thinking about that rule. I would be extremely upset, had my friend not reminded me, I may have mentioned the site I play on. I could have probably been reported by anyone who saw it for asking personal information anyway. I would have been very unhappy had I recieved a black mark. however as people have said, the rules are there for a reason. I would have just had to suck it up. I wouldn't get my :boohoo: out on here and cry about it... although my friends might not hear the end of it for a while :P sorry you got the marks, but that's life.

Oh for Pete's sake stop moaning.
Well it looks like they managed to get it changed. it looks like if you cry enough it's possible to get what you want. I think if Jagex gets tons of people crying about something new, they just pander to what they think people want, they dont seem to realise that if people are happy with an update they generally don't rush on to a forum to post how extremely happy they are. People crying doesn't mean everyone is unhappy, if people cry too much take a vote. From everyone I know on RS, most people wern't unhappy with the fact people could gain raw materiels, of course when something new comes out you will get tons of people trying to use it. But it's amazing how over the course of the week, fewer and fewer people asked for assistance at one of the few things I could offer, fishing. There will always be beggars on RS, they will always hasle higher levels for free stuff, but there are a lot of genuine players who work hard on their stats, but maybe are new to the game or have only been training for a few months and havent got any amazing way of earning money yet. I've always been happy and willing to help those people. Because I don't know how many of you remember but the first few months when you cant just make quick money, they are hard, especially if you die training or whatever. Then came the assist system, and it was soon obvious to the beggars who just want stuff for nothing that fishing shark is probably slower than running round and begging from people. at the start of the week it seemed every low lvl on runescape was at the fishing spots in catherby asking for asistance, at the end there were actually very few, i found I offered assistance a few times and had no takers.. why... because catching shark is slow and takes patience, these people are willing to work hard at getting those shark, in the few times they might recieve assistance. to me those people that were willing to do that are more than worthy of my help. Well from now on if there is an update I want changing I'm going to get my :boohoo: out and on the Jagex forums and get things changed to how I want them. If you don't like it... don't stand for it, go and cry on the Jagex forums, they'll make it all better.. diddums

Is it RuneScape 3 already?
I don't think there will be an RS3 for quite some time. But I guess it will eventually happen. I think although obviously RS2 is far more popular than rsc was, I think there was a point between rsc and rs2 where popularity went down a bit.. glitchy laggy rs2 when it first came out and everyone ran sideways like crabs.. or play rsc which was going to be unsupported at some point. they might try and do it more dynamically over time as the original poster mentioned so as not to lose any fan base this time. It'll just slowly get updated.. (engine included) As for mechscape, I have been following this story for a long time, they obviously wont give up all the work and or money they put into mechscape, so there will be a game released but Jagex used to own more domains with mechscape in, this time last year than they do this year, which suggests to me they are slowly letting them go. They were also seeming to buy related names at different points over time, something they seem to have stopped doing now.. maybe a rename?

Oh for Pete's sake stop moaning.
Yeah you're right that is definately one of the predominant reasons & the main reason Jagex gave, but people were complaining non-stop thru holiday drops, over the length of the tradable drops they dropped more and for longer periods because of people moaning, to a point where they were just everywhere you looked. Then people still complained they didnt get any. I think santas were 2 weeks? not sure cant remember. I think moaning did have a bearing on the decision to stop tradable drops. They definately were not 100k tho.. not sure while they were being dropped but they were 30k just after the drop stopped :P thanks for all who read such a long and boring post, and thanks for all being so supportive :P . can't believe i havent had someone slate me yet. Maybe it was too long a post for people who like to argue to read? hehe thx again

What ever happened to honest playing?
this always happens, it's called reminiscing. I've been playing since late 2001 or early 2002 (having trouble finding proof of exact date). but dang did we play the same rsc? the only reason it seemed like there were more honest players it was 87% people macroing, There were just as many people scamming back then too (spinach rolls jump to mind). and your sig says it all: hacked 3 times in 5 years... it wasnt hacked 3 times in last 6 months.. it's not a recent thing, the idiots have always been there and always will, but now RS has 5m+ players, it can be a little harder to find the honest ones that's all. you have to think of RS like a city.. 5 years ago it was like er.. lets say penzance, small population, a certain % of idiots to decent people. but as it was a small town it was easy to spot the idiots. Now RS is the size of London, same % of idiots, but no way you can know them all or keep track, a lot easier for them to do what they want to do because they can hide in the massive numbers.. the amount of decent or bad people hasnt changed.. RS was never some kind of babylon where people lived hand in hand. nothings changed but size.

Oh for Pete's sake stop moaning.
I can't help it, I have to let it out, as much as this post will be aimed at me, beacuse I'm moaning making the post. Why can people never be happy with updates? I don't just mean the most recent, but I will get onto that. All updates, any updates. You're crying ruins the game for everyone. As you can see from my post-count I'm not a regular poster here or on any RS forums. I doubt I'm what you could even call a regular player, being only 104 combat after playing 6 years in jan. But why can't these people stop moaning for pity's sake. They don't seem to give a damn about how anything affects anyone else... As long as I'm alright Jack, screw you... If I'm not alright I'm gonna moan and cry like a little girl 'til someone takes pity and listens. All I've heard from the recent update is things like: (these are primarily fishing or cooking based reqs, as they are what I've been doing since update). Stop assisting people it'll ruin the market They should Earn their own skills It's not right that a lvl 1 fishing should be able to fish shark not many people have voiced it, a few have and if you talk to the complainers it seems to be the underlying concern.... I didnt get any help.. or I had to work for my levels.. Well if these people are stupid enough to think that the market will collapse because of this, then I wonder how they manage to type, because this is stupidity of a grand scale. I'm not going to bother backing that statement up, or giving it any credence, because if you are stupid enough to think this will screw up the market for sharks, well no amount of explaining will help you. As for the earn your own skills bit, well you know everyone needs help or advice at some point, whether it's with a quest, or directions, or what something does, or an item they need for quest and really cant find etc etc etc etc.. Given the huge amount of people that play RS it's hard to see the kindness, but there are some very kind players on RS. helpful considerate etc... It's hard to see sometimes, but there have always been people willing to give money, fish, help, cut gems, show someone the way, whatever people may need. They dont want recognition or to be added to peoples friends lists or become a mod or expect something back at all, they do it out of the kindness of their hearts. People have always given and always will. I always have and always will. The.. i had to work for my levels thing... well whoopie freaking doo, I dont care, I'm not going to stop helping people because you got no help, maybe if you stopped looking at yourselves so much and give if someone needs, then the world wouldnt be such a cold place. Stop crying about it, move on, so these people are getting something you didnt, is it really the end of the world? You are the same people that cried and cried when they didnt get holiday drops, so when it came to santas, Jagex dropped billions of the things, I don't know who was playing at the time, but you couldnt move for santas on the floor, the whole map would be red dots, and they dropped them for ages. yet still people cried.. what about me.. i didnt get onebut he got 10. So they stopped tradable drops. You might not have even been playing back then, but you are the same people. every update that affects your skills or wealth.... cry. I got most of my 99 cooking way before cook-x or cook-all it can be a bit annoying that people can level so easily on cooking now. But meh what difference does it make really, if I care that much.. which i dont.. It would just make me work harder to stay above them. I've only gotten 8 str levels since RSC (shows how much i've played :P) but I had to work far far harder on RSC for the same amount of levels as someone would on rs2.. it might be a bit annoying with the speed of xp on rs2 that people do in months what it took me a longgg time to do on rsc.. but i dont cry about it, i dont go and post on the RS forums about how it's ruined the game. There will always be updates, and to a certain extent, some things will always get easier and faster. Live with it, if you cant.. stop [bleep]ing to me.. go elsewhere.. dont play the game if it annoys you that much. sadly it's the voice of the loud few, that carries over the silent majority.. when the few cry too much, it makes changes that affect the majority. I'm not saying and never would, dont express you're opinion, because I believe strongly that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, what I am saying is, make a small post, state the facts, or talk about it with ur friends, vote on a poll, but dont go on and on and on about it, or do what I'm doing now and rant about it :P Take it in your stride, make your point and move on. Nothing that happens on RS is life changing, or should upset you, unless you want it to / let it. It's a game, remember that. On a side note: SAntas are way over priced, there were soooooooo many dropped. It would be funny if jagex made it 1 per person max. that would truely lead to some changes on the marketplace of grand proportions. I dont think they should make it 1per person, or will, but dang it would be funny if they did. that's it. one rant in 6 years i should be allowed that. stop spreading the hate, it's amazing how far a little kindness will go. If evryone thought about others a little more, not a lot just a little, you wouldn't need to think about yourself so much, because others would be doing it for you. you - is aimed at the moaners... not neccasarily you :boohoo:
