After many, many, MANY trips I have decided that the best KC is 10-20. The increased chance of barrows items can be debated until we are all blue in the face but the fact is that the non-barrows returns are MUCH better with 10 or so kills. My best advice would be to simply kill anything that gets in your way but not to stop and raise it after 10 KC. That way you are still getting in fast runs but are making a nice profit off the bloods and racks that are (for me at least) impossible with 6KC. From my tests it is AT LEAST 8 times rarer, if even possible in the first place, to get either bloods or racks from the chest than it is to get barrows items themselves' at 6KC, lol.

Since the cost each is the same regardless of cash put in it is pretty obvious how much you will get for your money... Say you put in only 75k at 100% coal 50% flax. One tenth of 75k is 7.5k so you spend 2/3 of that on coal and 1/3 on flax. Given the rates each you can simply divide the gp spent by the cost each which gives the resulting amount of items recieved. I don't think that there could be a better way than this to show the value of your profits since the amount spent is variable as are the percentages of each item. The only fixed numbers are the ones shown.

I logged and took it off a few times, but no, I didn't close the client and open a new one. Yes, I am playing on low detail, but that wouldn't make a difference. So far there are two explainations: 1. It's a real glitch 2. I'm going crazy I'd go with #2 :P Well #2 is rather obvious to everybody :P so I am leaning towards glitch/bug. I will check when I get on since that is a rather nifty glitch to occur TEMPORARILY. Imagine having to drop it and earn another just to get the flames back. Almost worth it, lol.

I would do it if they let me! I swear I would, lol. The MAX possible brothers that I think possible would be 3-4 of each. This would be insanely hard and dangerous seeing as how you would have to get triple or quadruple of each brother, in the tunnels, while hoping that you don't have to deal with ahrim/kharil/dharok on one side of the door, lol.

I think obby cape is the best looking cape in the game, including fire cape. When I first saw it I thought it was just another wildy team cape. I would have to say that you are in the minority, though, when it comes to vs. fire cape and I am probably in the minority when it comes to vs. all other capes.

Wow I am one of those morons since I have only been once, lol. I would gladly go and contribute with proper instruction of course. Heck you can even choose my job and equipment (provided it is sensible and available, lol). Drop me a pm in game if you are short. :wink:

The obby cape is probably the worst piece of equipment that is used nearly solely for training for it's price. The reason that it is worn so often is because it is still very cheap. 300k takes the average person less than a day to earn. Personally the only obby cape that I ever owned was a gift for my b-day. I used it to get the fire cape and sold it. Even if there wasn't a fire cape I would still not use it since I cannot justify the extra ratio of cost vs. value as opposed to, say, a whip. That puppy has earned every cent of the 4.5mil that I paid for it plus WAY more. I respectfully alched all of my legends capes for room and buy another anytime I need one from the guild. P.S. It looks ugly and screams noob to me, personally. Like wearing mith med helm, CW sword, steel plate, addy kite, green dhide legs, and a strength amulet all at the same time, lol. I think it is the cheapskate in me that hates it so much, hehe.

Go back to my post's pic, it has good bonuses from the maples! :D Yep, I couldn't decide which was "technically" better so I am putting 8 nests or spirit seed, lol. EDIT: For some reason I read his as recieving the spirit seed from a nest lol but the screeny cleared that up. :oops:

I am going to add this into the main post but would like to know which items and how many you recieved for the "extra effort" (as in the best/most rewards possible and which give which.) Please don't mix things that give identical rewards (like maples and rare woods which I think both give nests). If your reward beats the current top (or is the first post) please post a screeny if possible.

We probably all thought that you didn't know... but since you did and posted here anyway that is kind of lame. Answers are slower there, yes, but the clutter would make the p2p forum worthless if everyone chose to follow only the rules they like as you do. :? Not to sound mean but posting like this only encourages others to do the same which bumps worthy threads off the first page and a likely "death".

I want a cave that can be teamed (random scenarios/maps of course). Five people, 1 "healer", 1 "ranger", 1 "mager", and 2 "fighter"s. This cave would be unique in that your stats do not effect your "cave" character just like all 99's don't help much in the games room. :lol: You click on the cave and either choose a slot in another's game or start your own and make it invite-only. Each class has unique abilities (right-click to heal a teamate, right-click and cast disenchant on a door/chest, etc.) that must be used in an intelligent manner to finish. I would set the difficulty so that only 3 GOOD players are REQUIRED to beat it with 2 noobs as long as the healer was a decent player. It could be some crazy magical cave that transforms you into some other kind of creature or humanoid (hence your stats not effecting your cave-character) and the reward would be similar to a combo of CW and PC i.e. you recieve tickets depending on your performance and your victory/oss that give you a small amount of (any) xp when traded in for some snazzy new armor. It would be nice if the best armor had some above average use like a +10 range att/def bonus in the shield slot so that it would be greatly desired/often worn and untradeable of course. The minimap should be blacked out and the main view should only be lit in a small area around your character. Each character option should be extremely strong and weak vs. different things similiar to the pk triangle with the healer being very weak to everything. The game would basically consist of cave exploration (a map that you could write on in your inventory would be nice) with random monsters attacking your group from different directions with an eventual fight with the boss that has different parts of it weak to different attacks. Sorry for the single paragraph but I was just typing things as I thought them. This would be a nice game that would allow skill pures, new players, or those who just don't level combat that much for whatever reason to wage war based upon their wits not their stats. I guess the rewards could be scaled to the players' combat levels but... eh whatever works. Pretty interesting read, though. I was skimming for a second until I noticed that this was an OLD news release not a NEW one, lol. :oops:

Not to mention that it is slower than MSB. I would stick to MSB or cry bows. Cannons and x bows if you are rich of course. :wink: P.S. Help and Advice.

I heard you could do the same thing on that vamp in Vampire Slayer quest. Try it on gargoyles and go get some fish sticks. :wink: :lol:

I've done hundreds of trips and you always get a set group of items. I believe that the absolute worse possible reward (provided that you kill all 6 brothers) that you can recieve is from 2k-6k gp. I have never recieved lower than 5k when the reward was ONLY gp but have heard many others say that they have. I would bet that you simply did not notice that you recieved a few runes. Either way, I have personally recieved items after a long delay mid-trip as have other people so time is not likely at all relevant. P.S. I am tired so forgive my spelling and grammar. :oops:

It is supposed to be 50k at 100% and 25k at 50% but I fixed it and added it as well. Updated. Still need fish though, both raw and cooked. :wink:

Please only post what you yourself recieved, not what you have heard, seen, etc. Screenies are nice but not necessary if you take notes. It would also be advisable to keep the percentages at three 75%'s (which means you paid 25k per group) or one 100% (50k for this group paid) and one 50% (25k for this group paid) so that we can convert the gp price each easier. If you don't have a bank full of seeds and unids I would also suggest not doing those two together because you will be hardpressed for bank space. Also, make sure that you have at least 750k gp stocked and 100% approval. Do not post any information that isn't 100% accurate, please! Please post in the following manner so that I can add it to the list with ease, lol: Percentage - Item - Name/Amount of each reward Gp paid divided by reward AMOUNT not value Example: 100% - Teak - 301/logs 50k / 301 = ~166gp ea 50% - Herbs - 2/guam, 5/harralander, 2/ranarr, 17/dwarf, 999/marrentill 25k / 1025 = ~24gp ea (No I did NOT recieve that many herbs, lol) If you want to do the math feel free but I will do it without complaint. After finding the rubbish rewards that you had to PAY for (I wasn't skimming I swear!) I was rather disappointed but kept questing anyway, lol.

This is definately the way to go for teak at least. Since I will probably get fewer than 300 mahogony I think I will stick to teak from misc and mahogony from karamja. Less trips to the bank is always a good thing. :wink: P.S. If you are doing the max cash and you make a 100%/50% split you can figure that the 100% cost 50k and the 50% cost 25k (and all other permutations of course 50%/50%/50%, 75%/75%, etc.) so that means I spent around 166gp each teak and 25k for some garbage seeds. The exception of course is if that willow seed came from the "extra effort" on the wcing as opposed to the normal haul from the seeds. Tomorrow should tell if I am lucky. :D
