  1. Once they see that only one person has repeatedly tried to get their account back they will eventually accept. Quite inconvenient but at least you will get your account back. My account was locked once because I was teasing a friend and pretending that I was somebody from california and bought my account. He had just started playing (like that week) so I figured that he wouldn't know how to report. Not only did he figure it out he sent a gazillion reports while I was faking him out. I told him the truth and called him a name unique to him and he says "Dude I reported you like 500 times!" I wasn't worried but guess what? They locked it (and yes for good reason lol). I sent 3 requests and had an error on each one (password, number, and one other one the third time). At that point it had been a week and I was fed up. I sent them this: I have sent in several password request forms and have been denied yet again. Nobody else is trying to access my account or unlock it. All the requests were from the same ip/comp. It was a bad joke and I am impressed that you took swift action but unlock my account or lose a customer. It worked for me.
  2. Why would a fight be unfair if both players used prayer? One person using it hardly prevents the other from doing the same. Serious help? Well I say that you are using a whip so are therefore a "whip noob" since it gives you serious help. "Ancients Noob!!!" They are all tools to better your chances of winning. And when somebody is referring to "skill" in this context they are not speaking of their prowess; only the fact that it is a skill in rs2. Regardless of tactics a (legal) kill is a kill. Period. Whine all you want about how I am a prayer noob and I will gladly thank you for my winnings.
  3. DK or KQ pl0x!!! Or perhaps we can 3-item the CE, lol? I would gladly go to those events. :D P.S. The big reason I am posting is that the title needs to be spell-checked. Its driving me crazy!!! Help, lol!!! Specifically the "birgade".
  4. Loaned Sk8ermaster 500k in dss and rune pl8s based on the promise of a double return. He logs out everytime I log in and won't answer my messages here, so I assume that he feels the need to scam 1mil off me. Last time I help somebody who asks. Feel free to reply with why you did that and why you won't pay me back; I would love to hear the "reason". :| I am always doing nice things for people who don't beg/steal/scam/cheat/etc. Feel free to ask me a question or two in-game but ask for loans or donations and you will encounter my ignore list quickly.
  5. I can totally see your point here but I think that this falls under "agreed upon terms". Fun duels should either click no pray or say no pray and should follow through. CW should pray only if they need to stay alive for a few more seconds (carrying the flag, killing a flagthief, etc.) Personally I don't use pro prayers in CW unless they are necessary to win; mostly because I don't want to encourage my targets to do the same. I don't call anyone a prayer noob unless they break agreed upon rules. I think praying whenever you want is fine but in certain situations all it does is waste time. 90%+ of the time, though, it makes a significant difference.
  6. 1v1 PKERS (not just people in the wildy but actual pkers) would never use prayer if that were the case. Why would they pray more than once if it makes it impossible to get a kill? They wouldn't. Since they still do they are obviously getting SOMETHING out of it otherwise they would stop. I agree that 1v1 pkers shouldn't use prayer if they BOTH want a fast fight. Other than a fast fight there is no point in whining about "prayer noobs". All of this falls under what I said before: agreed upon rules. When you instigate/recieve a fight you both have the choice to go by the "honor code" of the wildy and not pray. It is hardly noobish to better your chances of keeping your own gear by not following this "code" and praying but to each their own. As fun as this may be I think that we are straying off-topic a bit. He wanted to know if we are offended by the term prayer noob, which I myself am not. I think that we can both agree that there are times when it is unnecessary or redundant but it is ALWAYS a valid option to use as are super sets, food, the strength skill, etc.
  7. It will be rather boring cashing in 250 points if the items released are garbage. :?
  8. 1. Depending on rules/stats/gear/skill it can be. But to say that the game has a decided winner at that point is hardly reasonable. 2. Defense lowers the chance of being hit. That's it. Otherwise anything close to your max hit would be impossible on kq, jad, or 99 def + torag's. 3. It increases the chance that your hit connects. Strength determines whether that hit is a 0 or a 30. 4. Depending on the rules/stats/gear it can be all luck, all skill, or anything in between. If you want to lower luck's impact go armorless, use charged god spells, and have movement/obstacles ON. If you want to watch a duel based solely on luck watch two 126's in full dharoks, all prays, super potted, with a full load of tunataters. With an even playing field I would say luck is about 40% of every duel.
  9. Praying doesnt give you an advantage at all, the other player will use it as well, making the result of the fight still the same and just take 5 minutes longer, and have no possibility of a ko for either side.. Gee isnt this fun? no, id rather watch paint dry. Sorry but prayer gives a huge advantage in the wildy. The reason is there are a TON of "pures" out there that can out-class others of their combat lvl because they have no prayer. They are the ones who started "prayer noob" so that some people would be embarrassed/brow-beat into making themselves' easier targets. Like I said: if you have a problem with people's tactics go someplace that you can do something about it. With all of that being said, praying 1v1 in the wildy is a CHOICE that you can more than compensate for with your own prayer. If it takes longer and there is no kill guess what: thats life. How can you think that it is reasonable to force somebody to choose to be weaker than they can be while fighting? Only idiots comply. Remember though I agree 110% that if you both agree to no prayer and one uses it they are definately a lame noob. Other than agreed upon terms there is no justification for whining about people fighting to the best of their ability no matter how hard it makes your kills.
  10. 2 questions: 1. Is this the only thread quoting this update? 2. Am I the only person here getting the 250 points before the new stuff is released?
  11. Ever read the rules? Account stealing and account sharing are both against the rules. Congratz on your friend's theft though I guess. :? I started around 14-15 months ago so I never played RSC. I wanted to try it out and a few weeks before I met my goal and temporarily switched they killed off RSC to new people.
  12. I am getting an error message about scripts everytime that the map has to reposition...

  14. I too have noticed a large influx of lower leveled members. I think that the largest cause is the fact that autoers are (hopefully temporarily) winning in a huge way on f2p. If you want to see a bunch try CW or PC. They seem to be better behaved than a bunch of 70-80s that I have met (no offense) so that is a nice bonus. I say more should join!
  15. Reminds me of the guy that I bought 400 essence off of. He logs out and then returns 20 minutes later accusing me of "trade hacking" him. He goes off about how he knows "Andy" and will get me ip banned, etc. After I tell him to buzz off he leaves for another 20 minutes, returns, and asks for detailed instructions on how to hack. First time Jagex sent me one of those "taken severe action against the player you reported" messages. :D
  16. Read the post. It is not "whining", it is speculation. Speculation on what may be coming... And before you say, "I dont see much speculation in there", it is more of a starter... Speculating is so stupid. Why not just be patient and wait for the update to come out? You people waste so much time trying to guess what the new update is going to be, and you make speculations on things that Jagex didn't even intend to foreshadow what an upcoming update is going to be. RS2 products are too impatient when it comes to updates, as zot said. God forbid that people have some fun guessing what comes next or hoping for decent updates. I don't see a complaint anywhere just a query about the future. People tend to enjoy using that gray matter up in their noggin' discussing possibilities. Try it out for yourself sometime, it is a pretty handy organ. And take a nose-dive off that pedestal that you've put yourself on. "RS2 Products"... wow congratulate yourself on being "old school" on a GAME!!!!! You are correct in the assumption that everybody wishes they were as uberleet as you. Grow up.
  17. You admitted that it was your fault, which it was, and that shows that you aren't as dumb as that one moment. I would suggest adding all of the "ice owns veracs" information on the first post otherwise you will keep getting those replies over and over. Anywho, regardless of who I was dueling I would never risk everything that I had of value. Even if it was an assured victory the loss of my bank would make the game MUCH less enjoyable. All I can say is I am glad that you have learned your lesson and good luck on any future duels. :D
  18. If I am fighting to win I will use every (legal) trick in the book. Somebody's opinion of me based on their preconcieved views has no slot in my bank as opposed to the spoils of victory. I will GLADLY do everything within my power to win because that is the whole point in fighting. Pot, Pray, Protection Pray, Entangle, ANYTHING that gives me an edge I will gladly use. If you don't want people using certain things against you there is a perfect place: duel arena. Jagex has made a game where your every combat whine has been answered in some fashion; so if you don't like what can happen where you are, go to where that can't happen. "Prayer Noob" in the wildy is just another device for the pker to maximize their profits. The easier you are to kill, the better their chances of getting your stuff. Guess what? I like my stuff and will gladly use every advantage I have to keep it... and get your's. The ONLY two exceptions (personally): DM's - I wouldn't trust anyone in-game with a bronze dagger why would I meet them in the wildy? It is absolutely idiotic when there is a duel arena that doesn't allow CHEATING!!! BUT if you agree to not use prayer then you are truly lame if you go back on your word. Speed - If (for some strange reason) you and your opponent are trying to kill each other in the fastest possible manner then you should agree on no prayer (see DM's above). This does NOT apply to CW unless you made some sort of agreement with your opponent (keep your melee pro off and I will too, etc.), this does NOT apply to fight pits since there is only one winner and the prize has actual value, this does NOT apply to duel arena (again, unless you both decide on no prayers beforehand). Basically, I think that if you say something you should stick to it (in-game or life). Other than that all is fair in love and war. [/end rant]
  19. I believe it is possible with american keyboards to type nearly any symbol by holding down the alt key and pressing a few numbers. Since I know little to nothing about computers I found this out on accident and don't really know if it is common knowledge or not, lol. Here are some random ones that I made up real fast "̢̢̮ââ‰â¬ÅÃâ¦Ã¢â¬â¢D*|[̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¢Ãâã[-8̢̢̮ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ÃâãÃÆââââ¬Ã
  20. So, this thread is basically 5 pages of spam? Lol  Just because everyone's skulls are 5inches thick, I'll post it again  . I hardly think that general p2p forums should be used instead of a dictionary or the equivalent online. Over 5 pages of garbage because you couldn't type in dictionary.com or *gasp* grab one of themz big paper thingies called a book? :P Seriously, though, this was a poor choice for a topic other than pointing out how many people don't grasp what they read and/or don't actually READ what they reply to. This thread needed a lock before page 2.
  21. He will return your smallest pouch but you must kill the abyssal monsters until you get your others. Always drop your pouches if you are about to die and simply return as soon as you are dead and pick them back up. If I remember correctly EVERYTHING protects over them; I think even quest items, lol.
  22. Feel free to explain what cosplay is to the noob that just clicked this topic...
  23. Aww, nirvana. Would be the classic community squared. :D
  24. I would sell your yew longs and keep at the fletching until mage longs. Fast and easy xp and people are always looking for junk to alch. You should buy the bow strings (or buy flax then craft em) and the logs. I think you can sell yew longs for over 600 ea which saves you the money on the nat. After you can make mage longs then feel free to alch them since you are making a profit even if you buy everything. Yew longs alch at 768 minus 250-350 (yews) = 518-418 minus 100-200 (string/flax) = 418-218 minus 250-350 (nat) = 168-(-)132 "profit" Mage longs alch at 1536 minus 1k (magics) = 536 so are superior especially if you don't alch.
  25. This is a technical question that most people don't know the answer to. Also help and advice is a rather slow forum. Try pming a mod that put up the sticky about fixing runescape. RSN is in sig.
